I can vouch for Peking House, its the best fried chicken I've ever had. I made a special trip via a 50 dollar cab ride while I was in NYC just to try this place and it well worth it & exceeded my expectations. The gal up front told me to try the salted egg yolk version and I'm glad she did as it was unusual and incredible as was the spicy version. The sides and desert were fantastic too. The food was better than the fancy and more expensive restaurants I ate while in NYC. My diet is grateful this place is 1,000+ miles away as I couldn't resist eating here every chance I had if they were close to where I live. Kudos to chef Eric Huang!
Stumbled across this place after my Antonio's review several weeks ago. I almost walked inside but changed my mind because I had Popeye's the day before. And so I decided to eat at 5 Spice across the street. I have been craving this chicken ever since, I regret not walking in that day ! Great video, loved the look of the chicken and sides.
Thanks! 5 Spice is good too, but I know what you mean. I like having variety with what I eat. But yeah, this is definitely a spot you should visit in the future.
It is expensive, however you are getting the best quality ingredients and the price is worth the quality of what you get. It definitely lives up to the hype!
Chicken looks great. We will be in NYC first weekend in December. Meet us at blondies tavern in upper west side for the best wings!! Love the videos my friend. Keep it up.
They should have knives and forks available. I'm so envious of the amount of food you can eat, I have to watch it otherwise I will turn into a mountain.
It would be nice if they offered a larger family deal. 3 pieces just isn't enough. And a lower price point would also help attract the masses and increase sales greatly.
Is he saying “ethereal” experience? I’ve been watching a bunch of these review videos and he keeps using the same word to express pleasure and I’m flummoxed by the pronunciation.
The complaint about pricing is almost like telling someone to work for less money. You are getting quality ingredients and there is obviously a lot of techniques with their chicken and sides. Some things aren’t meant for you to over indulge but to appreciate the product for what it is. Everything is expensive, and you aren’t at KFC or Popeyes eating a bunch of preservatives and poor quality chicken. You get what you pay for and he shouldn’t have to cheapen his prices so he has to work more making chicken for people but making less money from doing it because you want it for less. Also, don’t be mean to yourself about your teeth. I promise it was on no ones mind. ❤
Thank you! Indeed, the chicken is pure quality and some of the best in NYC. I was more so discussing the price in comparison to other top NYC fried chicken spots. Even in that respect Pecking House is a bit more costly than most. Despite that, the restaurant is still worth going to. I just think that it's important that one know what they are getting into, because an individual can definitely get quality fried chicken in NYC for a bit less.
@@Jamesnu well that's a bit better but yeah still very expensive, can u imagine what they would be charging if they were in Manhattan with that rent? 😆
Sorry, this was not for me. I recognise the quality of ingredients being used, but the seasoning and spices used to coat/flavour the chicken was ridiculously over powering the wonderfully cooked chicken. What's the point of a high quality grade chicken if your mouth is numbed with the seasoning??? Give me KFC any day.

Nice! I still have to try the salted egg yolk version.
You know it's a satisfying meal when there's a mountain of napkins at the end of it!
For sure! The more napkins equates to a greater taste!
The color of the gravy stands out and the chicken looks good.
It was so good!

First! Great video. Thank you taking the time to make it. You da man.
Thanks! I appreciate it! I've wanted to try that chicken for awhile now and it certainly lived up to the hype!

For sure! For some of the best fried chicken that I've ever had, the price is most definitely worth it!
I've had it twice now! I definitely prefer the chili chicken versus the salted egg chicken
Nice! Good to know. It seems like most people prefer the chili chicken and I certainly enjoyed it!
Been wanting to try this place for a while now… great video as always
Thank you! It's definitely a restaurant worth checking out!

Thank you! Yeah, the chicken was awesome and very unique! I hope you enjoy your trip here. It's a great time of year to be in NYC!
Fried chickens can never go wrong!
Absolutely!
They should have knives and forks available. I'm so envious of the amount of food you can eat, I have to watch it otherwise I will turn into a mountain.
Haha! Yeah, I have a big appetite!
They do have knives and forks.
The CHICKEN Looks AMAZING.
It was incredible! It was some of the best that I've had in NYC!
I ordered KFC last night. And it hit the spot. Looking forward to going the Pecking myself!
I enjoy KFC too! You'll definitely like Pecking House!
A hearty side indeed... 😂
pun enjoyed
Haha! Thank you!
I LOVE SPICY BBQ FRIED SHRIMP AND CHICKEN AND WINGS AND RIBS AND MAC AND CHEESE TOO MY FRIEND
Your comment is making me hungry! That's some great food indeed!
@@Jamesnu THANK YOU VERY MUCH TOO MY FRIEND
I will try this!
I hope you enjoy it!

Indeed! The sides are nice and help fill out a meal, but the chicken is why people come to the restaurant and I simply want more.

Was it 27 dollars for just the chicken?
No, the $27 also covered the two sides. It was still pretty expensive, but the food was really good!

@@loobylooroden6176 Exactly! I would probably have to break out the checkbook if it was located in Manhattan.
Looks good other than the heart s.
It was very tasty!
