The Aquila sells it for me more than the Corsair. Yeah, the Corsair has a great amount of fire power and a well-organized sleeping/living area, along with a nice cargo and entry design. But we are also talking exploration here and what do you need when looking for stuff, being able to find/see it and the Aquila has one of the best pilot scanners in this range AND then you have that scanner turret... They need to convert one of the births in the Corsair to a med3 bed and add a small pad to land other ships on the roof. There is already a elevator that goes there anyway. Fitting a Fury or Pisces up there would be an easy way to utilize space. No garage needed...just piggy-back it. You would then have room in the cargo bay for supplies and a ground vehicle. Figure out the radar issue and you would have a great compact-ish exploration ship. I joined SC years ago because of the exploration game play and am still waiting for something.
@@Quottrup1998 that's guns. Not ship size. The 600i is classified as sub cap aka S5. S4 is a large ship which is the constellation series and the Corsair. Same with the MSR, 400i and others.
I have the slight feeling that people have a very different idea about "exploration" than CIG does. Its NOT going to be a matter to look at scanner screens, discovering new planets or whole systems. For all it looks like, exploration is about to go out and actively DO stuff, like flying around and exploring. That means that any special equipment is more or less a gimmick. The Odyssey's fuel refinery, the Carrack Jump sensors and drones, all gimmicks and nice to have, but nothing that you will need to have to explore. Besides that, the Corsair has "a szate of the art scanning suite". It just doesn't have animated atennas or a manual turret (which is jet to stay when the ship will get reworked). Maybe people should stop fantasising about what they thing how explorarion will look like. The 100 systems we moght get in the next years are all mapped and known. Exploration will happen in detail, not in large scale of the great unknown.
@@QuotidianStupidity well they can, AFTER they have the original 100 starsystems in game. Its not a priority. The wormhole system already gives you much to discover, such as going into a system at a totally different place. Or even connecting two systems that have no direct connection. And tbose transient jumppoints are only temporary. But to be honest, exploration in SC will be more on a POI or deposit type of level, not on a planetary or even star system type of level. Finding valuable items will most likely require you to leave your ship, drive to some POI and get in on foot. And the simple "fly through a jumppoint, new system discovered, done" thing. The core of exploration in SC is to go out there and stay selfsufficient for as long as possible to find something of worth. Not new worlds or systems. Star Citizen is a NPC driven universe that is not relying on players to show up and save the day.
Now that they nerfed the corsair, the clear winner is the connie. Corsair pilots lost 2 of their main guns. What a joke to give 2 out of 4 front facing weapons to a co pilot.
The flaws of the connies is what make them so lovable and special to player, the ship in the lore is very old so it doesn't bother me that a lot of thing is rubbish with it , like the belly turret or the window visibility. to me its not flaws its his identity ! I love it like it is , sure we can improve it but i wish they will not kill the feel that ship gives you.
What are you talking about the Corsair has specialized equipment for exploring other peoples cargo holds. I do think that when they make improvements to scanning gameplay they should give the corsair a scanner that is specialized in scanning other ships. That could be why it has an extra computer, it doesn't be powerful scanners it just needs a lot of processing to see past shielded cargo
The wings will (supposedly) let it fly much better in atmosphere that the Connie. Don't get me wrong they are huge targets, but none of the essential components other than some guns are attached to them.
@@038alpha Yea the Connie is more like a helicopter (or a futuristic VTOL plane that can hover for a bit) those atmo fans will help the thrusters not burn out. @@AceofSpades9366 You only need to own the ship and during IAE you will be gifted the BIS skin, which is separate from the package. Now if you get the package deal then yeah, it goes bye bye.
Is there a way to see which ship teams made which ships?
All i want a Valkyrie with forward fire weapons when no gunners . and i would looove to get a cargo variant
My Connie is old, awkward and outdated. But at least she's not a Drake.
ahahahahah..........caught me off guard with that one. Touché.
The amount of connie wreckage I have left across the verse😤
nice video bro but corsair everyday drake for life
The Connie is better in every way but firepower but you will never see me in anything but my corsair 😂
There are still ships you didnt mention that the Corsair can fit 😂 i personally as a racer like that i can carry my Razor on the Corsair
Man that mass effect music brings me back man
what about the 600i ?
@@YahyaDingDong 600i is a carrack competitor. It's an S5 ship whereas the Connie and Corsair are S4s
@@Rippedyanu1connie has 4x S5
Edit: And Corsair has 4x S5 and 2x S4 for the pilot
@@Quottrup1998 that's guns. Not ship size. The 600i is classified as sub cap aka S5. S4 is a large ship which is the constellation series and the Corsair. Same with the MSR, 400i and others.
@@Rippedyanu1nvm my last comment. Thought you meant the weaponsizes
@@Rippedyanu1 thanks
Doesn't mean they won't ever allow new procedurally generated systems to become available should someone "discover" a new wormhole.
What a joke to give 2 out of 4 front facing weapons to a co pilot.
yeah downsize guns would be enough for now. but if those npcs is coming to help. it's gonna be really good again.now Connie is better.
Wings on Corsair are big disadvantage. Cross section and vulnerable.
The wings will (supposedly) let it fly much better in atmosphere that the Connie. Don't get me wrong they are huge targets, but none of the essential components other than some guns are attached to them.
@@mhmm4840 although connie is supposed to handle stationary atmo flight much beeter
@@038alpha Yea the Connie is more like a helicopter (or a futuristic VTOL plane that can hover for a bit) those atmo fans will help the thrusters not burn out. But the Corsair will be able to leave it in the dust/maneuver better through tight spaces at high speeds. They are similar ships but they fly very different (eventually).
Corsair loses to connie with 4x 5s now after nerf to corsair.. thanks cig..
