Great video. Thank you for sharing! We're just learning to handle a 470, but it's a marvellous boat :-) We call it a 2 person surfboard!

Im new to trapeze sailing, and I really want to know how you can tack/gybe so quickly with a trapeze? Are there any techniques?

I never knew the exact speed but sometimes jumped waves of 2m. Also excellent sailboat for slow winds. Any slow wind and the 470 goes. And with the spinnaker its just nuts.

Best sailing I ever had is when I sailed the 470. I enjoyed more then yachting. about 3 other craft where faster on lake Ontario Canada. One was a wind surfing a catamaran and once in a while a yacht.

i have a boat that looks exactly like this one here in the Netherlands, it's about 15 - 20 years old, about 4.10 meters long, color dark blue, weight about 45-60 kg and it has a (flying)bat "mark" in the sails we have never seen one like it before, maybe someone has an idea what it could be ?
