    • Focus on implications for nursing practice
    • Identify future areas of focus to enhance nursing leadership in screening, treating and managing addiction and substance use

    Cheyenne Johnson, RN, MPH, CCRP
    Cheyenne is a clinical and research leader at the British Columbia Centre on Substance Use. She holds a degree in nursing from Queen’s University and a master’s in public health from Simon Fraser University and is a certified clinical research professional. Cheyenne is also the director of the British Columbia Centre on Substance Use Addiction Nursing Fellowship (Canada’s only addiction nursing fellowship program) and is an alumna of the program.

    Al Fowler
    President, BC Association for People on Methadone
    Al Fowler is originally from the Kootenay region of British Columbia and has spent most of his time in Vancouver. He has been a community activist and a member of the BC Association for People on Methadone (BCAPOM) for five years, and has been working towards improving the lives of people who use opioids. Al is currently the president of BCAPOM.
