I mean, the point of the video is to fear monger. It's literally in the title, but if anyone wants to know about the solar shade plan, just read below.
A solar shade made of glass is transparent to most light aside from infrared (the mostly useless "heat" side of the spectrum). Of course, all heat absorbed is eventually radiated back out as heat, but this is at a random direction from the object. So, with a glass screen, located at the Lagrange Point 1 (a semi-stable orbit that maintains the relative position between the sun and the earth - it's math, don't worry), would release less than 1% of the absorbed heat towards the Earth.
Of course, glass is relatively heavy, so most recommend the use of aluminum foil (since we seem to have no real compulsion to expand to space). But "Oh no. Won't that completely block all the light?" No, it won't. What is needed to achieve net neutral temperatures, by current climate models (however much you may trust them), is less than a percent of the solar irradiance. Even if you could look directly at the successfully deployed film without having your eyeballs seared out by the sun, you wouldn't be able to tell.

VR would be a best-thing too, people who suffered incapacitating injuries, could have their brains removed, safely placed in life support pods, and the brain connected to the Matrix, their brains would allow them to interact fully in a virtual world and have fulfilling lives, these same individuals could develop new treatments, tested in VR to implement in real world.

I could see this. The parts of our brain we don't use could be connected to something we don't yet comprehend. Forget the full story, but here are the basics. The patient had partial brain damage. They did something to where other unused sections took over for the damaged sections. Their cognitively came back. Was able to relearn stuff. Then the weird part started. A second personality formed at times

    • @mariawhite7337
      @mariawhite7337 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Ah, I've done this too. For a Digimon thingie. Basically the way I did it was do the sleeping sickness and how a machine was created to put all those people struck with it into a virtual machine. But what was a concenquence of that was that those people COULD NOT SLEEP. So all those that could connect that weren't afflicted could sleep. Even those that were in injury comas or medical comas. All of them could fall asleep in the machine. But the ones it was made for weren't. They were called the sleepers which is as insulting as it could be. And as concenquence too, the more the machine "used" them the more damage was to their brain. So they are all dead right. Well one of these people in an effort to be useful basically created Digimon to put the personalities of the deaf which are "stored" in the machine in a effort to save them. So thus the digital world and Digimon were created. Yes I am insane.

So you go to the store , try to steal , if it doesn't work there was a way to run out of the town without getting attacked by the guards. Then re enter the town and try again. Sooner or later you'd get a laser sword and could 1 shot the guards. The rest of the game was easy after that.

Roddenberry understood the hurtles intelligent species create for themselves both natural and unnatural. Each level can bring us forward or reduce us backwards or to extinction. We have reached that point either save money and leave our planet similar to what Venus is now or clean up our act and move on from the carbon energy cycle we are trapped in by the Capitalists that put us here.

I bet exothermic energy and heat trapped by concrete, asphalt, blacktop, and every building having AC (I'll never ask to take away AC) have way more to do with climate than the chemicals released from combustion.

Yeah, yeah, we get it. Oil is evil. Much better to make everyone drive EVs. Well, not everyone. Lots of people can't afford an EV, especially since you can't save money by getting a used one (the used ones' batteries no longer work, you'll need a new one. Which is so expensive that you'll end up spending almost as much as if you bought a new car). So a lot of people will lose their freedom of movement.
And it's not like EVs are 100% clean. A lot of the stuff that's required does horrible stuff to the environment. And is being mined by kids who are bought and forced to play the irl version of minecraft. Those kids kost about 5 bucks. Cheaper than a doctor, which is why they're being replaced when injured. Just leave them down there.
And those materials will be depleted even faster than oil, especially if the demand skyrockets.
But back to those rich enough that they can affor those EVs. Even today, with EVs being a small percentage of all cars, the power grid is alresdy struggling, and localized governmental bodies in a bunch of places have imposed restrictions on when or how to charge your car.
And finally, even with all that, if we all magically got EVs today, we still couldn't get rid of oil, since the stuff has other uses.
    Wanna really solve this?
    - Tell governments and corporations to stop abusing it all for control and greed. Pretty much every single "green initiative" that is being done doesn't do anything for the environment, it only makes politicians and their corpo friends richer while making the life of the non-rich way worse.
    - Stop attacking nuclear at the same time. The geniuses in the German government forced many nuclear plants to shut down - and had to start coal plants up again. Fun fact: not only is coal the worst of the fossil fuels, it also disperses more radioactive stuff than nuke plants.
    - Prepare the power grids for EVs
    - Immediately and completely ban cruise ships. They're an absolute nightmare, each of these ships does as much damage as millions of cars, and unlike cars they're completely unnecessary.

@@randallbesch2424 This whole planet is a soup of them. We are just an organized mobile city state of them that clawed it's way to the surface and has a control module run amok in pursuit of nonessential tasks. Simply because it became so good at resource acquisition that it could procure more resources than it could protect before they would deteriorate therefore it only got enough to survive until the seasons cycled through and then it would do it again. Rendering the majority of it's time free to do other things. Like watch TH-cam.
