@@TreasureHeartCreations I love your videos because of your creativity, affordability of materials and an awesome personality! Some videos use fabrics that are not necessarily out of my price range, but I would much rather use what I already have.. I grew up with the sayings "waste not, want not" and "Use it up, wear it out, make do or do without". (My parents grew up in the depression.)
I love this idea ! I'd love to see the full story. The blocks you did today are gorgeous. I am slowly getting things back to where I am more organized. I actually counted all my quilt tops, and I have 19 that are ready to be made into usable quilts. Plus, I have 3 that are sandwiched and ready to quilt, 2 that are quilted and need binding, and 3 more tops that need finished. Of those, 6 are staying here, 4 are gifts and the rest will be donated. I have just a bit of work to do 😉 If I get bored, I'll be making some of these delightful blocks 😊 I already have foundations cut, and heaven knows I absolutely have enough scraps, strings, and crumbs.
Hey Kym! How you holding up? Hope all is well. And gurl you better get busy with all those project piling up around you! But take your time to heal; as we always say its not a sprint but a marathon. Glad to hear from you! Praying that things keep moving forward and stay on the up and up!
I think the new video series you are proposing is a great idea. Thank you Eric for sharing your knowledge and all the time and effort you put into making this videos.😍
OMG Eric this video series is a great idea. I love the music you used in the clip, it makes it so heartfelt. You may have just come up with a series that never does away! AWESOME!
Hey Judy! Glad you are liking the series! The With Every Stitch series is taking a while to develop, but hopefully it will all be worth it. Since the style of the video is way different from what I have been doing, I had to learn different film making techniques....but as always I have been enjoying the journey. Thanks for watching!
Jordon's Fabrics sent me Donna's new free pattern yesterday. Donna made it from strings and crumbs; but it can be made from pre-cuts and yardage. If you have not already viewed it, you may want to check it out. I'm going to make my paper foundations today and start getting my scraps ready for chain piecing. This will be a great project to take along when I join a sew in (or sew outside now that it is Spring). I want to get my new kit/project ready. This should make many beautiful baby quilts.
Hi Arvetta! I did see that pattern. It is a pretty common scrappy quilt. I haven't made one myself, but it is on my bucket list of quilts to make. Thanks for sharing that!
Yes. I love and hate scrapes also. I started sewing clothes early in my life. Piecing quilt tops came much later. I am thinking of making shirts, blouses, hats, jackets, cushions tops, out of some of my scraps by foundation piecing on paper patterns. They would all be one of a kind. But, it may be a good idea to wash everything first. The wrong scrapes to use should show up in the wash. All your blocks are beautiful.
Hi Arvetta! I hear so many quilters say they started sewing clothes before they got into quilting. I am the complete opposite; I started with quilting and now looking to sew clothes. No matter what though, a scrap fabric is still a scrap fabric and we all could learn different ideas on using them up. Would love to see the clothes you make with your scraps. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome aboard Pam! This will be a crazy journey so stitch yourself down and enjoy the ride. I'll be busy getting that video done since there is an overwhelming interest on it. Thanks for sharing!
Love seeing how you changed up the block due to the color problem you detected. The new blocks came out great. Yes I would love to see why you started your quilt journey and maybe where you want to go with it. I love seeing what people do with their scraps.
I like how you are using the ender to make a block. I saw Lori Holt make use her enders to make tiny blocks for a secondary quilt that look like it took a lot of tedious time to make. This is how I want to use my time efficiently
Hey Barbara! ITs a great way to get more done in a shorter amount of time. Plus it saves thread along the way if you don't have a thread cutter which my machine does not. Thanks for watching!
just started crumb blocks era. Wow love your ideas. Will ask granddaughter to help me post a picture that will come up when I leave messages. computers are not my forte...🤣
Hi Linda! Its the era of crumb blocks. Just wanted to put it out on the TH-cam universe and get people to open their creativity and use crumb blocks and strings and their scraps to create different things. Can't wait to see what you create! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Polly! Isn't it amazing how much you get done just using the leader/ender methods. Its like multiple projects getting sewn at the same time. Thanks for sharing! And post a picture of your cathedral window blocks if you get a chance.
Yes! New series sounds very interesting. Please release it. Great blocks today. My fave is the crumb star. Vibrant. My strings n crumbs are coming along nicely. Getting quite a pile of them. Lol.
Hi Eric, I think that the idea of Your new series would be great! I know personally that there is a story of why I’ve made each of the quilts that I’ve done and are working on now! “With Every Stitch “ is a perfect name for the series and I’d love to hear the rest of your story! 😊❤😊
@@TreasureHeartCreations oh Eric, Thank You for asking but I am definitely too intimidated to be on camera but maybe I could write it down and maybe 🤔 You could read it to share on a video?
@@TreasureHeartCreations oh Eric, thank you for asking but I am too intimidated to be on camera. Maybe 🤔 I could write down a story and You could read it on video?? Just a thought for those of us who are too introverted for videos, lol 😂
No worries Marie; being on camera can be intimidating. If you want, you can send me an email about a quilt (treasureheartcreations@gmail.com) and I can read it or do something creative. But don't feel obligated to do this!
Yes, the rest of the story please continue.
Will do! I am hearing you and everyone else loud and clear so I got to get to work!
Eric, I would love to walk with you as you tell your quilt journey. Hooray!!!!
Okay Sandi I will get to work and finish this first video. Stay tuned!
i missed you.
I missed you too Sandi! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
That intro made me smile because I can relate so well. 😂
@Laurie Norton glad to know I am not the only one! Thanks for watching!

@Treasure Heart Creations I am healing, but darn it's a slow process. I have a list made at least of which projects are first....ish 😉
Yes please, I love stories connected to quilts!
Ok I shall get to work!

No worries Marie; being on camera can be intimidating. If you want, you can send me an email about a quilt (treasureheartcreations@gmail.com) and I can read it or do something creative. But don't feel obligated to do this!
