      Everyone 100% should have a junper pack of some type in their trunk or emergency kit.

    I bought one before the end of March. The key selling point for me was the -40°F preheat feature

      It's rare it gets cold enough here that I would need it, but if you live in a climate that you'll see that temp it's definitely a good feature to have!

    I bought one at Christmas. And just purchased another one today. They are nice for the price, IMO.

      Yes they are. I really like the digital screens these have so you can get a lot better idea of how much power you have left.

    I just received mine in Europe. I got convinced after my friend used it to jump start a 13L Volvo FH500 (European Semi Truck) 😮

    Great review, had to deal with a dead battery today and the hulkman
    was recommended. Your vid convinced me 👍& I'll be using
    your link to purchase. Thanks

      Dealing with a dead battery is never fun, so I always keep a jumper pack in my cars now. It's just one more way I can be prepared to help myself instead of being stuck. Thank you for using my link also!

    Thanks for the input you sent me on my Twitter! Thought I'd pop over and check your channel out too! Love the figures in the cabinet behind you!

      Thanks! I'm actually working on starting a second channel too, to talk more about collecting that sort of stuff. Best of luck in your YT ventures!

      @@DriverJsGarage oh that’s awesome!!! You’ll have to share the link with me once you do! I have a couple of other channels as well! I collect ball jointed dolls and a few other types of figures which I unbox and share on my “Annyeong BJD” channel 😅 …and I also have a channel for my crafts. You’re almost to 1000 on this channel! Congrats! I just subbed to you! You’ve got this!

      I started with a lego review, but I've got a few reviews of other figures filmed, just need to get edits done... lol

    Do you have the 85s or just the 85??? And what the difference between the two ??

    • @DriverJsGarage
      @DriverJsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the Alpha85. I looked over the specs Hulkman provides and the only thing that stood out to me is the claimed operating temps for Alpha85s could work down at lower temps. Otherwise all the specs seemed to be the same from what I saw.

    How does this compare with the Noco Boost Plus GB40 you reviewed a couple years ago? That looked like a good unit too. Are you still using it?

    • @DriverJsGarage
      @DriverJsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I didn't get to do any longer term testing on the NOCO, my truck was broken into and the NOCO was one of the things stolen. I've had the Hulkman in one of my cars and used it over winter to help a few other motorists. I actually like the Hulkman better than the NOCO if only because of the display that gives a better indication of how much power I've used.
      Otherwise I think both of them were solid packs.

    Hey is it possible to charge a car battery with this or is it only good for a jump start?

    • @DriverJsGarage
      @DriverJsGarage  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not meant for charging the battery, only jump starting.

      @@DriverJsGarage I just got mine. Will it work in extreme weather? Like 20 below, it can get like that with chicago winters.

    • @DriverJsGarage

      The lowest I've ever ended up using mine was -10* F and it was able to get the vehicle I used it on to start.
      Even though I have this, I still keep jumper cables in my vehicle just in case.

  • @Hannsom7

    how is that noco doing does it still work?

    • @DriverJsGarage
      @DriverJsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't have the NOCO charger any more, my truck got broken into and it was stolen along with my emergency road side kit, a bag that I kept with changes of clothes for my kids, and my head unit... So I can't tell you.
      The Hulkman I tried out in this video is still in the trunk of my E46 and still holds a charge and can start a car (I've had it for over a year now).

    Long cables = more resistance

    • @DriverJsGarage
      @DriverJsGarage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not talking about 10' cables, but a bit extra length, maybe double what current is, would make it easier to set somewhere safer in more vehicles.

    Your volume is all over.

    • @DriverJsGarage
      @DriverJsGarage  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sure is.
      Story time!
      I'm still learning editing tools as I make each video, I'm still getting new equipment for making videos all the time. At the time I made this I no longer had a phone I could plug my old mic for a mobile device into, and didn't have a personal garage (community garage at the time).
      So in the garage good audio was all but impossible due to the echo, and any tweaking of that just resulted in the echo sounding worse.
      Some of the video was shot on a camcorder, some on a DSLR, some on a cell phone, leveling that audio was not something I had practice in at the time.
      But thanks for the comment none the less, and hope other than the varied audio, I hope you liked the video.
