  • Unfortunately I had to make this video and give everyone an update to my EcoFlow woes. I really need someone to help me figure out what I can do with these paperweights. Unfortunately it looks like ill be removing the batteries and just using the raw batteries with my own BMS. If there are any other ideas i'm all ears!

That's too bad that you're going through this. It's quite upsetting that they don't cover anything regardless of how you bought it. They can check by serial number whether it's still under warranty. Just because it's changed hands shouldn't mean the warranty is void. That's unacceptable as far as I'm concerned

Yea I’m with you. They even confirmed it was still within the manufacturer warranty if I had bought it from them. I’m very disappointed because the unit was actually exactly what I was looking for. Now I have to build an off grid system from scratch. Bluetti reached out to provide me one of their systems but I didn’t want to go through the whole thing of paying for it again and risking an issue.

I found most of that unit is left outside. They are trashed from the moist air that most people leave outside, which damages the PCB boards with solder joints that come with contamination. Before you had the unit, the person before you just left it outside.

Hi. I already using it for two years. Newer has issues after active camping use. What i did? After i bought, i made reset to default settings by pressing light and car charging both together for 10 seconds. After that, i connected it to my phone and upgraded it's firmware. Restored settings to its default by pressind two buttons mantioned above. Always doing restore default settings before every charge.

It is rare that warranty is transferable. Any thing you buy used is always a gamble. It is unfortunate you have problems with both of these units. I cannot blame manufacturer's not doing any warranty, like i mentioned, it is very rare those warranties follow through to new owners. Taking them apart is your best bet to try and repair, it very well could be an easy fix.

Had mine for 4 months. Then they stopped charging. I had it plugged in to the wall to charge at 80% max to maintain battery life. I also made sure to adjust the settings so that it would never go below 10% because discharging the battery all the way is not good either from what I understand. The red battery symbol with an exclamation point in it appeared. Also, the word, "overload" appeared. I haven't even used it yet to power anything. The solar panels didn't work when I plugged them in when I first got it...I wonder if the updates are screwing it up?

Hi,i have had the EC River pro, was set to 50hz when i got it and it wouldnt charge,so when i reached out to them, they replaced it within like one week and the new one was set to 60hz. I slso have the Delta Max and i havent had any issues with it though, both of my units were purchased brand new too. Have you tried a different DC to XT60 solar cable to charge the Delta Max? Have you also tried a firmware update on the Max? Thats a bummer what you are going through too man. Best of luck too.

If you take the small one apart you will most likely see the MPPT has a wet board and see some mosfets have popped which will need replacing if you can solder. The Delta pro you will need to take that apart and look at the power transformer section and look at the capacitor and resistor see if you notice a wet or burnt area

On the Delta unit, could you try and leave it plugged in overnight, solar if possible. Maybe its too dead to receive a charge. On the Pro unit, I did notice you were on 50hz, needs to be 60hz. Also I saw a video on the Pro units that the 30a plug was wired backwards, not sure if that's your issue...

I know that the converter to make your AC is also the the converter to charge your batterie . Normally it's 2 different circuit but Thay made it that way and it's really smart. But if you fry your AC input then you also fry your AC output .
So For me you can check the AC motherboard to chek what composant is dead and replace it. or if you don't want to do it then find an electronician that can check the board and do the replacement for you. Or if you can buy just this piece from an aftermarket if there is any for ecoflow.

I see that some commenters are trying to clown you with having bought second hand and not from the company directly, I say you had saved some money in the long run because Ecoflow is the Apple of these companies. All they do is pump out system models and price them then move on and hardly support those systems. There just like iphones, cheap item but at luxury prices, also Ecoflow customer service is a joke because they only support I got was their Facebook page. First and worst system bought, Ecoflow River with expandable battery. $650 new stopped working second year never charging or turn on again, same model refurbished from Ecoflow $265 worked for one year and 9 months but stopped charging by solar last week and discharges constantly just sitting around. About to buy another River model because they're on sale for $109 only because my expandable battery still is useful and I paid $300 for it, if it weren't for that then I'd have gone with Jackery or Bluetti.

Welcome to Eco Flow Customer Dis-Service.
I jumped on the bandwagon with their first crowd-funder and bought two of the Delta 1300's.
One has a 12VOLT ERROR flashing, but powers everything else with DC and AC, and will charge with solar and AC.
The other, I got a new panel with an XT60 on it, and failed to check it. It was reversed, and when plugging in, it made a popping sound, and then would not solar charge. (It charges on AC, but that is so inefficient that I never use it.)
So, CS went around and around with me. Said they didn't have records of my 2 units. I told them the date and credit card # that they cashed, and sent pics of the name plates and delivery dates. Then they wanted videos...I said "Of what, the unit sitting there and not charging from solar? And, of the error icons flashing?" Yep, they wanted all of that. So I asked them if they had added the reverse polarity protection diode to units after this one, and they wouldn't answer. (They saved a buck, and left me with a POS!) So, I send them the ridiculous pics/video. Finally, I told then I could live with the DC port not working, but on the other one I needed the solar charging fixed. They finally sent me an invoice; $470 for shipping (back to me) and repair! I told them the unit was not worth it, and to cancel the case. But no, I kept getting notices that I owed them money! So, I stopped trying to tell them to cancel, and hit a button on the PayPal invoice that asked "Do you recognize this invoice, or suspect it Is this a Scam?" I answered YES, and haven't heard from EF since.
I am very happy with my to Bluetti's though!
Best wishes, and Just Say NO to EcoFlow!

I will leave the second hand comment off, as others have echoed my thoughts (you don't really know how much abuse the previous owner but these things through). That being said, I definitely don't want you to get discouraged more, as off grid is a good lifestyle choice! :) The overloading the Pro by powering it with the gas genny was my thought as well. BUT! Here is something you can try for the smaller Delta. Are you able to get it connected to the mobile and and try and get a firmware upgrade? Somethings that helps even though it is the equivalent of smacking a TV to get a better signal. :) Again, don't get discouraged, as this stuff happens. I just made the jump from Goal Zero to EcoFlow products about 9 months ago, so I haven't had them long enough to learn all of the little idiosyncrasies they may have.
Edit: I had forgot to put that in your video when you talk about the Pro drawing power but the Max not charging, if the Pro is anything like my Delta 2 and even older Goal Zero, just having the inverter on takes about 7-9 watts.

It should be 60hz. ***EDIT*** Decided to look up this issue with Ecoflow & the same eroor shown here (flashing overload warning with flashing 50hz) is discussed by Ecoflow. The suggest the following. "disconnect the input>> press the power button for 10 seconds and let it off for 2 hours. Then turn it back on and test again.". considering you kept plugging in the unit. trying to charge it & trying to use it after the error message without correcting the error message first, there could have been some dmage done to the unit (which would explain the burnign smell your experienceing).

If you buy a car, motorcycle, etc. with a 5 years warranty from someone and it's 2 years old, would you say the same thing? The manufacturer's warranty should apply no matter who owns it.

Yeah, the customer service is worthless... For your delta pro there are a lot of TH-cam teardowns, I like jehugarcia reviews and teardown. Your delta max may need to be reset, and charged via the DC connection on the side. Withe the xt60 charge port for the back they will be either the yellow or orange. Yellow is standard but the the orange has 2 different male connectors that it will accept 1st is the car plug and internally is wired differently. This is due to typical car sockets being limited to lower amp capability, the 2nd is the solar and can push more amps and watts. The mppt controller will only take what it's able to, but more power can be fed into it. Hope this helps n f the customer service monkey's ...

Thanks man, I did try that and it just kept blinking. I agree I was hoping they would help me because I was ready to buy 4 batteries. I’ll take a look at his tear downs and see what I can do.

U tried to save a couple bucks & got robbed. Why didnt u go back to the guy who sold them to u and have him turn them in for warranty work? U dont even know the original purchase date, u dont know if they were stolen from a homicide victim or not.Just imagine these were stolen out of a house where somebody died AND U HAVE THEM ever heard of a smoking gun

Well, you did buy it second hand. So they're not obligated to do anything.
Not much you can do about it.

I agree. But its still within the 5 year warranty period. If I had bought straight from them they would honor it. Seems silly to not honor the same issue just because they didnt get my money first hand. Definitely a tactic to make everyone buy new.

I can tell you your problem right now is you're not supposed to use all those extension cords... You want to plug directly in, with at least 600 to 800 Watts in solar panels. For each unit.... Some people don't know you need a Y adapter for some of the ecoflows for a proper recharge..

    • @DianaRossOrlando
      @DianaRossOrlando 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Ecoflow told me that five 100 watt panels were maximum. One year later it won't take a charge with solar or electric. The bad press will get the word out that ecoflow is not a good choice because they are NOT interested in customers.

@@DianaRossOrlando You gotta read up on them solar panels. They say in the purchase that those 100 watt panels put out 400 to 500 watts per hour each panel I think you over charged your ecoflow...

@@DianaRossOrlando It is the volts that are dangerous. AMPS x VOLTS = WATTS. If 5 panels are wired in series, they might go over the volt limit and cause damage.
