This game has been at the top of my Steam wishlist for years holy crap, I thought it was vaporware. Glad to finally see if this fits my need for more Zelda 2.

It's Friday 6am and you're ten. You learn school's been cancelled because of the rain, but you're too excited to go back to sleep or eat breakfast. You tell your friends over IM or your 3210 to come over. You're playing the game you're all excited about. Then you boot up your SNES, a bit greasy from you having pizza while playing.
It's 16bit graphics, but to you they're real, more real; the seething greens of leaves that make you forget it's the rainy season, the reddest berries with just two pixels of white to show you how juicy they are, the empty grey trail of swinging your cruddy short sword that makes you feel like a badass anyway.
Your mom orders pizza, and there's an unlimited supply of Airheads, Kornets, and Pepsi Twist. You're the weird kid who likes green peppers on your pizza, so all your friends give you theirs and you feel extra special. After switching controllers for four rounds trying to defeat the second boss, it's you who finally defeats it. As if on timing, the storm stops. You don't believe it. They don't either. And just like that, even thirty years later, you have something you can revisit with your friends. "Do you remember when-" You don't even need to finish the sentence. They already know what you mean.
That's me in three weeks, bell pepper pizza and all.

How beautiful this game looks, what colors, how fresh, and the pixel art is very refined, with very original animations! It reminds me a lot of Zelda 2 and Faxanadu from the NES and sometimes Castlevania (the Metroidvania style ones). It really looks very fresh, I think children, teenagers and even the most veterans will like this game. It is fortunate to have these independent developers who opt for the long-awaited 8 and 16-bit retro video game style to make their creations. The truth is that they make you really want to play this game. Best of luck to Talegames with this Faeland game, keep up the good work, you are doing a great job. Cheer up Talegames!!!

Holy crap, the music in this trailer is amazing! The style here immediately sounded familiar to me and reminded me of Pongball, so I had to check, and yep, turns out she is one of the composers involved in this game! While I of course can't 100% confirm she was the one who composed this theme, it's an amazing piece of of music nevertheless! It's rare to hear anyone nailing the style of SNES RPG music this hard.
Haha, you are right! Shannon Mason (Pongball) is the composer of this track, among many others in the game ;)
The style she came up for this track led the whole soundtrack. Another very talented composer joined later, his name is Eric Benaim, and he has done a terrific job as well. We can't be more proud to count on both of them! :D

I never heard of this game. I'm going to give this a chance once I get to it, the spritework looks incredibly cute. it sort of reminds me of Hook from the snes and various Psygnosis games back in the day.

This kind a reminds me of Zeliard. Which is a good thing, just so I'm clear. :)
It's a little too on the nose at times, but it looks like a lovely game, in the veins of AoL, SQ, and Faxanadu, which are some of my favorites on the NES.
Maybe it's just unfortunate palette application, but sometimes it kinda looks like he's rolling around with his bare cheeks to the wind in a couple of spots. Lol

this feels like a gameboy advanced game specifically.
The animations seem a bit slow. Are there any plans to speed them up?
I was thinking the same thing, looks like flashback movement when there is a delay from button press to character movement.

Hi @MrKratosin, thank you for that question! The majority of the game content is already implemented. The plan by going Early Access now is precisely to acquire valuable feedback while we finish the following chapters. Hope this explains better the current state and the plan for next steps! :)
