I remember in 1966 seeing David Warner come way down stage and look out at the audience and say very softly and gently - ' The time is out of joint. O cursed spite - that ever I was born - to set it right '. And it broke your heart and it has stayed in my mind for fifty three years. No revolvers in those days - with Hamlet ridiculously shooting Polonius - what about the noise? For goodness sake?
It’s a contemporary take on Hamlet. Not every production is going to look the same. I, for one, absolutely adore this interpretation of one of the greatest tragedies
The man who plays Hamlet is incredible!
He is Paapa Essiedu, if I have spelled correctly from memory. And the play looks really good! I would love to go see it.
+Ask Martin Freeman yeah that's the name, thanks!
The entire production is wonderful.
A thought provoking collaboration between Shakespeare and the Lion King
I think I read that the aesthetic was actually inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat!

I'm glad I missed this Hamlet.
How is this Hamlet? They've butchered this classic as usual.
What a shallow-minded way to view a modern adaptation.
Sorry, I think it sucks.
