To vary the Farmhouses more, I suggest using "Unigue Towns - Base Object Swapper" and choosing the Northern Farmhouse options for Winterhold, Dawnstar and Morthal, skipping Falkreath. Then installing "Northern Vanilla Farmhouses", and adding "Unique Northern Vanilla Farmhouses". I like this method too, because although the interiors are good, I really like COTN for the exteriors. So getting just the exteriors with basically zero patching is gold
A tip for both realism and immersion in your weapon descriptions You do not want a sword to be hard all the way through the harder metal is the edge which is needed to retain it's sharpness, however the steel used on the spine or center of the blade traditionally is usually a softer steel so that it can flex when it makes contact with a hard object like armor or a shield.
@@mordvargr1523 its part of the NordwatUA armor overhaul it's called Berserkir and can be bought from Stormcloak smiths or looted off random Stormcloak bodies
Wow, thank you HeavyBurns .The armour, the buildings, and the landscapes were all stunning but the crowning glory was the ENB, as beautiful a cold bright day in Norway. Good lighting makes such an underrated contribution to immersion as it lifts textures to new heights and shadows make intriguing architecture even more dramatic.
This video was less about making Skyrim "viking-themed" and more about making it what people think a "viking-fantasy" looks like. Especially if the "Vikings" tv show is your main frame of reference. The armour sets especially were just pure power fantasy and nothing like stuff that would have actually been worn. At least the revised town-guard sets had some tonal consistency. I just don't understand how a fantasy-Roman gladiator, or armour sets that remind you of other games, makes it feel like a "viking experience."
Adding the "Fat Thor Films Production" at the start of your videos really is completely appropriate. These are more like mini-movies than mere mod videos. My brain hurts thinking about the level of effort that goes into each one.
Yo, amazing video HeavyBurns. I also love the nordic theme in my load order. For Whiterun, I'd like to toss in my own viking themed recommendation. JK's Redbag's Dragonsreach is my personal favorite, and then of course Glorious Doors of Skyrim. With Skyland Whiterun and Designs of the Nords for textures (mostly for the banners).
