    Your video is so informative, really appreciate your true review because was about to purchase the Invizx after so many reviewers reporting it is the best line without stretch... so thank you again!

      InvizX without stretch?? HA! It's like a bungy chord!

    Keep up the good work! Have a lot of your videos archived and use them as reference material. Saved me a lot of time and frustration. Like your new jig heads and they will pair nice with all the ones we hand made based on your earlier videos. Best wishes.

      you should see the size10 in 1.5 gram. That thing looks even more amazing and will tackle bass much more reliably. For some reason most pictures i get with the BG-1 are bass : )

    Love the video. I lived 4 years in Leuven(Louvain)-The Home of Stella- fifty years ago. Great beer, but many better in Belgium. Triple Trapiste is the best!

    I totally agree about the stretchy fluorocarbon lines, especially the Seaguar Invisix. I continue to hear the fishing "experts" touting fluorocarbon lines as no-stretch. All you have to do is to take a length of fluorocarbon line in your hands and pull on it. It stretches like a big rubber band.

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  ปีที่แล้ว

      EXACTLY! Does ANYBODY just PULL on these lines with their hands???

    Definitely like the Stella! And the FCsniper as a leader! But seaguar has not let me down for baitcaster’s!

    I've been using R18 as leader material for 2 years and its been great from 1.5lb to 8lb, from panfish to bass to steelhead. No complains, highly recommended. It's 1700 yen. Not bad. Invizex is excellent when you need the stretch - it's my go-to leader for steelhead and salmon river float fishing (6 to 12lb).

    I’ve always got some higher stretch fc for shock leader and on one of my land based high speed palagic outfits it’s got a full spool, but for inshore bait and river fishing outfits in clear shallow salt fishing over clean sand I use a line made locally that’s pre stretched and super low vis and very sensitive

  • @torment6369
    @torment6369 ปีที่แล้ว

    To me Invizx is mainly a cranking line, I've seen other people use it for other applications but that stretch will comeback to screw you at times. When I worked at cabelas, the bps kvd fluorocarbon was basically Invizx but with bass pro name. Incase no one knows, all BPS fluorocarbon is made by seaguar. Had good success with that line, only main difference I saw was it had a bit more memory than regular invizx. I was using it on baitcasters only, so no issues there. At 45% percent off I was not complaining.

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  ปีที่แล้ว

      i didn't know that... i thought BPS contracts mainly chinese and korean factories...

      @@ifishcatfish Most of their stuff yes. There are some outliers though. The fluorocarbon for example. XPX KVD is seaguar invizx and excel is seaguar red label. Another one is certain spinning reels are Daiwa made. The carbonlite is basically an exceler but with a bit of a shallower spool if I remember right. The signature series is a fuego knock off. The platinum is a sort of a step above the fuego but not at the procyon.

    R18 LTD is supposed to be the same formula as Tatsu, that is just what I have always been told. The diameters match identically, and they do feel the same to me (have owned US Tatsu and JDM R18 LTD). I have used the 8lb for a Millionaire CTSV on a ML rod, and used the 12lb for an Alphas SVTW on a softer MH rod. Both have been great.

    • @gman69455
      @gman69455 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe in a hookup tackle video he states the difference is an extra coating for a smoother feel on one vs the other. I don’t remember which one gets it but I believe there is a faint color difference between r18 and tatsu.

    Thanks for the review Victor. I agree, Stella is the best! That is my go to beer. I know this is not fluoro, but have you tried or heard of Kendo-Shine 8x braid? Just spooled it up on finesse reel. So haven't tried it yet but looks good so far.

    Clean your rod guides and then put a Teflon impregnated lubricant on a rag and wipe your line guides with that and that will help overall for everything for smoothness and casting and retrieving and the noise from friction.
    And I mean I spray lubricant like a WD-40 and some others that say it has Teflon in it. 👊

    • @ifishcatfish
      @ifishcatfish  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do clean the guides of my rods. Not with WD-40, of course, that would be stupid. WD-40 is full of solvents that are dangerous to the blank, the guides, and the water in which they will eventually go. Use only water-based silicone lubricants. However, if you see the video i made about this line.. it happened on my Presso Air AGS rods, which have nonsticky guides anyway. I clean them with q-tip anyway but i have never seen deposits on them.

    • @TDizzle5408
      @TDizzle5408 ปีที่แล้ว

      WD-40 as a whole is a poor lubricant.

    • @mikehurtle
      @mikehurtle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TDizzle5408 I used WD-40 as a comparison as a spray lubricant and I said others that say they have Teflon in them, it’s the Teflon that adheres to your guides that makes them slick not the oil because that evaporates.
      It was just a experienced suggestion, because it works great for me especially during colder months when your Fishing lines are stiffer and it also prevents ice.
      Wow and that’s exactly what WD-40 was designed to do, it was designed to be sprayed on the space shuttle and not allowing ice to stick to the fuselage, it would just fall away, oh and it allowed for less friction or drag against the fuselage allowing for More speed and better performance. 💥

      @@mikehurtle Many times we find uses for various products that is not what they were originally intended to be used for. As a rancher we are always finding other purposes for items and many farmers and ranchers always have copious amounts of Wd-40 Around. I could see how it might act as a barrier of sorts for how you use it but it is a POOR lubricant and this has been verified in testing over and over. It was originally designed as a water displacement fluid hence the WD...My statement around it being a poor lubricant when compared with actual lubricants is fact but the lack of lubricity may not relate to how it benefits your use.

    • @mikehurtle
      @mikehurtle ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ifishcatfish I’ve always just used Windex sprayed into a rag then I wipe down the guides then I take the Teflon spray and spray a good amount it into the rag and then I wipe the inside of my guides thoroughly and then they’re good for a couple trips.
      And in the winter time when I’m steelhead fishing and walleye fishing I will do it daily so I don’t have an icing problem and it works great.
      There are several spray lubricant you can buy in a hardware department that say they have Teflon inside of them, I even use this stuff on my arrow shafts for my crossbow it makes for deeper penetration but it also makes it much easier to pull the bolts out of the target.
      So if you’re an Archer use it on your Arrow shafts you will even be amazed on how quiet your arrow is when you draw it on your rest. 👊
