Ooff, all I can think of is the horrific cracking sound of bones breaking. I dunno how this could even be possible for people to carry this out day after day.

It's not a fact if you can't find the names, I once saw a tall man hit a shorter man with a large dead cat or possibly rabbit, I couldn't tell as I only saw it for a second as I went past in a train, and it was late afternoon so the light wasn't very good for distinguishing cat from rabbit especially if the cat is rabbit coloured.
I'll never forget the date, 4th July 1993..

It wasn't July anyway it was August, 14th 1994, I'll never forget that.. I was wearing a big blue hat, or possibly green.
@@jack2957 definitely blue, I remember because my friend and lover had only that morning burnt my green hat while trying to heat the water for the bath (I always bathe before I travel into that London) and if you know anything about 1994 and the Bedfordshire coal shortage I don't need to explain how she burnt my hat.
Later that day I was feeling ill due to the smell, I have never been able to eat calamari since that day, as a family we look back at that time and we don't laugh, not even a smile, even when filled with alcohol. In fact especially when filled with alcohol.
I've worked out how to operate my phone now in a way that doesn't look serpiginous, but that doesn't mean I can disconcerting the auto carrot, that can insert words I never ment to write.
I hope you understand the pain I've endured in the completion of this story, it's not been easy to revisit this part of my life, believe me, cold hearted people remembering the 90s and rabbit coloured cats.. or possibly just a rabbit will go down in the history books as one for the team.
Remember, if the lambs are calling for sacrificial disappointment you have to give them everything, even if that means not having something you can enjoy as a family years later, it's facts of life, rule #27, never disappoint yourself.

The blood Eagle was so called, because once the actual ritual was performed, the victim would live for hours, and with every breath he took, his lungs would inflate and deflate, looking like a pair of wings flapping. A hilarious day out for the whole family.

Truly I understand, but I also think parents idea of "proper" punishments came by way of their parents. My step-father was raised by a real bi--h of a woman, consequently I was tortured horribly...he was a military officer and I was treated/punished like I was a "trooper," right down to having blood welts on my legs from being beaten with a belt...imagine THAT on a 7-8 year old little girl. Needless to say when he died I didn't shed any semblance of a sorrow filled tear...nor did my sons since we had to live with my parents after my divorce and they found out how horrible my life had been. I SWORE I would NEVER, EVER treat/punish my sons how I was treated/punished...and I NEVER DID!
I did my first ever college level research paper on this subject. Probably one of my favorite papers to write because while yes it was very graphic and horrible, it was also incredibly interesting and insightful. I ended up getting a 100% on that and it’s something the professor still uses as an example of topics students can write about.

Actually in Mythbusters, she did experience severe anxiety and fear after an hour. The medical team decided for her own safety to stop the experiment. It was later discussed that doing this kind of experiment could have caused worse trauma and in a sense were scolded for attempting to do this even while in the safety and trust of her peers.

@@EmperorNerox For the record, the reason I left the comment I did was because I spent over 6 years as air force military police, during which time I fired many live rounds, and did many training exercises with blanks of multiple calibers.
Trust me, there's a difference...even in uniform, body armor, and all the other gear.

Fun fact, the act of coffin torture was actually known as gibbeting. Often times they were pirates or traitors of the estate/province/nation. They were left to hang even prolonging death to ward off and futher misbehavior/pirateering.

I always say this to people, the people running the world are still the same as before. Only there are way too many of us to control like this. The blood eagle couldn’t have prolonged the suffering beyond the procedure, longer than it would take someone to drown or suffocate; because the lungs don’t respirate on their own. They need the diaphragm to expand them and that would have been negated by the process.

In the case of the Caucescus, all the firing squad personnel had plenty of live rounds. Both were made very holey. Probably several hundred bullets fired. Per body.
The person with the live round, would've known it. Blanks do not recoil. live rounds, do. same if only one had a blank. That person would get no recoil from the shot.

So, theres these fantasy books i read that probably got the begining idea from the catherin wheel.
Their version of it was closer to a water wheel, that would spin in a river or lake, dunking the person's head and extremities constantly, but they righed spikes under the ribs, and above the shoulders in such a way where the victim would have to constantly keep tense in either direction to keep from getting stabbed by the spikes, so every rotation theyd have to either pull themselves up to avoid getting poked in the ribs, or pus themselves up to avoid getting poked in the shoulders.
In the books they also kinda fiddled around with playing target practice and shoot arrows and things at the victim.

In the part you did on Guy Fawkes, it seems like no one can get any confirmation on his death. I remember one video stating he died by his own account as he jumped to his death and broke his own neck by hitting his head upon the floor before he could be hung.

I just can't wrap my head around the blank-round firing squad deal. The recoil comes from the bullet weight as much as the powder charge. On a bolt gun, they would have to really try not to look at the round that's next. I think I would still take it over any of the other options though.
