That’s our aim. So many channels out there are worried about not saying nice things as it impacts them getting cars. We tell the truth and hopefully the cars keep coming our way.
I have seen a comment about "supporting the channel".... Totally happy to do that, as soon as realistic prices are talked about. Mass market affordability is where it needs to be not rich ponce limited run cars! Even, supporting and showing where the nearly new bargains are.?
@DiscoverEV As an enthusiast I have had to patch together The Electric Viking, EVM and Definitely not a Guru. Just to understand EV battery life, the cost of running an EV and where to find an EV that is truly affordable. No one channel has all the real information. Especially, no UK channel that focuses on UK issues. Whilst you can't make a living out of just bringing the facts and I understand a bit of bling is good. I do think that there is room for a channel with the right name, to help people in the UK discover the affordable truth. As channels like The MacMaster are able to fund themselves just by spreading nonsense and rumours.

A very direct and informative review. Of all the mainstream EVs coming soon, I'm most looking forward to the Renault 5. To me the Alfa Romeo Junior is just a blinged up Fiat 600/Peugeot 2008/Citroen eC3 with more power.
Sorry but STARTING an EV at £32,000 and saying "for that money you can't go wrong!" is utter nonsense... That is not AFFORDABLE as a starting price. The Dacia Spring at £14,995 is the real starting price and more manufacturers need to get a model down to that price as a starter.
True, but lots of EV’s now coming between £20k and £30k. That’s the same price as ICE hatches, but agree still too expensive for the majority of buyers.
the alfa romeo 'VELOCE' is pronounced vel otchi, ....also, when you were in the macan talking horsepower.... the PS is always more than BHP (1BHP =1.014 ish PS), and final edit/constructive criticism (only trying to help, no hate) is 'Alpine' is pronounced 'Alpeen' but apart from that....good job
Sad but true: many of us Brits seem to think everything foreign should be pronounced as though it were French. Hence 'vell-os' for 'vell-o-chay' (here); 'porsh' for 'por-shuh' (almost every car show); and, in far too many Italian restaurants, 'broo-shetta' for 'broo-sketta'. And don't get me started on how even the doctors mangled Clostridium difficile (it should be 'dee-fee-kee-lay', not 'diff-iss-eel'). Still, it's not a bad world if this is the worst problem in it (spoiler: it isn't). Pedants unite! :-)
To an anglophone, the 'pine' of Alpine (not a Sunbeam) will actually sound much more like how the word for that small sharp object is pronounced: pin. An english speaker should not even think about that last "e", to them it remains silent (slight exception: a speaker with a pronounced Provençal accent would terminate the word just as Germans do Porsche, with an "uh" sound for that last e). Thus, the closest approximation for "Alpine", as it would be pronounced in Dieppe (home of Alpine) and by the vast majority of native French speakers, should be read as "Al-pin" by a native English reader, not "Al-peen". Try walking into a hardware store and asking for a ball-pin hammer if you think there is no difference between "pin" and "peen"...
18:18 I've always hated the way beamers look, because of that silly "grill" design (like they're trying to give the car nostrils) and that one was no better sadly.
It is funny how you refer to the British flag on the R5 as a Fauxpas, but you do pronounce the very, very French brand Alpine as if it was a British mountain sport…😂
I LOVE the idea of the Renault 5. Also that Maserati is like every old model they have ever made. I literally can’t see any difference, in the style. except the terrible colour.
