I agree. One of the best video's of this park i've seen.
Most of the video's from foreign visiteurs are about the rides, but you didn't skip the most authentic parts of the Efteling.
And Maddie looks like a caracter that escaped from Sprookjesbos.

The Efteling is my special interest (i'm a high sensitive person) and it makes me SO happy to see people discover this wonderful world!
Totally my new cut puppy edition, to see people discovering Efteling, their excitement makes me so happy. These guys are really really cute and fun to watch, well done!
I always love people's reaction to Villa Volta. Everyone who rides it for the first time, their jaw literally drops through the floor.
De sprookjesboom is also a kids program on the television. It was about the life of the efteling fairytales and things like that. It was always very fun to watch when i was a little kid.
And it always ended with the sentence: Maar dat, dat is weer een ander verhaal. (translation: But that, that is another story)
Ahw its so fun to see you guys had so much fun at the efteling. Its so nostalgic for me.

I really like that you guys included the fairytale forest. Most reviews of the park are only about the rides. And it is the fairytales that actually make the park so increadible! Ik hoop dat jullie veel plezier hebben gehad in Nederland :)

Awesome set of videos. Really warms my heart seeing people from outside the Netherlands enjoy the Efteling so much.
Trivial facts: Langnek and the donkey are each part of a fairy tale that's located nearby their location. Langnek has a wall explaining the story with a narrator and the other part of the story of the donkey is inside a house with animatronics and a mirror-illusion.
Ive been multiple times to the Efteling and I still enjoy the park to its fullest . And just all the stories and the music is great it really takes you to another world 😊🙂

Word goes that Mister Disney himself was exploring the park when it just opened and when he saw the castle of sleeping beauty he was inspired to build the one found in Disney parks all around the world.

No offense but, Walt actually took inspiration from a castle build in Germany for the Sleeping Beauty castle in Paris. Efteling based its rides off of Disney and their tales, that’s why you for example get to see Sleeping Beauty in the Efteling park. :)

gyqz I never said which one opened up first. All i’m saying is that Walt took inspiration of actual castles build throughout the world, the one in Paris being based off a castle in Germany. I’ve visited Efteling a hundred times as I live close to it, the park has changed a lot over the years. New attractions have been build. Sprookjesbos for example is based on fairytales, most of them being from Disney. The flying dutchman, based of Pirates of the Caribbean etc...

You might be right about the Disney castles being based on actual castles. But, the fairytales of sprookjesbos are based on stories from the brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson (way older than any Disney movie). The flying Dutchman is an old folklore story from V.O.C.-times.
Disney just used the same stories in there movies and parcs. They didn't invent fairytales...

This soo awesome! I havn't Been to Efteling for 15 YEARS or so + I'm sort of parttime in a wheelchair wasn't back then, so this was perfect! Me and my boyfriend are planning mayby going this summer.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 Efteling forever, forever Efteling!
Highly recommend the water show in winter. It is dark when it plays then and the lights just look amazing! In summer it is a little less spectacular, because the sun is out, but still a lovely end of the day attraction. If you are lucky in fall or spring you have the water show during sunset.
The Efteling is greaatt! I've been sooo many times and you seem to have loved it as much as I always do! I believe you have already explained everything so well and there is not much to add (or to translate). It was an amazing video! Lots of love, from a really happy dutchie!
I really enjoy these kind of vlogs because the Efteling is somewhere I go at least twice a year (yes i'm dutch) and I am always amazed how people outside the Netherlands react to everything.

I live nearby the Efteling. And it's nice to see when new people discover this beautiful amusement park. Glad you liked it. In 2020 there will be a whole new area in the Efteling. The park will be bigger. And the rumour is that they gonna build another roller coaster in that new area. So you have to come back.
Aquanura is at its best when it is dark. Loved your vlogs about Efteling. Did you visit some other spots in the Netherlands?

I remember me and my very first boyfriend kissed in the Droomvlucht ride on a schooltrip when we were 14! It brings back so much memories watching this haha
I also took my German friend to Efteling when she was visiting and she enjoyed it so much more then my boyfriend and best friend who I dragged along hahaha

What an awesome super well edited video! 👍😊 My girlfriend and I live 20/30 mins driving from the Efteling and have a year pass for Unlimited access, and sometimes we just go there to sit and chill in the park. Especially in the summer its nice to just chill there.

I'm a little sorry you didn't get the story of Flying Dutchman or Baron 1898. they are amazingly detailed.

I love the fact that a grown man enjoys the Efteling so much. I have been there many times as a child but now I kinda really wanna go again
As a kid, I went to the Efteling every year, maybe sometimes two or three times, from a very young age. So to me the Efteling still this magical wonderful theme parc, but also a very familiar place that was just there and normal almost. It´s very much a piece of Dutch culture. Seeing this vlog made me see it all in a new way and that was so great! Thanks so much for showing this small pride for Dutch people in a beautifully edited way!

It's a wonderful park, and I really like to go there. There are enough attraction's for young child's, but also enough for older people!

This vlog is giving me nostalgia when I travelled with my family to the Netherlands and visited Elfteling for a day. The vlog part 1 of the theme I never rode them since they are recent but this video therr were so many rides that I remembee that I took when I went (I went when I was 5). This was my first theme park I have ever been to in my life. 💖

At school, we had a system for the school trips.Once in 4 years whe would go to a themepark. We went both times to the efteling. And the last one was in the last year and we got to walk around without teachers. Everyone knew the way because it was so close to us. It was always great fun.

I live near the efteling and i´m never get enough of it
Dream flight is my favourite one. No matter how long the line I always go for it whenever I'm in the efteling. I'm scared of rollercoasters so while my friends go there I mostly stay and do the fun, cool, magical rides XD
The Efteling is a typical Dutch themepark where in 1952 you could view ten fairy tales of the brothers Grimm for the first time. Research has shown that visitors from the UK find the park more fun than the Dutch. I notice that in your video. The fun radiates from you and Greg. You made a nice video of it.

There is a haunted house called "spookslot". and no.. The flying Dutchman is not wet at all :) it's designed and perfectly timed to make a big splash but with just a spray of water.. It's more spectacular to see it splashing in the water then that you can get wet in it (except for the odd time it does happen). This also enables the park to run the ride longer when it's colder (win/win) :)
I love Villa Volta so much, the story, the atmosphere, and most of all, THAT MUSIC!
Did you know that the fairy tale forest is the oldest part of the Efteling? When the efteling first started, that's all it was.
Back then "long neck" actually looked above the trees.
The story tree is new though.
