Odd that the character finally got it together a couple seasons back and is now off the rails again. Are the writers running out of ideas?
Carver needs to get it together how long do he think he can keep getting away with his bad attitude. He got a dangerous job to do you can't come to work drunk and hungover she did the right thing by sending him home she has to protect her other workers and herself. He already knows Pascal is watching her i wouldn't jeopardize my job for him either she has given him plenty of chances from the time he arrived at 51 so now he either get it together or he's out and then he can spend days and nights drinking with his girlfriend who just wants to control him because she knows he doesn't love her his heart is really with Violet
Hope he doesn't stop working there, he and violet need to get out of the relationship they are in, not to get together, who knows, plus that fire station always they treat some and new person very different To push them to quit,plus there are ways to talk to someone without making them look bad, Carver's girl does everything to destroy him, it was probably she who hid what she Left to him and told to move back to, and vailet who is trying to deceive, she is not herself with the new,plus he sees that she has feelings for Carver, She should focus on what went wrong with Carver communication and how to adress Each other, he has feelings too, didn't they agree to be friends and honest, she should have not sent him home like that, in reality those who are responsible for you at work, have individual conversations with you and it does not hurt to ask many time is it going well, how are you doing.
Okay so here is my theory about what is going on with Carver. I think the writers are just teasing the idea that he will leave. He maybe out a shift or two and while he is out he will come to realize that the girlfriend from back home needs to go. Without her manipulation he will straighten back out and retrurn to the top notch firefighter he was before he hooked back up with Tori. More importantly he will stay at 51.
