I made the same decision, for most of the same reasons. The R7 has been my camera since it came out. Was tempted by the R5 for the higher pixel density, but my main reason for getting a ff body was for less ISO noise. Advantage R6 II. The R7 is my first body with dual cards - I wanted two the same as insurance. I don't shoot videos or sports, so V90 cards are fine with me. Advantage R6 II .

GREAT vid explanation of your decision. I have the R6ii and Love it. SUGGESTION: Just for contrast and for those others looking for help, maybe do a 2nd vid for those who may benefit from going the opposite way and need a R5 for their needs. What do you think about my idea? 😊

I shot with the original R6 for four years. It was megapixels challenged at 20 mp. The photos were fantastic yet I still thought I needed the R5 for the 45 mp.I shot mostly weddings and portraits. After getting the R5 the image quality was not dramatically better than the original R6. I traded my R6 for the R6M2. The R6M2 has better auto focus and the 24mp is truly the sweet spot for image quality. IMO the picture quality overall is better for my work with The R6M2 vs. The R5. I have both but I use the R6M2 80% of the time

GREAT video my friend 😊 I have been doing the same back and forth on R5 vs R6 mk2 and the precapture is the deciding factor otherwise I think I need to keep saving for the R5 mk2 😢

i bought the r6 ii and r5, sold the r5 because i like the r6ii's color, high ISO performance, speed, and auto-focus better.

Pre-capture, better iso, 40FPS, better battery life, no overheating, better AF, HDR - with moving subject supression, Focus Bracketing, lighter than r5, cheaper, and also need to know that when you go to edit 45mpx files you need more computer power than 24mpx files... So, wise choice.

I find the r7 very poor in high burst mode focus reliability is bad. R6ii is brilliant just two low mp for me.
