    Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

    As soon as I saw you sitting on the floor in your daughter's bedroom I knew you had my answer. My daughter's dresser has the same problem. Now, thanks to you, I can fix it. Greatly appreciate your video! So many great tips I never would have thought of.

    So happy to come across this video. I wasn't sure how to even start to fix my dresser drawer. Especially benefitted from advice on how to source the parts from EBay. I doubt I would have been able to do this repair project without the tips you provided. THANK YOU!

    You're not going to believe this, but what I was looking for, was a video showing where to put those little "L" shaped drawer guides,
    which I can see at 0:26, and clearly see at 2:58, and I think I can see them at the back at 4:30, for anyone else who might be looking for the same thing,
    so thank you for that! It really helped.
    Good luck with all of your projects!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I purchased on old dresser to re-do but did not know what I was getting myself into with replacing all the drawer slides. After two unsuccessful purchases of new slides from Lowes, I found your video! Exact same slides and issue that my dresser had. Got the replacement parts off eBay and BOOM! Done! 6 drawers fixed. And thanks so much for all the details like using pliers to bend back the metal (had to do that too)! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

    A good old carpenters trick for striped holes. Is to glue toothpicks into hole. The break or cut the top off. Then you have something for screws to hold.

    Great job bud thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have many myself and always give back to TH-cam as well. I will subscribe to your channel hopefully any of mine can help you some day. I just bought a second hand king bedroom set but 5 of the drawers are broken. I got the set for 650.00. It was for sale for 700.00 but I asked for some off for fixing the drawers. It’s all gonna cost me 700 now for a set that would cost me 2,500. So thanks again for the video. Already ordered the parts 😁👍🏻

    Need to replace center track in draw. There is a metal track in the dresser. Do I need to replace both pieces? The measurent of draw is 16", however, the length of metal attached to draw is 17 " & the track attached in cabinet is 17". Can I send you a pic as I watched your video & not sure what to do.

    This is awesome. Very clear, concise instructions with nice visuals. One thing you might consider doing in future videos is add in a voice over of yourself explaining the process while you are actually performing the repair. Watching you install screws in silence can be a bit deterring for viewers who are used to constant interaction in a TH-cam video.

    Very helpful. Would suggest instead of drilling and using nuts and bolts, you just plug the overside holes with glue and golf tees, then use the new screws.

      Slide the drawer out until it stops, grab both sides and snatch it out. Make sure you are holding it level.

    Dude I have this exact furniture set for our daughter and these slides are complete crap!!!! I have replaced about half of them so far and the best way is to us the metal reinforcement otherwise they keep breaking!! I am looking into just replacing the whole mess with actual ball bearing glides....

    Good video, but you start with the drawers already removed. I have the same issue going on with a slightly different piece of furniture. I can't get the drawer out. What's the secret to removing the drawers that have the broken rear bracket? Thanks.

    • @VancesHowTo
      @VancesHowTo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      These drawers would come out by just pulling hard. However, I have worked on different pieces of furniture which had different types of stops holding them in. Sometimes there is a small plastic tab that has to be pushed out of the way to get the drawer out. In that case, you reach in through the drawer and have to feel for it at the top. Unfortunately, different manufacturers do different things to keep the drawers from accidentally coming all the way out during normal use. Good luck!

    • @VancesHowTo
      @VancesHowTo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, if you don't have broken pieces that you can just replace, it will be a job for a carpenter. You will need someone to make/repair the slides in your furniture, and that's out of my expertise too.

    • @VancesHowTo
      @VancesHowTo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For this particular dresser, you just continued to pull hard and it released. I've also worked on some that have a catch inside that you have to reach inside the drawer to release it.

    Do you know where someone could find the metal tracks or what they would be called. Looking to retrofit an old piece and this looks like the only thing that might work.

      I did a quick search using keywords "tracks to work with kenlin rite-trak" and get a few good hits. Here's one of them: www.furniture-savings.com/various-kenlin-replacement-parts/rite-track-ii-drawer-track.html
      I've never bought them, but looks similar. Good luck!
