Classic case of Hero’s Syndrome, wants to be the guy who saves the day so badly he starts the problem just so he can fix it in front of a crowd for stolen Valor. Aside from that is that really the best line Dawson could come up with at the end..?
One-liners aren’t easy to think of, especially in stressful situations.
I thought hero's syndrome was fake
@@sethcourtemanche5738 Well it's not.
The show spends so much on shooting accident scenes that they can't afford the best writers 😂
@@sethcourtemanche5738 nope it isn't I have even seen it in the military when I was in the Navy and in the war and some wanted a war to happen so very bad they would start things to happen when there was no war they would make things happen and I didn't want to be around a person like that because they were war happy believe it or not
Though it’s acting, It’s heart warming that the little kid was concerned for his sister; you can tell he cares for her
He's a good big brother.
I know! As soon as he asked, "Can I help?" when the search for his sister started, I could feel my heart swell.
I have to say that is some cruel stuff that man did he threw concrete or something at that poor lady car and made her crash and she had a baby and a child in the back seat just for him to do it again to an ambulance
Not to mention that other woman who might have lost her leg
I think I’m gonna pass out
The title made me think the mom purposely crashed the car
This happens in real life more than anyone would like to think unfortunately
Criminal Damage to a CFD Ambulance. Hmm... Definitely rethinking that Charge. It's Definitely a Case of Hero's Syndrome. Dr. Charles was right. But to experience an Episode of Hero's Syndrome towards a CFD Vehicle? That might raise some red flags. IDK what happened after that. Either he was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage or he was admitted to seek help at Chicago Med.
A couple years ago in South Africa we had a huge problem of people throwing rocks and concrete over bridges to cause car accidents, except they weren't doing it because of a Hero complex, they did it just purely for some sick kind of fun. A young girl lost her life due to one of these incidents, she drove her car all the way to the hospital in order to save her injured brother in the back, sadly she passed on arrival from severe head trauma
That’s so messed up. Were those scumbags charged?
Sounds like the kinda thing a kid would do
@@joewhitehead35 teens in 2017 did the same thing and killed a father
@@redpilledhispanic1239Even worse, a young woman lost her life in a similar manner. To three teens who did the same thing.
Yep this happened in America too:( those ‘kids’ need to put on a watchlist
At least there were actual good samaritans around at the accident willing to help
When they found the baby i knew someone had put her there theres no way she would have been knocked out of the car and down the drain and be perfectly fine
That was exactly my thought process too.
The drain lid magically fell off, and equally fell back on once the baby was safely inside😂
@@0Jenna7I was confused 😂
Yeah but it is a tv show , they tend to shy away from graphic baby scenes
I was like how?...
"you're going down!" 😂😂
He was already down.
This show lost all credibility with me with this line.
@@Mamacat1357
Ummm why? They meant legally. He was legally going down because he tried to commit not one but two murders, and one was against a first responder.
@@NickStoehr Scene didn't ring true fore me.
I know this is random, but props to the motorcyclist actor at the arrest scene that fall on the bike was very graceful
I don't know what I should find more unrealistic. That paramedics have time to play investigator on the side or that firefighters play deputy sheriff and pursue and arrest a suspect on their own.
I don't think the firefighters trying to stop the guy is that farfetched. One of the firefighters in their department was actively involved in looking into the situation and they witnessed firsthand the same thing happen again, and to their own people at that. I'm sure first responders are a bit more informed about citizen's arrests and if you witnessed someone assault and try to kill your friend or family I doubt you'd just stand idly by and let the person run away. All you need to do is witness a felony, and at least in my state, assault on a public servant like a firefighter instantly elevates to a felonious assault.
The fact someone thinks tv has to be realistic is the most unrealistic
@@Noonesbusiness-n1iThe ability to interpret a text is not given to everyone.
Okay, I know this is fictional television, but a firetruck chasing a motorcycle?
Lol I came here looking for this comment. 😂 It ain’t no way
he would’ve gotten away if the didn’t
Well, in the real world, a coworker being attacked can real havoc.
It was almost as contrived as the accident he was setting up
But I know that motorcyclist would be screaming if a firetruck was chasing in real life😂😂😂
Ahh. Good old days of CFD. Missed this kind of storylines. Especially Gabby.
The storylines are basically the same
This show is corny lol
the title implies the mother crashed her car deliberately but i guess this is a surprise twist D8
Gabby could have been a better cop than a medic
Shes good in what she does especially patient care.
Shes actually a cop in the another show outside of One Chicago, but i forgot what is
the way he walked out behind the car and the camera gets all shaky wtf is this cinematography i laughed
I can't believe no one is talking about how this is in the news so often, at least here in the NE. It's become some sick game, it's on the highway, state parks, anywhere something huge & heavy to push off at height. A photographer was killed during a shoot last year when a group of "boys* pushed a big log off a rockface right into her, she died.
Gabby has fallen in love with the baby ❤❤❤❤so cute
Gotta be a new kind of stupid to try to escape in the same direction as the firefighters
When I saw the little munchkin is ok. I thought " sweet Jesus Christ the baby is ok!! '
how to tell if someone is guilty: when confronted by authority you run. people only run if they know they've done something wrong.
That’s exactly why Gabby is my FAVOURITE paramedic!!!💕♥️💕♥️💕♥️💕 She’s so gentle with kids and babies.♥️♥️♥️🔥 I love you Monica….♥️♥️♥️♥️ she makes / made the show even more special to watch.💕👍👍💕💕👍💕
9:38 I didn’t know this until a few years ago but I learned that police officers see firefighters and paramedics as sworn in police officers not being that they’re actually please officers but technically they’re honorary police officers and they can make citizen arrest if there’s a good reason like the situation here they knew this was the guy who is causing these accidents so they were allowed to do this. They are allowed to hold him until the cops get there technically if they had something to tie his hands behind his back with they could’ve done that and brought him to the police station because paramedics and firefighters can make arrests but the person can’t be booked just on with that person’s charge. They have to be brought to the actual police to make sure that they can get processed for whatever crime they did. The point being these firefighters did the right thing and they were actually allowed to do this. When he said call for back up it meant call the cops so that they can come get. This guy will hold onto them until they get here which is what they are allowed to do.❤ And honestly, I think that’s pretty OK if a paramedic or a fire fighter see somebody breaking the law and they know that’s not OK I feel like they should be allowed to step in because they are also first responders. Yes, their word shouldn’t be the reason that person gets charged, but they should be able to say hey I am pretty sure you broke the law we’re taking you to the police and I’m not saying they can do it just for like a little random things, but if it’s some thing as severe as this, I think it’s a really good thing to do.
No, Firefighters and Paramedics are not police officers. But they can make a citizens arrest like anyone else who is not a cop.
Big ass paragraph just to say that anybody around can hold a suspect in custody until police get there, you can to if you believe it or not
How did that baby fall in there unharmed?😢
Guy probably snatched her from the backseat and called 911 to make himself look like a knight.
Most people in this age disgust me more than anything 😒😒
@@LillianRodriguez-lh2zfI think that is what happened too. There was no way the baby safely landed in there and it was an odd coincidence that he knew where she was.
Absolutely disgusting; he put her in the sewer drain?! She could have been attack by rats, carried off by currents of drain water, or even eaten by an alligator!
ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN DOWN THERE AND THAT MAN PURPOSELY ENDANGERED SOMEONE ELSE’S CHILD JUST FOR HIS OWN SELFISH GAIN!!
@@Epic11705 I get your sentiment. But do you actually believe Alligators live in sewers in the middle of Urban Chicago?? Lmao
Shouldn't the boy in the back notice, then? Not to mention the other passerby.
I think I remember this being one of the episodes fans complained about on Facebook for being "The Gabby show".
I knew that guy had something to do with this accident! Why though?!
How can this cruel thing happened to the mother and her children? This is heartbreaking.
Your going dow seriously 😂 i would have said your finished
Or how about, “ you like concrete? Have fun living in it.”
That poor baby I would be terrified
1:25 I’m not a parent, and I never plan on being a parent as I have a phobia of pregnancy. However, I have massive respect for the people who do get pregnant and give birth to children that’s besides the point seeing the scene I literally teared up thinking the fact that this baby was out of that car babies are fragile, and the fact that this baby was completely OK when they found her had me crying knowing it could have gone the other way
8uii4r8898Iu cześć co robisz 78 686rr
The guy clearly took the baby out of the car seat before anybody else showed up, and put her in the drain himself.
Firefighters would have been in trouble for chasing down the motorcycle. I get the guy is harming people in order to 'save' them, but even actual police don't get into highspeed chases whenever it can be avoided.
it wasn't a chase. That's why they could do it. They weren't following, they cut off his escape route.
Besides an ACTUAL chase, a) the truck would NOT have kept up with a motorcycle & b) the cops would have stopped once he reached 200 mph
I love the chicago series but some of the dialogue is just cringe.
"You're going down!"
Like what??
It’s probably something someone would say in real life in the heat of the moment
That baby is so lucky that thick jacket saved her not a single mark on her.
How dumb can you be? to 1. know someone's onto you and try to take them out similar to a call when the person first met you. 2. Take off on a little bike when you know they're coming after you in a bigger tankier vehicle. 3. do it in broad daylight then flee in the same direction they're travelling.
You're going down.
I'm already down.
😂😮🎉
Qoeowowlals na druhý deň po venku pit sa
Its so unrealistic it hurts lol 😅
Yes Emts are now moon lighting as investors
This would've been a perfect opportunity to crossover this storyline with Chicago PD
This is so sad I was about to cry, but I was so sad but they say the baby life that’s good though❤❤😢
I would've honestly be surprised, but when Scott found the baby near the vent, it kinda told me he did it
(Nobody saying anything.)
"HEY QUIET!!!"
A bunch of angry firefighters is just as scary as a bunch of angry cops. Possibly worse.
…so, wait…he deliberately targeted the ambulance of someone who was on to his crime spree, but ALSO tried to play the hero in that situation?
I get he’s got the hero complex motivation, but he should already be aware that the police are looking into them. How on earth did he see driving down to the accident site going for him? She even waved him down, so it’s not unlikely he noticed she was fine.
Why are they focused on the concrete when I wanna no how the baby got in that drain cause you would have to lift that crate up to put her in there the concrete can wait the baby situation is more importing how she got in there
I think that’s what he did he threw the block, car crashes, while everyone is dazed he grabs the baby and places it into the drain, he then finds it getting admiration from finding the kid since he knew where it was.
It’s all connected, that’s why they look at everything including a piece of concrete. As they said that concrete could have fallen from bridge but the spot where they found crumbs of concrete, somebody could have also thrown it… it’s all intertwined
The guy on the motorcycle took baby out of her car seat and placed her in the hole.
I’m wander to baby the got that damn drain
I'd like to congratulate our paramedic friend for possibly ensuring that this guy gets off. Any competent defense attorney is going to use the fact she got the information and handed it off to the cop to get it dismissed
Baby save 😮
I love that movie 😀💕
How impossible baby get down here the iron Lutheran impossible
Why is a paramedic going around doing police work and possibly compromising evidence.
That a good story girl 😊
When did fire fighters start doing law enforcement work some of these tv shows are straight stupid
Gezz that must hurt the lady
He was that and he had did that to the dady
4:51 MOVE BLONDIE! I don’t see a patient on that gurney!
how come they dont bother to investigate every person on the scene
What happens to the child & baby
Also did mom survive
Yes everything turns out okay, everyone turns out fine!
Title is veeeeeeery misleading lol! Not even right, but anything for clicks right?
It’s just that it’s another driver than the one we thought it was. Plus it made us click. 😅
can you makc more
Why? Would the mother 👩 want to hurt 😢 her children 👦 👧 that makes me angry her children are innocent
She didn't, it was the guy nams scott who did it the mother was a victim too
Someone else made her crash
Pay attention it wasn't even the mother 😒
4321 is the scene in Higher Learning
“You’re going down!”..? Come on there’s a good amount of better lines I could think of here.
Why did he do that?
I think it’s something called a Hero’s Complex. People love being called a hero because it gets them attention and sometimes even perks. Because they love the attention, it gets to the point where they cause “accidents” and “help”. They get praise from everyone, then move onto the next “accident”.
That was this guy.
@@PuccaLover15 and of course when someone else steals the spotlight he gets jealous.

car doors get jammed in accidents where the door can't be opened at all. I would know i was in a car accident and my mom couldn't get out on her side the driver side because the airbags jammed the door up along with the fact the front left side of the car took more damage than my side.
