Of course. The guy was clearly thrown-off by the sudden re-emergence of, not one, but two significant people who he knows are supposed to be dead, especially the one whom he personally just killed moments prior, who is now joining-in to help Cloud stop him. "No, not you." "Begone, you played your part." That's why the very visibly annoyed look on his face right at the end of the last battle was so delicious. Literally all he could do after that was front a proud "This isn't over yet" snicker and run away in a typical bested villain style.
@@TheAnimeMegaFreakI hope true final battle of FF7 part is a proper one-on-one duel between Cloud and Ssphiroth. The Og FF7 didn't have it. One hit and Seph was done.
At first I was like "Eh I prefer Remake version better" but after relistening to it a few times it started to grow on me (largely because they finally added 0:45 literally my favorite part in the OG song)

This sounds like absolute fucking hell for the string section. Like you should play one winged angel as a boss theme while trying to play one winged angel.
@@RCDeschene well they did mention at some point the endpoint is Advent Children. Maybe in the third game we’ll get even closer to that version of One Winged Angel.
Been thinking about this for awhile now rebirth version isn't as good compared to the remake one just my opinion it's still one winged angel but it was done better in the remake
how dissapointing, Yasunori Nishiki made a far better arrangement in remake. It's cool they added the unused part from the remake version at 0:45 but this is still a massive step down.
They made like this as a short music for One-Winged Angel (FF7 Rebirth) in final battle compared from Remake. Like "let's get this done as soon as possible"
Bucause this is not the "real" One Winged Angel. Just the same as Those Who Fight or J-E-N-O-V-A, we get fairly similar songs that are definitely related but are not the OG piece, until BAM, it goes 100% into the real thing (and, if you're a true FFVII fan, you'll find yourself humming like an idiot lol). Well, same thing here. This version, and Remake's final fight version, are not the "real" One Winged Angel, we're definitely getting that one for part 3, in the final battle against Safer Sephiroth, just like the original.
@@Facuzor I am only judging them as respective final boss themes of each part. I don't care whether it's close to the original or not. part 1 had the far superior final boss theme, this one is like a re-edit of that version but with a worse mix and structure imo.
@@Tristan-mv6lcIt fits though, remakes fight was outta nowhere but here Sephiroth is just pissed and so the theme is very aggressive and all over. While in remake it was out of order because the events in remake were tryna stay the same as the OG and when Sephiroth got a little serious the theme finally started saying his name. Even still neither are the true real Sephiroth, but they are still Sephiroth and in this one he is pissed. But tbh they probably didn’t go all out with Rebirth’s version because what if they can’t top it in part 3? So they dialed back because no need to go too hard on it, while like I said, in remake it is outta nowhere.
@@bravosix2960 ok but I'm just judging the music. Part 2 already failed to top part 1 so they already messed up imo. It could've been good but it's 3 minutes with a really odd structure, the intro doesn't hit hard, the production somehow sounds worse. I like the idea of going aggressive, they didn't execute well here.
“Begone, your part is played.”
I love Sephiroth so much 😭
His very apparent annoyance at realizing his oversight is what I love so much.
@RCDeschene Be gone aerith dick rider. 😂
I always like him so much because I always played him in Smash Bros Ultimate and got a Amiibo figure.
Love how the opening and ending of this OWA is more powerful than all of its other variants
After this and Remakes versions, we're just one game away of getting the full proper climatic version of One Winged Angel

"I must admit... I underestimated you."

I LOVE the part at 1:47. It gives such a unique sense of dread like the Jaws theme. Just this... lurking evil, biding its time, toying with you.

Totally hinting that their going to use a remake of the Advent Children version for Safer Sephiroth or a third phase.
Or maybe just flat out give us an after-fight where Sephiroth is normal again and it’s just Advent’s in the background as you’re getting wailed on.
Unpopular opinion but I freaking love this one. It screams that Sephiroth of DONE holding back and it’s a desperate final duel against him.
I mean that fights the direness of the very final battle , but sure.
he may seem like he's not holding back but i feel he is actually holding back but we will see in part 3

I don't understand why so much people loves a killer/murderer/traitor...in short: the evil himself. 😅
