Sounds like the apartment owner had mental health issues. The obsession over the contaminated furniture, paranoia about the neighbours which was clearly false. Auri was brave on this one.
Absolutely sounds like hoarding disorder. People misunderstand it because it seems like just poor choices (and irrational ones), but it truly is a disorder that drives people to be this way. Unfortunately, when people who hoard refuse to acknowledge the problem or get help, they make it everyone else’s problem and often ruin relationships and destroy their own support system. It can be infuriating, but it’s really just sad for everyone involved. I hope “Samantha” gets help, and not just cleaning help. This will only be a temporary reset for her if she doesn’t get mental health support.
My aunt has dementia and is extremely paranoid. She believes that people are stalking her or breaking into her apartment. Someone called Debbie apparently troubles her a lot and even drugs her or knocks her unconscious. Debbie has also apparently stolen my aunt's money. The truth is that there is no Debbie, my aunt has not been attacked or robbed; however, she truly believes that all this is happening to her. My point is that Samantha may not be lying - she's probably living in an alternate universe and truly believes in all her various stories. It's amazing what the human brain can come up with when it's malfunctioning. Dementia is awful, both for the victim and their family and friends.
I agree. So many people with mental health issues lie for different reasons. It's surprising that so few people in the comments know and recognize this from their own lives. I'm a normal person, not working in the health care sector, and even I can name many personal examples about troubled people who lie. Like someone with dementia who used to live on my street and always claimed someone was walking on the roof. Or the depressed person who told people it was just an upset stomach. Or the alcoholic who judges other people for drinking on a night out, pretending to rarely drink him/herself. My point is, people with mental health issues aren't always honest for many reasons. Sometimes believe their own lies, sometimes they think they can fool other people, sometimes they put on a mask. I'm so glad Auri is strong enough to take on situations like this.
yeah. considering houses this far gone are usually connected to mental health issues (usually because it can be a physical issue too) and it's not always depression, I don't think it's as easy as "she's lying" like some people say. it could be, but I also see people say it can be a mental problem or like you said, paranoia triggered by a medical issue. either way I'm so glad Auri helped and I hope people go easy on the people involved. We never know the truth so let's be grateful to Auri and kind
I had a family member who has Alzheimers and early on she was very paranoid about the neighbors and swore they were breaking into the house to steal things like paper towels. It's completely possible that this is a delusion from Samantha's illness.
not saying this is the case.just saying we thought the same with our aunty too, until we found out, there was a woman going over and helping herself to my aunties things. after aunty passed we cant find any of her jewelry etc smh how ppl can do this to elderly idk
Yes, sadly I see people around me with personality disorders and brain differences, or age related issues which lead them to be confused at their situation and they grasp at straws for the reason. It can even be the result of exposure to certain chemicals, like pesticides which trigger this disoriented thinking. It is very difficult to empathize, not because of judgement but because imagining not knowing that they're the one doing it or not realising how bad it is because in their mind it doesn't look so bad is very difficult. I have a close family member who is very capable of ending up in this situation and I have to covertly help them by doing stuff when they're not around. They don't realise that I am cleaning and sorting because they don't realise that they're surrounded by chaos but if I try to help visibly they suffer distress and paranoia.
I bet the original owner is the only one living there. That trash has been there longer than a year. She probably was just too embarrassed to claim it. That’s also why she was so possessive for the furniture. I am so glad that you helped her.
I thought so, too, but on the other hand this Samantha seems to be an organized person. She said, she'd come with a car to pick up the trash bags and so she did. Also she doesn't need a wheelchair, but you see a wheelchair in the apartment.
Auri please wear a mask when handling this much mold and dust! Specifically an n95 respirator like a 3M Aura. Theyre very cheap to buy and comfortable to wear. I really don't want you to get sick after being desensitized to all the bad messes you clean. You're such a bright and happy person, take care of yourself
I too believe this is Samantha’s mess. I think she deliberately told you the story about her neighbours to frighten you into not talking to them in case they told you things she didn’t want you to know. Even dumping trash out the back window and picking it up later seemed to be her hiding what was going on. When she realised you had seen letters and packaging in HER name she had to make up another story about why they were there in her name. I feel truly bothered that she would want to keep any furniture out of that house. I really hope she gets the help she needs. Auri you are a wonderfully compassionate human being!
There are people who would rather make up stories than admit that they need help. This is part of repressing the problem. I hope the lady gets the medical attention she needs.
I’ve had a lot of mental health issues in my family and I recognized some things here. Clearly she is ashamed. So ashamed that she has created every narrative possible to avoid accountability. This sounds like a horrible hoarder who is really broken. The coming to pick up the trash tells me that it’s not going to the trash. I’m glad you were able yo help the upstairs neighbor. But the lies and pattern here tells me Samantha isn’t interested in change at this time. I hope she eventually does get the help she needs.
Yeah. It takes being in a certain mindset to ask for help. Auri helps for free, never judges, and the comments on her videos are overwhelmingly sympathetic and supportive of people like Samantha who are struggling-yet Samantha still felt the need to blame others for her situation and problems. It’s incredibly maladaptive to only get help from others as a last resort, while still alienating others by pretending that you aren’t the one who is really in need of help, that others are the “real” problem, and that everything in your life is fine, when it so clearly isn’t (aka, telling straight up lies that everyone can see through). There’s definitely multiple mental health issues at play here, that will require a lot of intense work if she ever decides that she wants to enjoy the benefits of participating in society and building healthy relationships with other people. Thankfully she lives in a country where resources are available-she just has to first admit that she has a problem and needs help. Sadly, some people are resistant to recognizing and admitting their need to even themselves, or are so mentally unhealthy that they can’t comprehend the reality of their need. I think you’re right about that being Samantha’s current mental place right now, and i would be really interested to hear from a psychologist or psychiatrist about what treatment options would even be available and effective for someone in this position.
I really wish Auri would wear gloves and a mask on homes like this. It’s not just dirt, a lot of that is probably mold and feces from bugs and mice. It’s probably dangerous to breathe that into your lungs. On the American show Hoarders, the people that go in and clean houses like that wear protective suits over their clothes.
Yeah there is no way a 70 year old woman made this kind of mess within a year. Plus why would you let a 70 year old woman stay in a neighborhood that was supposedly that bad. It’s most definitely Samantha’s mess that she doesn’t want to own up to!
She got evicted and probably the housing company would charge a huge penalty for this ruined apartment, so the tenant decided to ask for Auri's help and made up this story. Also, she lied about the neighbours to keep Auri from learning the truth.
@@jjfield6210 Auri helps people. Samantha is so messed up, and in such a bad pattern of hiding and lying . If she had called Auri before she was evicted, she probably would have gotten help, and it wouldn’t have gotten this far. Auri never gets played, because she is willing to help people that need her.
I was just this minute thinking that. It is a possibility that she is facing eviction and a massive cleaning bill. No wonder she asked Auri to help her.
I feel so sorry for her neighbours… Just from telling Auri to throw the trash out the window you can tell who you’re dealing with. I hope the authorities take care of her. How this situation has been going on so long with no one noticing it’s her is beyond me. Auri, you are a true angel!
It was clearly her place. She must have felt deeply ashamed on every level to fabricate stories to disassociate herself. Also any of her neighbours seeing anything or knowing anything would have upset her. Sadly I have a hoarder upstairs from me. It’s not so good. Thank you for helping this woman Auri 💜
Barely a minute into this video and I'm already looking at Auri and hoping she's got some extra breathing apparatus and eye cover etc.. Omg. Please Auri, protect your lungs, skin and eyes. We know that you love cleaning but we don't want you to be sick because of it.
This is the spookiest story - just in time for Halloween! 👻🎃 It sounds like the owner is struggling with mental illness, given the paranoia and over-the-top stories. They also probably wanted to avoid paying a huge cleaning fee after they got evicted. Either way, very glad you got to help the neighbors and I'm glad you stayed safe!
Love how she is just downright ignoring the towns worth of spiders that are crawling everywhere she cleans. What a woman, thank you so much for what you do 🙏🏻
I've always been extremely terrified of spiders. My brother used to trap the big ones(like those thick legged jumping ones) under jars and just leave them for me. One time he left one on my bathroom counter and I didn't use my bathroom for a week until my mom made him get him of it. Lol like I freeze in fear can't go into rooms with out slowly making sure there isn't a spider that's going to drop down on me.. I'm a little better now but still scared. When my daughter was 11 we went to a reptile show and while I took my son to get food my husband bought my daughter a tarantula. So now we have had a pet tarantula for 2 years😅😭 I'll buy him crickets and look at him every once in a while to make sure he's still in there..but that's it. I think itsless scary because i know where it is at all times. Lol
Wow, I was shocked when you removed some of that rubbish to reveal the oven and stove under there! This is definitely the dirtiest I've ever seen you tackle. It's quite clear that whoever was living here, whether Samantha or Caroline or someone else entirely - they must be living with extreme health issues, maybe mental health, maybe age related infirmity, maybe a bit of both. Whoever lived here was so obviously in need of help and support, and I thank you for trying to make a difference. It must be such a relief to the property manager to have someone as skilled and experienced as you come and clean up. You mentioned that the tenant was evicted so I really hope that whoever they are and wherever they end up they have some support in place so they don't get to this state again.
It sounds like "Samantha" has mental heath issues and probably severe hoarding disorder. She is scared and suspicious of the neighbors because they will report her and take her things. Maybe an eviction notice and/or other outside pressure forced her to hire a cleaner, but she is not happy about it. At least the home will be clean for now and hopefully she gets ongoing help.
The walls, doors, and ceiling show that this is many years of build-up; there's no way it happened over one year. Samantha is lying. She was either too proud or too embarrassed to ask for help. Her paranoia tells me that she might have untreated mental illnesses, maybe severe anxiety. (I've got it, and it definitely manifests as paranoia sometimes. It sucks.) I hope that this eviction is a wake-up call for her, and she is able to get help in the future.
One red flag I can’t help but ignore is the fact that the owner took the trash…I feel like she can’t let it go and is going to harbor it in her new home as well…I feel sorry for the owner bc she sounds like she has paranoid thoughts related to schizophrenia…they usually accuse others of what ppl accuse them bc that’s all they really know.
It's hoarding disorder, not schizophrenia. Hoarding does have ties to Schizotypal traits, but that's a different thing from Schizophrenic, and it's way more commonly comorbid with OCD and anxiety. Rather than Samantha being delusional about her neighbors, it's way more likely Samantha just made shit up about them to keep Auri from talking to them and finding out the truth behind her flimsy story. I do agree with @@lzal9204 though, she probably just moved all the trash to a new place.
I knew someone with paranoid schizophrenia. Her apartment looked almost like that one. It took me 6 straight hours to clean it. I did this multiple times for her. With proper medication, things got better for her.
I think Samantha is telling lies, that did not get like that after 1 year! Sounds, to me, like she doesn’t like to take responsibility for anything she has done 🤷🏼♀️
She probably isn’t capable of taking responsibility since her mental health state seems terrible. It sounds like she is severely schizophrenic because of that weird stories about her neighbors She is probably living in her own world
It’s probably not intentional. She must have paranoid schizophrenia, is my guess. She might not know that she lives alone or that she doesn’t have a man in her life. When she said there were neighbors with schizophrenia, I wondered if she was really the one with schizophrenia. I think how paranoid she was of her things being stolen suggests this too. I don’t think she’s intentionally lying. I think she just doesn’t know what reality is.
@@tnijoo5109 I think it's probably just that schizophrenia is so massively stigmatized as the "dangerous nutjob disease" that Samantha was using it to try to Auri keep from talking to the neighbors and finding out the truth. Occam's razor: people are much more likely to be lying out of embarrassment than delusion. This looks like hoarding disorder, which btw is not known to be comorbid with schizotypal traits, not schizophrenia. These are different things
It seems clear that Samantha isn’t capable of living on her own. She is a danger to herself and her neighbors. The smells could be very unhealthy for all and the apartment is an absolute fire trap. I hope she gets a caretaker to look after her.
It sounds like Samantha is in a severe mental crisis. I imagine she has locked herself away in this prison for a long time and now that her secret is exposed she is just breaking. As a child of a hoarder (nowhere even close to this bad) my mom would make us hide and pretend like we weren't home when someone came to the door. It's a disease rooted in so much shame. It seems that shame is just so deep for Samantha
This is the first home owner I find it hard to empathise with. I feel a bit sorry for her neighbours, especially for the guy above her, who she told you was a drug addict when he was not. That shows what the truth might be. Some people have a disturbed sight on the world and themselves. Please take care of yourself and your helpers, Auri ❤
I think she has paranoid schizophrenia. I don’t think she knows she lives alone. I also don’t think she knows she doesn’t have a man in her life. People suffering from schizophrenia have a really hard time knowing what is real or not. I don’t think they mean to lie because if they did, they would probably tell lies that were somewhat believable. It’s an incredibly complicated disorder and finding the right meds can be extremely challenging for people. I’m related to someone with schizophrenia and it is such a difficult thing for him to understand reality. It causes him a lot of anxiety. Hope that helps you have sympathy. ❤
There is definitely mental illness involved though... Seems like a classic case of hoarding disorder to me, and schizophrenia isn't a common comorbidity for that
Please don’t skip the floor washing part it’s literally my favorite and makes the biggest difference in a room cleaning. Can’t thank you enough for these beautiful videos and love you.
You're an angel, Auri, for doing what you do, but it REALLY bothers me how some people think nothing to take advantage of your kindness and/or lie to you. Your patience with these people is off the charts.
As far as being in a dangerous situation, I do not believe for a second that anyone would enter that apartment looking for something to steal. I gasped out loud for the first time ever when the refrigerator was opened. The excuses Samantha makes reminds me of "methinks thou dost protest too much". Poor upstairs neighbor!
This story is quite entertaining, but all “Samantha” had to do was tell the truth to Auri. Property managers showed up and saw the mess, and told her she had to arrange or pay for cleaning. Why all the convoluted stories? Auri’s like, “Not sure what’s going on here, but let me at that sink!” 😂
It’s hard to imagine how a home gets this dirty. This is a weird story, who knows what really happened here- I get the feeling that the resident may have some mental issues involving paranoia that need sorting out. But it’s a good thing Auri is here to put things back in order! I hope the cleaning helps the resident feel a bit better, hopefully they get some help.
I really think that the owner was living there alone with severe mental issues. I feel sorry for them and for the long-suffering neighbours. 😢 Aurikatarina, you were a real godsend.😊
I love learning about the cleaning techniques you share. The Scrub Daddy was a revelation to me. I saw it in the store and thought that was a pretty pricey sponge. Had no idea how useful it is. Also, I helped out someone in my family, I think they were depressed and their apartment was very messy. I was able to actually use the oven cleaner and plastic wrap hack. Amazing! It worked. I was so happily surprised. Now I always fold my microfiber cleaning cloths. Keep on doing what you do, girl!
There was no Caroline living there. It was just Samantha this whole time. She was evicted and needed the place cleaned. Hopefully Samantha can get the help she needs.
Yeah, that's actually not likely, she just tracks with the more severe hoarder symptoms. Please don't just throw out random health diagnoses with bad reputations that you don't understand, it's stigmatizing
I agree Auri... There is something fishy about Samantha's story. She told you someone else was living there for a year, I think you said. There is no way you can get that mess and cobwebs. Matter of fact it looks like 10 years of mess. Very sad either way. I saw cat food container on the top of the trash. Does this mean she was eating cat food or was there a cat that lived there? I wouldnt let an animal stay in that condition. You are a rock star girl! We all admire and adore you! I'm not sure how you make my day with these messes but you do! ❤️❤️❤️
I suspect Samantha uses rental apartments as storage units for her hoarding. When she gets caught, she just moves it all to a new place. So this could indeed be a decade's worth of mess
seems like Samantha is either a substance abuser or has mental health issues, or both. That would be why she is so possessive over the furniture, her name on boxes, her excuses, and why she never talked to neighbors, lied about the 'bad' neighborhood, and why you needed to put the trash in the backyard and hide it from everyone. Glad she finally got help with her home, and I hope that she is seeing someone to help her in the future.
Samantha for sure is the one renting the apartment. She lies about everything she said from the start. She needs psych help. You did an amazing job as per usual!
Mental health this bad isn't pretty, polite or rational, I find it strange that many comments are about their lack of empathy. So you only have empathy for someone who is well enough to be polite and rational? I was disgusted by the home, but then I thought of actually living like that, how ill they must be. I hope the landlord has contacted a local authority so Samantha can get some support in her next home. This must have been horrific for her neighbours. Thank you Aurikatariina you are a gem, you clean and never judge. 👏
Exactly. A lot of folks getting mad about lying and making up stories from the owner, but is either from the shame of the illness or the illness itself. Neither is bad. She desperately needed help and Auri was able to give it to her. Whether she lied or not, this has helped in some way.
A part of me wonders if she actually took the trash bags to the dump or to her new residences so that she can go through them and make sure nothing "important" was thrown away
If you're familiar with Aron Beauregard's extreme horror novels and you've heard of "The Slob"....yeah, this apartment is like the real life replica of that guy's place
Incredible job once again. Speaking from experience, I have pretty much at some point in my life not cleaned for long periods of time, maybe not left everything not cleaned, like I would have the energy to keep the kitchen somewhat okay since I had to be able to make food, or then I had times when I just used the toaster or microwave and the energy kept the bathroom pretty clean regularly, etc etc. Let me just tell you, this mess can't possibly have been achieved in one year. Grime doesn't just appear. Even with daily use microwave doesn't get that grimy. All the grime and stains on the walls etc must be like feces or something extra. Asmongold's house is not this dirty and he never cleans.
You’re a saint, Auri. This is clearly a lie from Samantha..getting yelled at for doing your job would be hard. The work you do is a Godsend. I hope that lady gets mental health help.
I do not believe the story the tenant told you, I believe this is her mess and she’s embarrassed. It sounds like she has mental health struggles and I 🙏🏻 for her. How awful for the neighbors and property owner as well. I also 🙏🏻 for your safety in situations like this. I feel like the home that was destroyed by tenants where rats had chewed up the entire kitchen was as bad as this one - at least from what we’ve seen so far. 🤢 As always - what a blessing to others that you are. 💓
I think maybe Samantha believes she is telling the truth. Caroline may not have a physical form outside of Samantha's mind, but Caroline definitely made that mess. Schizophrenia would also explain the severe paranoia, frequent breakdowns in the front yard, and "seeing drug users everywhere". Thanks for helping her, Auri. The mentally unstable deserve a clean home, too. I hope the story about getting evicted is another lie, but maybe it will give her neighbors some peace if she does leave.
oh well, you have SO MUCH patience! this Samantha character sounded disrespectful at times, and still you managed to calm her down and even apologized to her, though you're not even get paid for this kind of job 😅
For God's sake! I am stunned and speechless about the condition of this apartment. 😱 When I watched the video, my jaw dropped several times and I couldn't close my mouth because of my shock. Auri, you are right when you said that this is the dirtiest apartment so far. I thought that too at the beginning of the video. I'm so glad that you had active support again to clean, tidy and tidy up. 😌 Good job girls.
Poor Samantha, and I also feel for her neighbours. That mess looked like the mess of a person with mental illness, or else someone misusing drugs/drink themselves. I hope her new home gives her a fresh start. Well done Auri ❤
It's hoarding disorder, not schizophrenia. Hoarding does have ties to schizotypal traits, but that's a different thing from schizophrenic, and it's way more commonly comorbid with OCD and anxiety. Rather than Samantha being delusional about her neighbors, it's way more likely Samantha just made shit up about them to keep Auri from talking to them and finding out the truth behind her flimsy story
You did amazing, I cannot praise you enough thank god you had someone with you. I think most normal people can sift out the correct information. I think “Samantha” has a distorted reality and definitely needs your help well done 👍
For me, the one that stuck in memory as being really really bad was the house with all the rat or mouse faeces covering (nearly) everything. But not because it was dirtier per se, but because to me rat/mouse faeces are a horror stage of (lack of) hygiene. But I guess the one in this video is actually worse, simply because there's neighbours who suffer from it too.
Yes! I was also thinking of that house! The story also kind of remind me of that cleaning because it looks like the person who asked for help was lying (althought I believe the one with the rats had lied on purpose and I'm inclined to believe this one is mentally ill and trully believes in what she's saying)
I also remeber the rat house when I see this. So far I have only seen 1:45 and am not sure if i want to continue. I feel that this is just a huge danger for Auris health.
Auri, please show more things. The cleaning of the inside of the fridge, the floor of the room, the kitchen door, the inside of the drawers... your first videos showed all that :(
This apartment should have been condemned!!! There is no way this happened in one year. Auri, you and your helper are saints, tackling that disaster. I have cleaned some terrible houses and apartments but this one takes the prize as the ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I wish you would wear a mask for your protection. The tenant made all those remarks about the other tenants and the neighborhood in hopes of you not finding the truth. God bless you!
Oh girls please!!! This is very dangerous, please wear gloves and a respirator, maybe goggles....your work is great but please take care of your health. ♥
Some people are embarrassed to admit they need help. Depression or other similar issues are very debilitating. It takes understanding compassion. It is difficult to understand. I have been there and with meds I do well. But I fight every day to stay above it. Depression is very real and it takes a lot of grit to ask for help. Cudos to people like Auri, who love helping. She doesn't ask questions, just speculates. People in general don't want to see or if they do are too busy and don't want to get involved. I'm always amazed that anything can be salvaged, and Auri's willingness to help with replacing necessary items. Bed with bedding, a coffee maker etc. If you know someone in this condition, reach out, be compassionate and understanding.
You’re right, the story is so hard to decipher between truth or fiction. But I’m so happy you still helped out! You’re amazing!!! Edit: I just finished the video and it seems that Samantha needs mental health help. I hope she gets the help she needs! You’re also definitely a blessing to her neighbors.🙏🏻
Maybe it wouldn't be the worst idea if housing companies knew about you and contacted you when they evicted their residents instead of them doing it as quite honestly: The people who contact you are becoming weirder and weirder. Dirtiest homes: The one in Switzerland or Austria where there was some water accident and all the clothes were caked on the floor, and the horder house with all the rats. This one is in that range though.
I think we all know that this was the owner’s mess, and she was too embarrassed to admit it. But, of course, a true cleaning lover knows it isn’t our job to judge. We hope to make an impact for better mental health with our work, but we leave the actual therapy of things like “admitting you have a problem” to the mental health professionals. It sounds like this clean was more stressful because of the owner’s commitment to the lie, but you seemed to handle the situation very well and with the best of intentions. Good job, Auri! 👍🏻
Bravo to Auri and her helper Johanna for hanging in there with this difficult lady. Samantha is mentally ill. I would bet the the rent on it. Hence the crazy response to the removal of the rotten furniture and her feverish suspicions about her neighbors. The poor woman should be living in some kind of assisted living situation, maybe with a personal support worker making regular visits. A friend of mine used to work with people with paranoia and she said, “Inside their heads is hell.” So we should not judge, (though sometimes it’s hard not to).
I thank you two for helping Samantha. I hope she is getting the mental health and other support she needs. It sounds like she fell through the cracks. ❤
I lived (in the Bay Area) above a hoarder for about six months, until I couldn't take it anymore, and finally called the authorities. The landlord was a liar and a conman, and the place was in a terrible neighborhood as well, though it was not obvious until after we moved in. It's a long story, unfortunately full of trauma. I never once saw the guy in over eight months, except once in total terror at about midnight, when he came charging upstairs and kicked in our door after a noise dispute (I dropped something accidentally!) My (not usually aggressive) husband cleverly filled a pot full of water and tossed it at him to make him leave. After that ruckus, I took action to report the unsafe conditions he was living in. Thankfully, his family got involved and paid for the cleaning and got him into a much better supportive housing environment. I felt badly for him, but I was very afraid if leaving my own apartment until he was relocated. It was the cutest little vintage apartment, but nothing's left in the way of happy memories, unfortunately. I was just grateful that the remaining months before we relocated to the Pacific Northwest were not so odoriferous, and we were MUCH happier to leave the Bay Area after several unhappy events that followed. I watch your hard work with great respect, Ms. Auriikatarina. I do hope you are able to keep your health strong! It is very obvious you love your work!
@@slbarbieri1725 Occam's razor. What's more likely? That Samantha has dissociative identity disorder? Or, she's just deeply embarrassed and lying. Hoarding disorder is much more common than DID is
Why are you laughing? Hopefully something doesn’t go wrong in your brain; it takes the most minuscule of a chemical mishap (for lack of a better term) to cause a cascading effect that results in a life changing and devastating imbalance.
I have not cleaned my garden shed for twenty years, but there are less spiderwebs than in this kitchen. And I live near a forest, we have a lot of spiders. This mess could not be from one year.
Girl you have a strong stomach. If i was you after seen that sink would off run the other way... Thank you foe helping this people, like you say most of them have mental issues or other type of ossues
This reminds me of my neighbor whose house I helped clean when she finally sold the place. She was distressed over the loss of the rotten furniture and trash. She was terrified of everything and dazed and confused at the whole process. She couldn’t get her story straight and was clearly very ill and in need of a lot of help. I hope her current home hasn’t become like her old one because she’s elderly and she could get sick and fall. I hope Samantha is doing alright as well. I know she must be upset and worried.
I have one word: meth. There was a darkness to this place that goes beyond mental illness. This person was most likely cooking meth that's why they closed the vents. Mental illness also gets worse with meth use. Great job cleaning though! I am glad you were not alone in that apartment!
You really must get a proper respirator mask for these projects even if you didn't get sick now over the time you might get sick safe is better than sorry and besides it can make your job easier so you won't have to hold your breath and get out to breath
My house isn't even that dirty, but after this video I feel like I need to do a deep cleaning and a shower 😢 (I admire your hard work and the help you give to this person, may God always bless you ❤)
This sounds like an episode of “Hoarders” and “ Intervention” wrapped up in one Auri! Very disheartening situation, I’m glad you didn’t just say “forget it” and walk away. You did a very good thing!
@@deenasmusicbox Oh, you're probably right, which makes me wonder if the reason she picked up the garbage in a van is because she's moving it all to wherever she's living now.
I've never known anything like that before. It's pretty bad and you did an amazing job, Auri. I hope that Samantha/Caroline/whoever is living there is able to get their lives back on track after your cleaning. I'm sure it will help them.
Wow it is sooo scary. Halloween house!! But what is scares me the most is to see Auri without gloves and mask. Please Auri protect yourself from all this dirt and bugs... See you next week !
The spider webs, dust, and amount of trash are more than one year's worth. Many folks are just too embarrassed to admit it. I am so glad you helped though x

It's terrible that she asked for help and lied like that. Also was rude with Auri. She surely has mental problems.

Однозначно,что у Саманты проблемы
Auri.. I actually sat down and prayed for your safety when this came up just now.
Mas ela precisa se responsabilizar. Ela neonpediu ajuda ainda.
I thought so, too, but on the other hand this Samantha seems to be an organized person. She said, she'd come with a car to pick up the trash bags and so she did. Also she doesn't need a wheelchair, but you see a wheelchair in the apartment.
Indeed, this is years of trash, not a single year.
@Eowyn77 she did say she needed to sit on the grass due to mobility issues.
Right! And she said not to throw out the dishes because she wanted to use them, who uses a random lady's EXTREMELY dirty dishes?
@@livsquackers_1143Yeah, you both are right. And answering to your question: The same person, because they're her very own dishes. 😏
same thoughts
There are people who would rather make up stories than admit that they need help. This is part of repressing the problem. I hope the lady gets the medical attention she needs.
This is what I was thinking too.
Yo también pensé lo mismo. Tenía miedo que le quitasen sus muebles podridos y los fue a recoger. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
What is that blackish stuff in the sinks? I don’t understand how that gets there!
@@Mamallina437poop 🫣
I really wish Auri would wear gloves and a mask on homes like this. It’s not just dirt, a lot of that is probably mold and feces from bugs and mice. It’s probably dangerous to breathe that into your lungs. On the American show Hoarders, the people that go in and clean houses like that wear protective suits over their clothes.
Not to mention rodent droppings can contain some pretty serious illnesses.
Только что хотела написать то же самое.😊 Там еще и противогаз бы не помешал, я думаю. Хорошо, что запахи не передаются😅
whatever spores are in there are probably not safe - I worry for our brave Auri- there are flies and other stuff-maybe bedbugs!!!!!
Not only that, but how on earth does she stand the smell?! I would be gagging every 5 seconds.
Yea. She definitely needs to get a mask.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I’m worried she’s being taken advantage of.
I was thinking the same thing. Samatha definitely has some real issues, poor soul.
Came here to say this, lol. Auri got played.
I feel so sorry for her neighbours…
Just from telling Auri to throw the trash out the window you can tell who you’re dealing with. I hope the authorities take care of her. How this situation has been going on so long with no one noticing it’s her is beyond me.
Auri, you are a true angel!
Samantha was definitely projecting her own issues onto the neighbors. The problems she said they have, are her problems
Yes, for me it actually has been disturbing to watch, absolutely (((( this IS A HAZZARD
This is the spookiest story - just in time for Halloween! 👻🎃
It sounds like the owner is struggling with mental illness, given the paranoia and over-the-top stories. They also probably wanted to avoid paying a huge cleaning fee after they got evicted. Either way, very glad you got to help the neighbors and I'm glad you stayed safe!
Oh, this is Part 1. And the way Auri is describing next week's episode, that would more than likely be a better Halloween story.
exactly that sinks!!!!!!!!
Love how she is just downright ignoring the towns worth of spiders that are crawling everywhere she cleans. What a woman, thank you so much for what you do 🙏🏻
Spiders are a hard no for me. I’d be screaming trying to clean that!
Hahah, if you want to clean such apartments, it's better to get used to critters and bugs 😎
@Aurikatariina where is part 2🥺
So now we have had a pet tarantula for 2 years😅😭
I'll buy him crickets and look at him every once in a while to make sure he's still in there..but that's it.
I think itsless scary because i know where it is at all times. Lol
@@ashleywhite4208 She said next week.
It sucks.)
I hope that this eviction is a wake-up call for her, and she is able to get help in the future.
I would be surprised if she actually took the trash to the dump. She may have just turned around and brought it all back inside once Auri left.
@@lzal9204Well, she was evicted
It's hoarding disorder, not schizophrenia. Hoarding does have ties to Schizotypal traits, but that's a different thing from Schizophrenic, and it's way more commonly comorbid with OCD and anxiety. Rather than Samantha being delusional about her neighbors, it's way more likely Samantha just made shit up about them to keep Auri from talking to them and finding out the truth behind her flimsy story.
I do agree with @@lzal9204 though, she probably just moved all the trash to a new place.
That's what I thought
Bless you Auri for assisting residents like 'Samantha'. Sorry that you were yelled at and lied to about the reality of the situation.
I knew someone with paranoid schizophrenia.
Her apartment looked almost like that one.
It took me 6 straight hours to clean it.
I did this multiple times for her.
With proper medication, things got better for her.
I wish that Sini shipped to the USA. Hopefully one day. I see you using these products and I really want to try them.
I think Samantha is telling lies, that did not get like that after 1 year! Sounds, to me, like she doesn’t like to take responsibility for anything she has done 🤷🏼♀️
If she has mental illness, she cannot rationally take responsibility for anything.
She probably isn’t capable of taking responsibility since her mental health state seems terrible.
It sounds like she is severely schizophrenic because of that weird stories about her neighbors
She is probably living in her own world
It’s probably not intentional.
@@tnijoo5109The people who knock at the door or "steal" must be people who threw away the garbage she left and knocked because of the smell.
I love her choice of words lol. Always sweet and honest, never judgmental 😊
It seems clear that Samantha isn’t capable of living on her own. She is a danger to herself and her neighbors. The smells could be very unhealthy for all and the apartment is an absolute fire trap. I hope she gets a caretaker to look after her.
and she blocked the air vents, it's so dangerous!
Bless you for overlooking the mental illness and focusing on the cleaning!
This is truly a crazy one! I feel so bad for the family upstairs, im sure you've improved their situation so much.
Mental illness is a helluva thing 😞 she could have been having hallucinations, who knows.

Your happy laugh contrasts so much with the dramatic situation that it makes your work seem even more magical and more heroic. You are amazing!
Please don’t skip the floor washing part it’s literally my favorite and makes the biggest difference in a room cleaning. Can’t thank you enough for these beautiful videos and love you.
Hopefully in the next video, since this looks like only half of the room
Samantha is one hell of a story teller. She should write a book!
I really think that the owner was living there alone with severe mental issues. I feel sorry for them and for the long-suffering neighbours. 😢
Aurikatarina, you were a real godsend.😊
I love learning about the cleaning techniques you share. The Scrub Daddy was a revelation to me. I saw it in the store and thought that was a pretty pricey sponge. Had no idea how useful it is. Also, I helped out someone in my family, I think they were depressed and their apartment was very messy. I was able to actually use the oven cleaner and plastic wrap hack. Amazing! It worked. I was so happily surprised. Now I always fold my microfiber cleaning cloths. Keep on doing what you do, girl!
Great job and very inspiring!💗
There was no Caroline living there. It was just Samantha this whole time. She was evicted and needed the place cleaned. Hopefully Samantha can get the help she needs.
I hope the resident gets some therapy so she can go on and have a safe and happy life. Good job, Auri! Love ya! ❤❤❤
Sounds like a serious medical condition of either schizophrenia or multiple personality disorder. Tragic.

I saw a cat tree so she must have, or have had, a cat. Poor thing was living in that filth too.
I can't wait for the second part
I'm sure the neighbors are very relived that you've removed this health hazard
seems like Samantha is either a substance abuser or has mental health issues, or both.
This 100%!!!
This apartment is like a horror movie...Auri - protect yourself - this is so unhealthy environment
A BIG Thank you to everyone involved in this video.❤
You’re a saint, Auri. This is clearly a lie from Samantha..getting yelled at for doing your job would be hard. The work you do is a Godsend. I hope that lady gets mental health help.

I agree! That rat trap house was BAD! I think this one ties with that one for worst mess.
I don't think the trash was ever really thrown out since Samantha wanted to haul it away... because someone might go through it. Such a sad situation!

I thought of that house too. Also the one where the elderly lady had used adult diapers piled about 5ft tall next to the toilet.
Yes! I was also thinking of that house! The story also kind of remind me of that cleaning because it looks like the person who asked for help was lying (althought I believe the one with the rats had lied on purpose and I'm inclined to believe this one is mentally ill and trully believes in what she's saying)
Which video was that i don't think ive seen that one yet
Agreed. The rat house and people were worse.

You’re also definitely a blessing to her neighbors.🙏🏻
Auri, I would like to see your own home tour! ❤ There is definitely the most clean atmosphere in your house! :D
I agree
Swiss/Austrian home with water damage doesn’t ring a bell for me, is that one of Auri’s?
yes, this video is called "THE FILTHIEST HOUSE IN EUROPE" (there are two videos and this is the first) and the story of that girl is realy tragic(
I think we all know that this was the owner’s mess, and she was too embarrassed to admit it.
Very well said!
You made it look brand new!! Great job. And thank you for helping her regardless of her stories. ❤
I never once saw the guy in over eight months, except once in total terror at about midnight, when he came charging upstairs and kicked in our door after a noise dispute (I dropped something accidentally!)
My (not usually aggressive) husband cleverly filled a pot full of water and tossed it at him to make him leave.
You can literally feel the dark energy lifting as you watch this . Grateful to see you helping her ❤
I envy people who enjoy cleaning so much! These videos are so inspirational
Kitchen looks like a different room, an amazing transformation! I would be surprised if this Caroline actually exists, a very strange story indeed.
The juicy story about Samantha and “Caroline” was almost more interesting than the cleaning. 😭
The fact Samantha got mad about someone potentially stealing rotting furniture...
Caroline never existed 😂
Caroline could be a split personality
Samantha = Caroline lol. She's got multiple personalities (none of which can clean up after themselves unfortunately).
@@slbarbieri1725 The "evil twin"? 😊😉
People like that need to be in a hospital or assisted living. It's cruel let anyone live like that. Auri is a saint.
I think Auri and her helpers are divinely protected 😇
My house isn't even that dirty, but after this video I feel like I need to do a deep cleaning and a shower 😢 (I admire your hard work and the help you give to this person, may God always bless you ❤)
This sounds like an episode of “Hoarders” and “ Intervention” wrapped up in one Auri! Very disheartening situation, I’m glad you didn’t just say “forget it” and walk away. You did a very good thing!
Yes! Samantha definitely needs help, and more than just a house cleaning.
I totally agree! Auri apparently was successful on the way she talked to the woman because on “Hoarders” the owner usually makes the cleaners leave. 👍
@@deenasmusicbox Oh, you're probably right, which makes me wonder if the reason she picked up the garbage in a van is because she's moving it all to wherever she's living now.
This one was actually stomach turning for me. You are amazing!
Yeah nice try Samantha we all know you were the one living there lol. But I hope she gets some serious help.
I've never known anything like that before. It's pretty bad and you did an amazing job, Auri. I hope that Samantha/Caroline/whoever is living there is able to get their lives back on track after your cleaning. I'm sure it will help them.
You are a walking, breathing blessing to all these people 💕
Wow it is sooo scary. Halloween house!! But what is scares me the most is to see Auri without gloves and mask. Please Auri protect yourself from all this dirt and bugs... See you next week !
Incredible mess... Caroline and Samantha seem to be the same person. You're very brave, Auri👍👏💖
I think that the fridge would be my worst nightmare ! You are really courageous ! 👍👍💖💖💖💖💖💖
The spider webs, dust, and amount of trash are more than one year's worth. Many folks are just too embarrassed to admit it. I am so glad you helped though x
This was truly the first jaw dropping place I've ever seen you clean, and I've seen all of your videos. I almost felt like I could smell this video.
