Oh Mr Diggle this was up to your usual top drawer standard. But in addition I also like your relaxed style of talking to camera. You really do connect with your audience and I appreciate that too. Thank you
Great work again Luke, another excellent video! I really like the imagination GBRF are using for the 69 liveries, and the details they get right like the style of nameplate on the 'Western'! Looking forward to the Eastleigh tour!
Thanks for another great selection Luke and a selection of weather too. It's great to see the scenery with everything in leaf, what a cracking location, you're really blessed to live there.
Forgot how wet it was until editing the video together, fingers crossed for a better June! Suppose we have to put up with the rain to get the greenery. Cheers John.
Great video Luke some awesome footage there matey loved it , shame nobody can find work for those 68 that are being returned great engines i know the can be noisy , but to all those people in Scarborough if you dont like noisy trains dont buy a house next to railway lines _______ end of thanks for sharing Luke excellent video take care a t b Syd👍
Thanks a lot Syd, it’s a massive shame, hopefully they come in useful for someone and don’t end up oversees. A GBRF 68 in one of their special liveries would be pretty cool I reckon.
Another great episode Luke. I’m really looking forward to next week’s. You said a week or two ago that you will coming to Stafford sometime soon. Maybe you could let me know when you are there and I could come and say hello as long I can make it? Cheers and Regards Colin👍
Hey Luke another great diary and looking forward to the long awaited edition next week! Love the GBRF range of liveries for the 69s how about a compilation of them all; you must have the full set through Diggle by now?
Brilliant that Luke, love diggle diaries. Great work again from you, good to see 69009 through. Great crane move as well. Very nice indeed! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! All the best, Jamie
Another nice one Luke. You've braved the elements for us again but cheer up, summer is nearly here and the rain may be a little warmer. Thanks for doing it mate.
Fond memories of Piccadilly platform 1 when I used to miss the last train back to Glossop after being too slow finishing my pint in the NQ. Worse was when I would lose the taxi receipt so couldn't claim it on expenses😂 #goodolddays
Good slow crawl by from 69004 mate. I know they have been around for a while, but I still think the 68's are an odd-looking beast. Another nice job Luke.👍👍👍👍
Agree with you there mate, especially the earlier ones without the plugs on the front. Think it’s the vertical lights. Thanks for the support as always 👋🏻
Top notch as usual, would have stood in the rain for 37405 too, nice wheelslip from it. You’ll need to get some loppers on those bushes down at the loop at Diggle, can’t see the signalbox now from there! 😅
@@DiggleJunction actually I’ll need to change my reply because I remember I HAVE stood in the rain at Ardlui watching 37405 lift a train of Autoballasters out the station with 37610 on the rear! 🤣
mavelous Luke as always great content i remember going to guide bridge in the 80s and seeing the class 76s stabled in the sidings .caught the steamer on your web cam as i missed it in real time also missed the class40 but will catch that on your next Diggle Diaries how good did the 37 sound and nice to see the 68s back where they belong .how many classes of loco can i mention lol
Thanks as always mate, so much to mention in this one and the next Diaries has got even more highlights, can’t wait for you to see it. It’s a shame the Woodhead route didn’t last, would be very useful to have today over to Sheff!
Looking forward to the episode with the Class 40 tour, I think it may well be D213 Andania which was the loco my Grandfather drove on his last day for LMS in the late 60"s, we have a photo taken of him leaning out of the cab on his last day and recently LSL were kind enough to let us recreate the shot at Crewe when Andania returned from her last Whistling Highlander tour.
It certainly was Andania mate, gorgeous loco. What a lucky man your Grandad was to pilot such a beast in its heyday. You’ll have to send over that pic for me to see! Email address is in the description of the video, would love to see that mate 👍🏻
@@DiggleJunction Great intro again mate, I think I'm getting addicted to your videos and I often have the 'live' on in the background when I'm at my PC
They were originally a few random colours like green and red, even orange and a weird off white colour until BR blue came in and they were all painted.
Personally I dislike the idea of painting a class 69 in mock maroon and using the name and identity of a sadly long lost loco . The paint scheme is ok BUT not using the fake identity 👎

Cheers Keith, yeah totally agree there it’s great to see and 009 was a pleasant surprise to be honest, it’s very nice in person in my opinion.
Excellent video. You can't beat the sound of a class 37 on full power. Thank you.
100% agree with you there mate.
Another excellent video. Am I the only person who thinks those ex TPE 68s would look good with a nice BR double arrow logo on each side?
Thanks mate, now you mention it, 100%!

The only Class of loco I'll get drenched for now Luke the old Tractors 👍
Damn straight. Although find myself getting drenched on the regular for anything these days haha.
Thank you friend, enjoyed your video,Kind regards 🚂🚂🚂
Thanks very much mate, glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Enjoyed that especially 69009 in maroon livery, and wow that fabulous countryside...
Lovely now we’ve got some greenery back after the long winter 👍🏻

Thanks a lot Jamie, really appreciate it. 69009 was much nicer in person than I expected! New fave 69 I think.

Haha we always have to have that “one last pint” mate 😂
Great end to the month Luke.!!
Love the lights camera action at the start and your casual walk on .!! Top bloke .!👏👏
Had to make sure I got that take right or would have had to wait for the next train haha. Cheers mate, appreciate the support as always 👍🏻

Another great video Luke. Loved the 37, they sound amazing.

Ace vid as usual mate, gonna be some very good content being made over the last few weeks and even more so for next week 👀
Thanks a lot mate, June part 1 is already looking like a top tier episode!
@@DiggleJunction I Bet so, tempting to go NYMR on Friday for the gala
Yeah, let's get on with it 😉😂😂

Thank you again for a great video. Only being a novice to some of the abbreviations; why do the use the word “decoy” in the route information.
Cheers pal, Decoy is the name of the yard over in Donny. I believe it’s a reference to what that area was used for during the Second World War.
Oof on 009. Sad about the ex tpe 68s
Me too mate, miss seeing them roaring up and down every day with the mk5’s.
Are westerns not typically a Br blue colour? Why's that 69 red
They were originally a few random colours like green and red, even orange and a weird off white colour until BR blue came in and they were all painted.
It's so sad to see the skeleton remains of guide bridge compared to the 70's 😒😒
I’ve seen old maps of it and it is a shell. Seems to be on an upward trajectory though and growing more and more with Freightliners wagon shops.
Personally I dislike the idea of painting a class 69 in mock maroon and using the name and identity of a sadly long lost loco . The paint scheme is ok BUT not using the fake identity 👎
Totally understandable mate, don’t think it’ll be everyone’s cuppa tea. I will say the colour does look lovely in person.
