Would love to see you guys do a 2 part round of 18 where Wedgeley goes through his shot process, course management, etc ..... take us through what a pga tour pro's metal game is behind the actual golf game.
Best wedge player I’ve seen up close. I was inside the ropes with a buddy of mine at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow on the short game area and we stopped practicing just to watch. It was humbling.
I got confirmation of my wedge play. I’ve always had good feel for distance with wedges without resorting to a system like the clock system. Wonderful, useful video, as always.
Wouldn't call it "resorting" to a system. I've always been above average with wedges. I didn't need to resort with anything the clock system just translated to a couple feet closer proximity to the hole.
Wow Wesley and George. I tried this on the range first of course, and I can swing my wedges more consistent at a target and it feels great. I've always had my feet shoulder length with an open stance and by moving them in it has made a big difference. Thank you. I played my first 18 using this technique and I broke 80!!! You guys rock!!!!
Thanks guys. These videos really show us wannabes how to make golf fun. it is extremely frustrating to have to wait for the PGA to resume because I feel like I have a friend on tour to follow. Thank you again for the steady flow of content and access to how a pro looks at the game.
I admit Wesley increased in my own perspective by saying the most accurate thing in the video on that it is a feel thing. You can't teach how to feel and there in my opinion is to much of the must have hands here or there and hips here blah blah blah. Recently I've concentrated on biomechanics and not traditional crap i used to think about and I've been playing a lot better with much less stress. Well done Wesley and good luck when the tour starts again. I'll be rooting for you. Great vid George
Morning Guys, I dont understand why you guys dont have more subscribers. IMO this channel has a 24/7 pro giving free advice for no charge. Daily advise on course mindset. These two brothers has changed my golf game for the better. oh and follow Wesley on tour this man can play.
I started golfing this year and I had a naturally good wedge game. It was all feel. Typically swing with an almost full back swing and just felt the distance out and put it close or at least on the green. Now I’m really going thru it after some coaching and trying to get more calculated with a wedge. Lost all my feel trying to get cute and change things up now so many strokes are added to a round by duffing or blading a 50 yard wedge shot
its really good to see that you can hit world class distance wedges without some kind of gimmick. just a natural move, hitting it solid and getting tuned into your feels
Got the pleasure of meeting Wes at the Travelers in 2018, walked with his amazingly lovely wife and dad. One of the nicest, most down to earth groups of people I got to hang around with for a few days. Love the content y'all are putting out. Excited to see what Wes can do this week in Hartford!
Wes is the most naturally gifted player I think I’ve ever seen. Absolute wizard with a golf club. Having George on the bag (one of the best putters I’ve seen) I hope you guys win more now Wes is back on tour. God id love to play with you guys, if your ever in the uk and fancy it let me know 😂
Hey Wedgely and GB4 , absolutely LOVE the videos and whole Wedge may be a tour pro , George is my favorite golfer of the two. I watched this video 3 times and after the wedge game was struggling I went to the course to practice nothing but this technique and sooooon SON ! Two sessions in and I can tell my ball striking has gotten better with the wedges , my consistency is top notch and the wedge game is as solid as it’s ever been. Thanks guys for this awesome video
Thanks for the Wedgley, Wedgication... Its very easy to see the years of practice in his technique. What I found most useful for me was his strategy in-between yardages! Great content Bryan Bros, don't you dare stop!
George you look like a kid here! I'm not saying this in a bad way but I found your channel a few months ago and this is the first older video I've watched. It threw me off for a second lol.
Wesley’s short game is ridiculous. I knew when I saw his video with Rodger Cleveland, where Rodger was calling out the front, middle or back flag during Wesley’s downswing that he was Boss Level. I recommend everyone to go watch that video. Crazy how good he was getting near each flag. This is when Tour players want guys thrown out for a photo snap and here is someone calling out different distances during the downswing. 🔥🔥🔥
Hey guys, I've been enjoying watching your golfing videos during lock down in New Zealand. But can't stop thinking that you guys are fortunate to be able to still go to the golf course let alone a driving range and have a hit! Especially in this current client! I am just a little envious. I can't wait to get back out there myself! Anyway, am enjoying watching you guys on TH-cam, it's been keeping me going. Keep it up! Cheers
2022.. I’m building a backyard chip/pitching green. This is my biggest weakness and I think the only way I’ll get it down is to just do it every day. Great video!
Yoooo You guys are the best. In one day of your wedge technique .. Approach shots 4 inside 10’ from out to 110 yards.. Sooo money tips! I suck but today I looked Iike a boss…
Would like to hear about what you feel your lower body is doing and also footwork. Also, a straight dtl angle would help see some of the positions that I'm curious about. Thanks, I appreciate the content guys.
Wesleys lower body is always moving and I think it’s just programmed in there..for me I try to focus on my body rotating regardless of how short I take it back.
I played on the mini tour and worked at several golf courses with my brother. He caddied for me at several tournaments. We had a blast. It’s awesome to see you guys working on videos together!
This did help a lot.. def with the mindset of his wedge game.. lots of pointers... his swing is sooo smooth and effortless.. from driver to wedge.. lol .. I am 6foot 5.. any pointers on extending my wedges? Good? Bad? 60 degree 52, and 56
Great video as always. Wesley you are a master with the wedges. I'm also a feel player when it comes to wedge play and can identify with the feelings you're talking about when it comes to adjusting for distance. Can't wait to see you back out on tour throwing darts at those pins. I have also logged quite a few hours at that driving range in Cayce. Great camera work from behind the pin George
Laziness is the perfect description 👌 I swing the same way i never heard the clock method, our body just knows how much power and swings accordingly lol. I have a tendency to pull it im curious your practice routine to keep consistent straight
I tuned in just for grins but I actually learned something here. I'm a long time flip-fat flunkie with a wej. When you said you are 60/40 weight distribution and stay stacked over the ball that was like a light bulb moment for me. Thanks Wedgley and Jorge! By the way, how many aces do you guys have? I know an amateur younger than both of you who has 6 now lol.
On the nippers, it's almost like the hosel instead of the clubface is directly behind the ball at address. Crazy how open the club face is for that trajectory. Almost like a ball first bunker shot setup
Whoa, in my home state and 30 minutes from my hometown in Sumter! We have possibly crossed paths before so that's pretty cool! Great content. Keep it coming guys! Cheers
Does Wesley play the 58 for everything inside 100 or around the green does he use different wedges if he wants the ball to release and roll versus throwing darts at the pin?
Yeeeesh, he opens up that face so much on short pitches it looks like he's lining it up straight on the hosel! I'd be shanking it into the next county if I tried that. Amazing wedge player!
I've been striking the ball really great coming out of my off season (4.5 months of winter than closed for covid till may) wedges have been my least consistent part of the game so far..focusing on dialing those in this week
That's an awesome stat to hang on the shelf. Owning the wedge game is how you score on these insane golf courses. Much respect! George, you aren't exactly a slouch yourself. I was expecting a battle match.
This was very freeing for me to hear. I’ve always felt more comfortable making almost a full swing but feeling like I hit it easier for shorter shots verses everyone else saying you have to make a shorter swing like the clock system
Looks like Wesley takes some turf even on very short wedge shots. He didn’t talk about bounce. Is he letting the leading edge make impact or is it just the bounce bruising the turf? Man, I love how relaxed his motion is!
Just recently started watching the channel and love it,you and your brother remind me of me and my brother and I’m always talking crap to him but still hope he does well at the same time,I have a friend Kevin Burton and believe his son Nathan got a chance to play with you!!! Keep up the good work.
Is it your normal golf swing? I mean, in England we are taught to flight it down and release the clubhead to square and then take it through, hold it off with the body turn post impact.
On the 87 yard shot with wind in his face, is Wes putting his right foot forward to play a tight draw? or does his neutral ball flight come from that stance as it is? Thanks guys great content
Thanks for the videos and golf tips! For wedges why are feet so close together? Did Wesley switch to cross hand putter grip recently? I have tried this too and it seems better! Liked the tip to start putting motion from shoulders- simple and effective. Good luck on the tour!
Can you guys do an around the green chip shots and the thoughts and techniques behind it. Been watching your channel and every single video lately and you both have an amazing short game. So I would like to know the process and thoughts behind it. Thanks keep the good job on the videos.
Hi George - just curious if Wesley uses they same technique ie ball position on back foot for all his wedges PW, GW, SW & LW? BTW I really enjoy all you videos keep it up!
Thanks a lot for the video, this is so much interesting 🤩 It is so impressive to see the accuracy and the confidence he has on his wedge game and that's for sure one of the reason he scores low... I think this type of video where you give advices is very helpful for everyone who wants to improve is game, I am waiting for the next one 😂...
Does Wesley change bounces with lob wedge depending on conditions (say firm or wet/summer vs fall)? I noticed his 58 looked like 8 degree bounce, curious if he may go to 10 with wet turf? Thanks!
Awesome video, do you ever mess with ball position and width of stance? It looks like you stick with narrow and back of stance. When do you switch to regular swing stance?
I need to work on this part of my game, get like 10k shots in to build the feels. Too bad my local courses don’t have immaculate training grounds like in the video
Practicing from fluffy lies, whether a fluffy matt or fluffy grass, is a great way to teach yourself how to choke when you get a really tight lie on the course. I literally practice off bare lies. I hit a few fat shots to remove grass and expose the dirt , then practice off the dirt. Then when I get on the course, no lie scares me. Most people practice just the opposite way. They hit nothing but fluffy lie shots, then choke when they get a thin lie on the course. I believe it was Sam Snead who said that when played a practice round , he would always aim for trouble so that he could test his skills from bad lies and bad situations. That's the way to get better. Practicing easy shots is not a way to get better. having said all of that, it doesn't matter how you practice, if you don't have the basic understanding of how the golf swing works. Study the "flying wedges" to perfect your swing. Without the flying wedges in tact at impact, no amount of practice or variations of practice will amount to a hill of beans.
Has Wesley ever played golf with the Biebs? If so, my daughter will be super jealous. She's pissed cuz she was supposed to see him in July here in Tampa, and now it's postponed indefinitely.
What was the most helpful part for y’all?
When your brother grounds his club the balls tucked into the hozzle. Does that help with hitting the middle
I think for him it does.
The best bit was nice shot, said no one ever 😆
Watching a pro’s tempo and his stance. Very helpful. Thought process about what wedges he chooses to carry in the bag.
Ball position, tempo and stance....thank you for all the tips!!
Wesley is a strange combo of over-the-top, never wavering confidence/cockiness and self depricating humbleness...and I like it
Love it
Could not of said it better my self
Hahahaha
To me he’s like Tin cup 😂
Would love to see you guys do a 2 part round of 18 where Wedgeley goes through his shot process, course management, etc ..... take us through what a pga tour pro's metal game is behind the actual golf game.
Timothy O'Brien I second this!
I third this. Has it happened yet by chance?
@@bransonS Yes when he caddied for George's mini tour win while he was hurt.
Best wedge player I’ve seen up close. I was inside the ropes with a buddy of mine at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow on the short game area and we stopped practicing just to watch. It was humbling.
Yea he’s pretty ridiculous. I’m kinda numb to it now but it’s really really good all the time
I’m naming my son Wedgeley now
Thanks George and Wedgley!!! Clubbing up into the wind with wedges is a great tip! It took me a long time to mature on this one.
Sure is!!
I got confirmation of my wedge play. I’ve always had good feel for distance with wedges without resorting to a system like the clock system. Wonderful, useful video, as always.

I can accredit most if all my success with wedges from Mr. Wedgley Bryan… if Rahmbo talks so highly about Wesley’s wedge game you know it’s top tier.

You guys are addictive to watch! Great stuff and insight into a highly rated Tour player. Awesome content!
I’m in the Spartanburg area! Just moved here. Started playing Woodfin Ridge in Inman… nice track!
After watching this video I went out to the range and set up just as Wesley does and my wedges are more accurate than ever!
Pretty solid. I can see why he won on tour with an on point wedge game such as that... 🤙🏌️♂️

Are you planning to play in the TPC Colorado Championship this year? You will absolutely love the course! Cheers from, Denver.
Awesome video. Would love more on this series from all aspects of wesleys game
Your descriptions are on point haha loosey goosey is perfect for the flop shots. It's almost all wrist I feel like
On the nippers, it's almost like the hosel instead of the clubface is directly behind the ball at address. Crazy how open the club face is for that trajectory. Almost like a ball first bunker shot setup
Wesley: Great action w/ the wedges. Really good move at it. On your full wedge shots, your stance looks narrow. Is that consistent with all clubs?
What about setup? Is your weight on your left side? Ball position? Feet same distance apart for all distances or is it varied? Etc etc
Whoa, in my home state and 30 minutes from my hometown in Sumter! We have possibly crossed paths before so that's pretty cool! Great content. Keep it coming guys!

Literally just started to watch y’all and just stared to play at that course... what a coincidence. Wish I went out today to see y’all
I appreciate the “wedgucation, Wesley! Thanks for posting this one!

Wedgely's (Wesley's) Wedges are awesome! For a feel player it is interesting how well dialed in he is.
I'm a wedgeley too! Strongest part of my game. The Bryan brother videos are great 👍
This was very freeing for me to hear. I’ve always felt more comfortable making almost a full swing but feeling like I hit it easier for shorter shots verses everyone else saying you have to make a shorter swing like the clock system
I agree. I am honestly in the same boat as you. I tend to think I have to take it back shorter to hit it shorter...honestly just end up smoking it lol
Wow your feet are close together....... At what point do you widen them?? Thanks great channel!
Looks like Wesley takes some turf even on very short wedge shots. He didn’t talk about bounce. Is he letting the leading edge make impact or is it just the bounce bruising the turf? Man, I love how relaxed his motion is!
The consistency is crazy. just pro level stuff. Great video from some great dads

Is it your normal golf swing? I mean, in England we are taught to flight it down and release the clubhead to square and then take it through, hold it off with the body turn post impact.
Is there any thought to how narrow your stance is on your wedges? Do you do that for a reason, or is it all feel at that point? Great content guys!
Best info for me was stacking up over the ball. Thanks Mr Wedgley!
What is the plan for returning to the PGA Tour Wedgley?! Looking forward to following you again when you are back!
Incredibly awesome. More 30 minute videos of just hitting wedges with Wedgely Bryan
I’d love to hear how y’all deal with super wet conditions. Like, early spring, soggy and tight fairway lies from inside 100 yards.
Your ballstriking just needs to be extra on point and pure. Wet conditions are cooooookies. I learned the game on surface like that.
I started copying Wesley's wedge swing and this swing works. WOW.
This was back in the day when wesley was young and humble. Lolol you guys rock. :)
Can’t wait for lockdown to end and back playing golf and get my wedges dialled in 🙌 what injury did Wes have?
Labrum tear. :(
Great video. Do you guys "Pured" your equipments? What do you think about SST Pure? Thank you.
On the 87 yard shot with wind in his face, is Wes putting his right foot forward to play a tight draw? or does his neutral ball flight come from that stance as it is? Thanks guys great content
Question: When do you not take a full swing and change speeds? Like on a 30 yard shot is he still taking a full swing
Too many variables that go along with every shot to sum it all up, really
It’s all feel for him. He doesn’t think about but on 30 yards he’s defintely taking it like halfway back
Thanks for the videos and golf tips! For wedges why are feet so close together? Did Wesley switch to cross hand putter grip recently? I have tried this too and it seems better! Liked the tip to start putting motion from shoulders- simple and effective. Good luck on the tour!
Awesome video, amazing touch on the wedges if I were half that good o would be dangerous
Showing some solidarity to Jerg with the long socks! Your a good brother sir!
Can you guys do an around the green chip shots and the thoughts and techniques behind it. Been watching your channel and every single video lately and you both have an amazing short game. So I would like to know the process and thoughts behind it. Thanks keep the good job on the videos.
by far best wedge video on youtube
Hi George - just curious if Wesley uses they same technique ie ball position on back foot for all his wedges PW, GW, SW & LW? BTW I really enjoy all you videos keep it up!
Great video as always, keep it up! I was wondering what you guys club speed is with the driver? and how far you carry it?
Like to see more instructional videos on wedges! Wesley said he likes neutral spin but all the shots he hit looked like they had cut spin?
9:44 Dave Pelz also said this in Short Game Bible. When you have a wedge in your hand, go at the pin.
Great video guys!🔥🔥Love it
Thanks a lot for the video, this is so much interesting 🤩 It is so impressive to see the accuracy and the confidence he has on his wedge game and that's for sure one of the reason he scores low... I think this type of video where you give advices is very helpful for everyone who wants to improve is game, I am waiting for the next one 😂...
I'm more from the school of quarter, half and three quarter wedges but I will give this a try.
Wesley "I'm My Own Hype Man" Bryan.
Why do you keep your front foot parallel? How do you think that helps you?
Does Wesley change bounces with lob wedge depending on conditions (say firm or wet/summer vs fall)? I noticed his 58 looked like 8 degree bounce, curious if he may go to 10 with wet turf? Thanks!
Would you recommend a narrow stance like Wesley or would you recommend a normal iron stance?
Awesome video, do you ever mess with ball position and width of stance? It looks like you stick with narrow and back of stance. When do you switch to regular swing stance?
Honestly he doesn’t much. When he is chipping and wants to hit it super high he will widen stance...with wedges they stay pretty narrow for most part.
Appreciate the knowledge my man! Powerful stuff, most people do not have go to yardages what so ever
New grooves? As in get a new club or slang for always clean before a shot?
I need to work on this part of my game, get like 10k shots in to build the feels. Too bad my local courses don’t have immaculate training grounds like in the video
Bro, wedge magician 🎩 love the channel 👍🏼
That is some really impressive stuff. Can’t wait to see you win the Valero next year sir.
Great content! How do you feel practicing wedge shots on mats translates to hitting on real grass? I find that difficult.
