I miss the good old days when secret identities were a thing. This innocent Christopher Reeves style Superman is the way it should be done. I'm sick of everybody in the cast knowing who the superhero is and Superman going evil all the time.
0:53 "While he is in total disbelief that a dork like Clark could be this strong" Uh...let's take a look at the comic panel at this point in the video. Clark is a good couple inches taller, and much more muscular (chest, back, arms). It really shouldn't that shocking. 🤣🤣
Thinking about it shaking Clark kent's hand should be the abslote biggest tell he is super man. As it should feel like shaking a stronger material them titaium yet still as light as anyone's elses hand. As by far Superman's greatest combat ability is being actually invernble and not even a modern tank round to the chest phases him not even pushing in his skin touching him. Now how many people notice inuniverse that he is that invinceable when it's a suttle effect. That only us IRL seeing their world from the outside retining are shown and even we by large don't think that much of so what chance do the few people who shake Clark's hand would put two and two together? Likely not many but it is weird that know one thinks it's weird that Clark kent has no squish to it. As even the hardest low body fat Men with the manlesss of man hands IRL have atleast some squish in their hand.
When people see someone with glasses ,they immediately imagine a skinny dork without any physhical strenght. Clark glasses are different, the black frames make him look older and also dorkier than any other type of glasses.
@@thatcomicsman Then they shake his hand and the ilution is install broken... like he can hide his untraiully big muscles very well and he can act as much as he wants... But the second someone shakes his hand and it feels infinitely stronger then any material they have ever felt before. Even Captain America and Ironman would take a second to think this what in the world is this feeling? Much less the people who Clark normally shakes hand with one likely only now what steel feels like... And I don't think anyone has even said Clark has a firm hand shake which should be common do to his act. Like honestly it would only make sense if Clark was always nervous and actively avoided hand shakes and when he did he was hyper ackword about it. Giving the person shaking his hand more to think about then how infinitly strong his skin is. Even then Luis should know the second their hands touch. So yeah givwen how important his in mutble skin is you would think that it would be given this level of care when Clark kent shakes hands... Really odd it isn't.
Also Clark kent is always depicted extremely well like take any shot of him from anything and Superman from anything and it would always seem like they are two very different characters... So it's very odd that the few times Clark is shown having a hand shake it seems very normal not Clar being extremely akward about it. I mean it doesn't ruin the Superman IP for me and can be assumed that just didn't show it but it is something that could be easily improved.
@@thatcomicsman It's an interesting point about the squish which makes much more sense if you go with the John Byrne version of Superman. He portrayed Superman as having mental powers. That's why he could pick up an entire building by the corner and the building doesn't fall apart. The green kryptonite thing was mostly psychological trauma. Most of Superman's powers are plausibly telekinetics. His x-ray vision is of course clearaudience and his Frost and heat revision are pyro kinesis. Also in most movies and in the comic books it's clear that Clark doesn't feel hard or lack squish or it would be an obvious immediate giveaway so we can assume that he has a little bit of give, but he's impenetrable to damage.
Clark relaxes his grip which feels like a firm handshake to normal people. This prevents normal people from figuring out something is off. As to his muscles, Clark is wearing a suit that is two sizes bigger than him which diminishes his muscular build, making him look less chiseled and defined.
Clark Kent aka superman is stronger than he looks just ask Doomsday 😎who can clash or go toe and toe with him with many and many of their fights or Darkseid?
@@thatcomicsman A friend claimed that people thought me being tall was some kind of challenge, but honestly I like your idea better, I am a grade A nerd and act like one.
I know he ain't a real character but john doesn't deserve that uniform,it's disrespectful to use his status as a military man to force himself on women
If you want to know what happened next, watch this video: th-cam.com/video/ndAoICM-g8w/w-d-xo.html
I mean even if he wasn't Superman, Clark was still raised as a farmer lifting tons of wood and haystacks
I have cousins who grew up on the farm, they were all so strong and buffed, just from farm work
Farm Strong!
Funny thing is, even if Clark was just a human he is still a 6"2 ripped Farmer.
And famers are freaking strong as hell.
I like the fact that he looks a bit like Christopher Reeves in this artwork.

just because you have glasses people disregard you
But a girl scout with a little green rock could take him down in secs.
I bet that was like putting your hand in a vice grip. ! 😂 😂
probably :D

I'm no superman..and I can be a bit of a dork.. But, I've done this..
You're no Superman? Sounds like something Superman would say 🤔
Superman shake hands with metallo
indeed
No shit he's stronger than he looks, that applies to any human-looking character in fiction that can shatter a brick wall with a punch

Seriously do those glasses make a guy who's built like a linebacker look like a 98 pound weakling?
not just the glasses, but the attitude also maters. If you act like a "dork",people assume you are one.Perception is easy to manipulate

John Corben becomes Metallo, so his creep factor was in place. This version was not a criminal like in previous continuities.
