HASBARA BS!!!. The Romans got it from the Greeks. The term "Palestine" appeared in the 5th century BC when the ancient Greek historian Herodotuswrote of a "district of Syria, called Palaistinê" between Phoenicia and Egypt in The Histories. Herodotus applied the term to both the coastal and the inland regions such as the Judean mountainsand the Jordan Rift Valley. Later Greek writers such as Aristotle, Polemon and Pausaniasalso used the word, which was followed by Roman writers such as Ovid, Tibullus, Pomponius Mela, Pliny the Elder, Dio Chrysostom, Statius, Plutarch as well as Roman Judean writers Philo of Alexandriaand Josephus. -And actually the origin of the word dates back to “1150 BC: Medinet Habu (temple): records a people called the P-r-s-t (conventionally Peleset) among those who fought against Egypt in Ramesses III's reign.”
And why Lebanon is no longer Christian and the people regret ever inviting "Palestinians" to live there. *Palestine is the Roman name for Philistia, the Philistines, Israel's mortal enemy, who share no DNA with modern-day, so-called Palestinians and no longer exist.
And when the Romans conquered the kingdom of Judea in 63 BCE, islam didn't even exist. 63 BCE is 633 years before the birth of prophet Muhammed. All the Muslims claiming "Palestine" is hilarious.
@@airplanedude3103”Philistine” is another term to some use to refer to the region of the world called “Palestine,” originating from the group of people called the “Philistines” who settled in the region back in the 12th Century BCE. That's right. Palistine refers to a region and not a country; it includes a large part of Egypt, the Sinai, and Trans Jordan (and by some definitions all of Jordan). In fact, the vast majority of the socalled Palestinians in Jordan have never lived in Israel. And seeing how Jordan is part of Palistine, they already have a free Palistine, aka Jordan! In fact, the West Bank was once part of Jordan until the 1967 war, so the socalled Palestinians in the West Bank are actually Jordanians too. And Gaza was a part of Egypt until the Egyptian-Israeli war of 1967, so they are Egyptian. Arafat was Egyptian born. Half the Gazans are of Egyptian origin evidenced by their surnames and DNA testing.
The name of the region does not really matter. the "Arabs" are a separate ethnic group from the Jews, and even though they never had an independent state, they have been living as the major ethnic group in Palestine for the last millennium, and it was the Israelis that started forcibly displacing Palestinians, Whenever a two state solution was agreed upon the Israeli government would just violate it and go on to occupy rightfully Palestinian territory, and encouraging Israelis to settle the areas as a way of proving that it belongs to them. So many people believe the propaganda that Jewish people can't commit genocide because hitler (oh hey, its the answer from up there ^), and their homes and hospitals and schools continue to be bombed, their children continue to live in a literal war zone, and the international community continues to do nothing. You'd be angry and scared too. You'd be looking for any help you can get too. The last time Palestine had an election was 2006. 18 years ago. If you were one of those minorities, how would you feel then? I am not defending Hamas. Their actions are reprehensible. But to have that opinion when Hamas does it but not when Israel does it is pure hypocrisy. One can understand why a thing exists without condoning or supporting that thing, and just because a group has experienced genocide in the past does not mean they are incapable of committing genocide themselves.
Well you're knowledge is very limited. The Arab Peace Initiative has been around for over two decades now, and the PA has been on board the whole time, at least other than the brief period in which they were under Hamas control. It just calls for a two state solution negotiated on the basis of international law, and it's Israel who has never been pressured into accepting peace on those terms.

HASBARA BS!!!. The Romans got it from the Greeks.
The term "Palestine" appeared in the 5th century BC
when the ancient Greek historian Herodotuswrote of a "district of Syria, called Palaistinê" between Phoenicia and Egypt in The Histories.
-And actually the origin of the word dates back to “1150 BC: Medinet Habu (temple): records a people called the P-r-s-t (conventionally Peleset) among those who fought against Egypt in Ramesses III's
reign.”
There's a reason why Egypt and Jordan have big walls next to their borders

The last Palestinian election was in 2006. For all but 6 months of the last 73 YEARS, Israel has occupied Palestine in what experts are now calling an 'apartheid state'. You remember apartheid, yeah? South African genocide? Fun fact, the International Criminal Court is issuing Netanyahu an arrest warrant for violating the Rome Statute and participating in genocide against the Palestinian people and Israeli arabs.
Hamas =/= All Palestinians. If you were being oppressed for decades, your land and homes stolen, your movement restricted, your family relocated and denied basic human rights, Israeli arabs being denied citizenship, seeing your friends and family slaughtered by an occupying force....what would you do? Would you politely ask them for your rights, or vote for a group promising to defend you and give back the rights you've been denied? Imagine if Trump or Biden (whatever side you're on) was president for 18 years and kept registries of all minorities and sectioned off certain areas of cities minorities are allowed to live in.
Their proposal for peace is rather simple. For Israel to dissolve.
Well you're knowledge is very limited.
The Arab Peace Initiative has been around for over two decades now, and the PA has been on board the whole time, at least other than the brief period in which they were under Hamas control. Why did he take Hafez al-Assad's side over Israel once? Why did he even take Saddam Hussein's side over Israel once? Because he wasn't a Leftist Neocon America Last and Israel First lunatic who put the interests of the Democratic Party Colony that calls itself Israel over his own country.
And Israel lives side by side with Egypt. The problem is the damn Palestinians.
Oh and Egypt… and Syria, and Lebanon.
@@MrJoel9679don’t forget Saudi Arabia and Kuwait
Why are y’all so obtuse. Palestinians are their own distinct cultural group from Jordan, Syria, or Kuwait.
There is a reason the contemporary Austrian wouldn’t support a German annexation, because Austrians see themselves as distinct from Germany.
Puppets repeating the slogan they were given is as pathetic as it gets.
Agree
Most of them are Gen Z college kids which is embarrassing to me, A Gen Z high schooler. Not all of us are like this. I did my own research and i know most of the history behind it and i know the truth of what hamas has done.

what do you think hamas' goal was (also yes what hamas did was bad nobody is saying it isnt historical context matters so this doesnt happen again)
@@TariqTheGuy Yet if Hamas laid down their arms and surrendered the violence would stop. If the Israelis laid down their arms and surrendered, what do you think would happen? I can tell you.
