Thank you, I am refreshing my own math at age 51 to help my cousin's son via zoom sessions struggling with math, and although I was a wizz in high school I'd forgotten, after 45 minutes of searching videos, yours was what i needed to find ... thank you !!
Quick: add all the ratios, which is 15. Divide by total which is 135. You divide 135 by 15, which is 9. Then in the ratio , elephants are 7 , so multiply 9 × 7= 63
a recent census of visitors to a public beach show that there was a ratio of 6:16 surfers to swimmers which of the following is a possible actual number of surfers and swimmers at the beach. Can you help
I still need help- This is the problem our teacher gave us: Aaron made a bag of trail mix of peanuts, raisins, and chocolate chips in the ratio of peanuts:raisins:chocolate chips = 5:3:2. There are 150 raisins in the trail mix. How many peanuts and chocolate chips are in the trail mix?
That was given in the original question, there were 135 animals in total. Otherwise, we cannot get an equation set up! If you need more help, stop by one of my weekly live streams, I run them on Wednesdays at 8:30PM eastern time. I hope your school year is going well!
Think of the following list of ratios; 1:2, 2:4, 3:6, and notice that they are all equal. If I multiply the terms by x; 1x:2x, it allows me to express every ratio is equivalent to 1:2.. The benefit of this is that it allows us to solve for the particular set of numbers that match the conditions in the word problem.
Hope this helped for your test! It is helpful for some problems, but I cannot say that it covers every situation involving ratios. Math is too wide ranging!
An alternative way is to add 3,5,and 7. Then you get 15, and since the question is asking for elephants, you do 7/15 which is 7 fifteenths. Then you multiply 7/15 by 135, and you get 63. Hope this helps everyone!
You are the only one who made sense out of this , been surfing a simple explanation . Thanks again
Glad to hear it! This multiply by x technique applies to ratios across other subjects such as geometry.
Clear, concise and quick. Great video, thank you.

I am glad the video helped and wish your cousin's son the best of luck with his online learning!
Thank you very much, this was the only thing I struggled with but after watching this video I excelled at ratio, you actually deceive a award👌
Thank you! I have an exam later and I still don't get ratios (my weakness, I don't know why) and you helped me! thanks!
Same
Exam tomorrow

This technique is very helpful for certain problems. I am glad you learned something new! Thanks for watching.
blessed !!!! this was explained so simply thank you

This is the best video ever i love it
BROOOOO your'e a life saver!!!!
I try! Best wishes with the rest of your semester!
What if there were only 3:5 and only 135 animals totals ? (Cats and dogs?) could I use this same method you did ?
With those numbers, it would not work out assuming you cannot have partial animals. 3x + 5x = 135 would give a decimal value of x.
Thank you this helped me a lot for my test tommorw that I need to finish😀😀
i am glad the video helped and I hope the test goes well!
The best video hands down :)
Thank you sir your teachings are very excellent
Thank you! I try to make the videos as easy to follow as possible.

We study this in grade 5!
thank you very much! you are a very big help!
You're welcome!
thank you very much
you just saved my life
Great video as usual. One thing I find useful is to right the ratio of the dogs:cats:elephants as d:c:e directly above 3:5:7 for easy access.
Thanks so much you've really helped!!!
I am happy to help.. Thanks for watching!
This helped me so much! Thanks!
Nice video my question is just reverse of it , if three quantities are given to us than how we can write them in ratio
Write all three values and separate them with colons.. Divide each number by the greatest common factor between them so the ratio is reduced.
vinteachesmath thank you
Thanks a ton man, this really helped me out
I am glad the video helped! Good luck with your class.
Thank you! You really helped me a lot
Thank you so much!! This helped me out alot! I wish you were my math teacher LOL
I am glad the video helped! Check out my other videos in the playlist section of the channel.
Amazing. Really helpful.
thanks bro it helps a lot
What if my answer is 195:130:325, should I lowest term my answer or not ?
I still need help- This is the problem our teacher gave us: Aaron made a bag of trail mix of peanuts, raisins, and chocolate chips in the ratio of peanuts:raisins:chocolate chips = 5:3:2. There are 150 raisins in the trail mix. How many peanuts and chocolate chips are in the trail mix?
5x + 3x + 2x = 150, 10x=150, x=15, so there are 5(15)=75 peanuts, 3(15)=45 raisins, and 2(15) = 30 chocolate chips.
Must be one hella big pet store. Thanks for sharing!
How did you get 135
That was given in the original question, there were 135 animals in total. Otherwise, we cannot get an equation set up! If you need more help, stop by one of my weekly live streams, I run them on Wednesdays at 8:30PM eastern time. I hope your school year is going well!
who noticed how the last three digits for 27, 45, 63 were 3 5 7 backwards?
Thank you so much. It help me 😊
how did you get 9?
Divide 135 and 15
what does X represent?
It's just a variable for a placeholder
You can use any letter you like but x is commonly used
rock solid brother
Make sense bro💫❤
I am glad! Thanks for watching.
Your a lifesaver

Thanks. The thing is that I forget if I don't keep up with lessons and videos. Cheers.
"A" has a ratio of 9:3 WITH "B". If B is 270,000. What is the value of "A"?
If the ratio of A:B is 9:3, Then 3B = A, so A = 3(270,000) = 810,000
Get better lighting and keep going bro . You got what it takes to do this .
What is X and how did he get it ?
