I went here yesterday and my life has forever been changed. A 3 1/2 hour window of non stop orders and chicken flying out the window. I hope this place stays for good, and I wish it all the success in the world.
Its so funny you say that, im on a munchies spree and its cool how every single video every single cook/chef/Street food vendor is just so easy to watch. I guess its the love of the trade giving that impression, partly
I love how this Chef explains things, very down to earth and still covers all the technical aspects, he obviously has a great resume and it shows in how well he understands every step of the process and can explain it so well. The chicken looks delicious, I hope to try it in the future.
Him and Lucas Shen are really affable. This is my first viewing of this chef and he’s already entertaining. Not to cast aspersions, there are some hosts, the ones that are eye candy, aren’t as enjoyable. Forget her name but she has the impossibly small cosmetically enhanced nose.
A refreshing mix of technical and approachable instructions with some lovely anecdotes thrown in. Looks absolutely delicious! Wishing Peking House all the success, which it sounds like they’ve just about achieved already.
This guy has such a likeable personality and just that confidence. He's generous to reveal his receipe he ain't afraid people copy him, this guy will be succesful for sure
Great humble, friendly, educated, and fun personality. I want to try his food and support his business so much the next time I’m in nyc. This is true passion, none of the fake bs
Yeah I hate that the health industry demonized MSG despite it being healthy to eat. Just because your chips and cup soup says it has MSG does mean that is to blame, it is probably the other unpronounced names that make it unhealthy lol
I feel like his humility & calming personality is somewhat shadowing how good of a chef this guy is. great technical understanding and execution. wish this chef has his own TH-cam or tv series id deffo watch, and yea I've told myself im trying this recipe but we shall see.
Man I know this is so random but my mom recently found out about my weed channel where i smoke weed for a living & now i be thinking about quitting or deleting my stuff now😩😩
Thank you Chef Eric. As a lover of jerk chicken I can't wait to try it's Asian-American cousin. Sincerely appreciate the details and advice given. Please come back again and educate us some more. Thank you #Munchies for finding the best chefs who carve their own path in this world.
i visited last week (from Texas) and it was so damn good that it made me sad that i wouldn’t be able to have it again. it got to the point that i damn near reached out on IG to ask for the recipe but thought that would be rude. and then i see this. hallelujah
Now THAT'S how you know someone is a TRUE CHEF!!! Tasting that spice mix is clearly killing him! But he has to make sure the ratio is right; The Flavor. IS. Critical. Nothing but respect for him.
probably one of the first times I've seen someone has straight up called out the fearmongering of msg. Prior, I've seen ppl explain it's not that big a deal and actually helps food, but this dude was straight up lol
"And we're going to make the chilli paste, with which the chicken is brushed" - this is, at least in the UK, a normal way to say that sentence. I thought I was going crazy, thinking I've just been speaking like Yoda or something my entire life!

I regularly visit buffets in different cities around the states. Before I go to a buffet, I will place 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. After entering the buffet, I sneak the corndogs into some of the fried food section trays. It is such a joy for me to see other customers of the buffet eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buffet.
In Melbourne, Australia, we had a tradition about 11 years ago. When you got accepted into university/Tafe after highscool, most of the institutes would be in the city, and as a new phase in life, you'd have to visit this restaurant called "crazy wings", situated around the universities. And I'll tell ya what, the first time we did it, we all bought jugs of milk and told our lecturers we made a dire mistake and it wasn't the elcrazy hot chicken wings 😂
What is this man doing letting us on his secrets like that? My guy I’m about to be fed soon when everything I ordered is here. Brilliant tricks I found today is rice vinegar powder and flour in the marinade too. Brilliant chef! I like it, Picasso!

Nah Americans don't like seeing Asian men in the media (unless they're getting beaten up, or they're gay)
I'd watch that.

Morley’s
Had to give this a like just out of the sheer madness this guy did of tasting straight up chilli powder.

I literally lost at it him trying the seasoning and saying it needs more sugar in the middle dying from spice. Such a wonderful personality!
the humility is a huge breath of fresh air, would very much love a home style plate by this guys grandmother
Wishing him the best of luck with the restaurant venture. I'm sure he will succeed.

MSG is a great ingredient - I am always disappointed when restaurants don't use it
