Oh, my goodness! This is so intriguing. Is it all in modern English? I am coming from Minnesota (USA) just to see this production March 15. Can't wait to see it and tell my students (studying Hamlet right now) all about it. Wow!
I'm sure it will all be in the original text...which is basically modern English. there are just some antique phrases and poetic rewordings, but other than that, shakespeare wrote in the same language we speak today.
+Bonnie Christilaw I saw the show last night, and it's all in original Shakespearean text! But it is set in modern times. This trailer definitely catches the eye. And the production itself was just absolutely mind blowing. Truly a masterpiece! Papa Essiedu (Hamlet) was spectacular. Defo see it if you can!! :)
Don't judge the play by this trailer please. The play is well thought out and sophisticated. They make some brand new choices to a done to death text which breathes a breath of fresh air to it. I was skeptical before but I'm so glad I watched it. It would also be a good first Hamlet too
