The dogs have more brains that most Uber drivers! So it doesn't surprise me you call them the best people you've met.
Luckily my dog is not for sight or hearing and I'm not a push over. I'd just get in the car whilst already recording waiting for the issue to start and then refuse to leave, stating I'm now recording the drivers illegal activities and there will be legal action over the discrimination. That seems to scare most. Maybe it helps I'm not a small person too.

i used to have layovers in England several times a year and the cabs often tried to refuse me with my wchair bc it took up the whole space so they only could fit me and no extra fares. the last time it happened, the other ppl in line for cabs noticed and started telling them they would nit get into a cab until i was on my way. there's good and bad out there.

Yes there sure are great people out there, well there was lots of them on one day a bus driver refused me because of my seeing eye dog. 5 years ago I was with my first dog at the bus stop, and when the bus came, we got on, but then the driver said no dogs allowed, and when I explained that he was a seeing eye dog and it’s illegal to refuse access, he got argumentative. When people saw my dog and realised I’m blind, about 15 people got off the bus and at least 3 gave the driver an earful saying shame on you doing this to a vulnerable member of our society, and they all rallied around me and said don’t worry mate, we’ll wait with you for the next bus and we’ll help you report that a hole driver he is a disgrace.

It's because a lot of mini cab drivers are muslim and consider dogs to be "unclean" so won't take a passenger with a guide dog. I think that if someone out there can set up a minicab company that will only hire drivers who will take passengers with guide dogs consistently, if they don't they will be very quickly unemployed. The problem with a lot of cab companies is that the drivers use their own cars.

We had pre-emptive measures for security etc when I was doing pizza delivery when the wife and I first got together too. Only had enough change for a 50 note max (with extra stashed in the car in-case of a 100), the wife would lock the doors as I got out so no-one could creep and we had constant contact with some burly mates on 2way radio and only had to mention help and the location and it was on for young and old. Had a few weapons that were easy to put hands on too. Luckily we never had an issue, even in povo areas.

Unfortunately just siding with the animal handler could mean the dog had been rolling in cow crap but the driver looses their job for refusing an unhealthy animal. There needs to be video evidence I feel proving which side is right and why else it opens it to abuse from either side.
