Best sailing I ever had is when I sailed the 470. I enjoyed more then yachting. about 3 other craft where faster on lake Ontario Canada. One was a wind surfing a catamaran and once in a while a yacht.
I never knew the exact speed but sometimes jumped waves of 2m. Also excellent sailboat for slow winds. Any slow wind and the 470 goes. And with the spinnaker its just nuts.
We placed 8th at the world champs, qualifying our nation and meeting the selection criteria. So we have been selected for the Olympics and are currently in Europe learning as much as we can on the world cup circuit!

i have a boat that looks exactly like this one here in the Netherlands, it's about 15 - 20 years old, about 4.10 meters long, color dark blue, weight about 45-60 kg and it has a (flying)bat "mark" in the sails we have never seen one like it before, maybe someone has an idea what it could be ?
