      yeah, English is taught by most of the schools in Europe and it's on their TVs.. that's why most Europeans are fluent in it, they're submersed in it. Try learning about other countries once and a while.

    Auri! Please don't apologise or feel embarrassed for making mistakes speaking English! For those of us who speak only one language we are SO impressed. And besides, English is a language that doesn't follow it's own rules!

    • @Eventide215
      @Eventide215 3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Well, it follows it's own rules but there's quite a lot of adopted words from other languages that we don't really change. Like how we'll say things like "per se" but that's not English. It's literally just Latin (though people think it's French).

    • @sr-kt9ml
      @sr-kt9ml 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It doesn't really have rules to follow to be honest. Almost every letter can be silent in certain words. And we have so many different ways of pronouncing words. Even words spelled exactly the same can have multiple pronunciations. Romance languages are much easier to learn. Spanish for example is much more intuitive and follows it's own rules 99.9% of the time @@Eventide215

      @@Eventide215I think they mean things like “I before e, except after c.” English has three major languages making up its base, so it’s all over the place. Goose, geese. Moose, moose. Mouse, mice. Rat, rats. Write the rule for plurals now.
      Plus, our language bases all have their own idiosyncrasies. I’ll spare you a litany of examples!

    • @Eventide215

      @@TheGooglyminotaur "I before e, except after c" is a rule and it's followed in English words. The example you list for moose still being moose is because moose is actually a native American word and is already plural there. As I said, adopted words. The mouse to mice thing is mostly because of Old English and how vowels changed to form plurals. It's an irregular plural and there's not many of them. If I remember correctly, it's a thing called i-mutation.

      @@Eventide215Moose might be Native American but deer and sheep aren't and they're the same in plural 🤷 @thegooglyminotaur English just has lots of rules to remember. Most of English fits into one rule or another that we've inherited along the way

    Dear Miss Auri, I can tell you anyone receiving a cleaning like this must be so appreciative. My sister helped me a few days ago and cleaned my bathroom. It was dirty ( but not anywhere near like the ones in your videos) but it was pretty grimy and stained. It took her hours to clean it because she was so thorough. I'm disabled and used to be able to clean it like that myself but I can't anymore. I can tell you I felt like I won a millionaire dollars when I saw how clean and white it was afterwards. . If I felt like this with one room being cleaned, I can only imagine how these folks feel. You are truly a beautiful person and a blessing to these people.

    • @Annajustanja
      @Annajustanja 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's understandable why your bathroom was in such condition, you have excuse - disability. But these people - it's a mystery for me, why they live in such mess, and they have hands and legs and...head. i mean, no excuse for them

      I know how you feel when it comes to bathrooms. I am disabled too and as of the last few years, my equilibrium is off from time to time and I have had falls. I managed to get an untreated hernia on one occasion from falling forward onto the toilet. My disability is when I am down I can't get back up due partly to weight issues but more to do with the amount of bend I have in my knees. That is my disability so cleaning shower stalls is a total nightmare to me. I get the black where the grout should be white. I try using a long handled scratcher that rotates and it does an OK job but it is not as pristine as I would like it. Still, I would never allow my bathroom to be a health hazard like the ones Auri works on. Disgusting. I know she has a lot of followers that have empathy for these people because of their depression, but no, I don't. If you are that bad in the head you need to be taken to an institution as you are no good to society. She even cleaned a dirty place for free for a woman who was a manager. If that woman was that bad that she couldn't clean her home, WTF is she doing out there being a manager to others? The mind boggles at the audacity of these people.

      Being corrected though isn't a bad thing. I think this is a massive issue we have nowadays where people *always* take being corrected as a bad thing. Though she shouldn't have felt ashamed but empowered really for trying to learn. Kid's learning to speak constantly make mistakes learning a second language (or more) is no exception to that. You can see how many comments immediately jump to thinking the person laughing was hating, being rude, etc. They likely did a little giggle and corrected her then she felt bad for making a mistake but it didn't stop her or anything so it must not have been as traumatic as people are making it out to be.

There are two of them living in it and I'm sure both of them have contributed to that mess. I hope that they will try to spend just 30 minutes a day each picking up after themselves, doing their laundry, washing the dishes and taking out the trash, etc That's an hour per day, 7 hours a week. Like they're the ones changing out bedpans, pee bottles, catheters, cleaning up after the patients, etc. They do practically all the work of caring for someone.. Auri. Two things I'd love to share with you. First, you have a bunch of English-speaking people I know (including myself) saying trashes now. Second, you should never be ashamed of struggling with English, especially around Americans LOL. There is a very excellent chance that most of us don't speak ANY Finnish! So you do such a great job with the English language, no worries!

    Best way to get out of video game addiction is get rid of everything, get e books that you can listen to while exercising or just relaxing. Books are also escape, but you don't escape reality of your surroundings. They should get something like Routine Flow app to get in Routine, healthy routine. Keeping everything clean and staying in a routine and books and exercise will help so much with their mental health. I wish them all the best. I went on a game fast, replaced it with reading my Bible for 40 days. After that I was completely healed of more than 10 years of game addiction.

    I sympathize with mental illness and depression. I've gone through it several times through my life. However, I don't understand people who don't at least throw away their "trashes". That's over half the battle. Shoving things under furniture and beds is disgusting. I know I sound judgemental, and I am. If you set aside one or two days a week to take out your garbage, it can never become like this. I wonder how unhealthy these people are? That environment is not good for a person. I admire what you do. In my youth, to make extra money, I cleaned houses. Nothing like you do, but some gross stuff all the same. Take care of yourself and thank you for sharing your work!!!!!

    I think people who have been watching you for a while, understand not to judge people who have houses that end up like this. If i was the landlord, i would be very happy for your help. However, their neighbors might judge them, but to heck with them. i understand why they don't want anyone to identify them. It's wonderful they asked for help.
