    WOW!! Your instructions nailed this glaze recipe--far easier ( and better ) than instructions of the same glaze I tried years ago. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us; God blesses people of pure heart like you.

    I’ve found that it’s also great with crushed maraschino cherries. It diverts from the recipe, but a great addition. I’ve tried adding crushed mandarin oranges along with the pineapple and cherries for a ham glaze that I’d used on our Christmas ham and was also very delicious. I encourage you to play around with the recipe and make it your own.

    I seasoned some cowboy pork chops, seared them, finished them in the oven & made this sauce to coat them with really good and extra for dipping when they got done & they were a HUGE hit!! I doubled the recipe and next time will most likely have to triple it. Anyways everyone said they were better than anything at any restaurant!! Thanks for the the recipe & tutorial!! Spot on!!

    OH. MY. GOOD. GOD.
    This turned out better than I could have imagined!!! I love the TGI version of the sauce, I mean really really love it! I used to ask for an extra pot of sauce,already knowing the cling film in my bag was waiting...!!!
    I really love it.
    No joke. This is hands down better.
    How u got this recipe, all the ingredients, the quantities?!?! Just absolutely brilliant!!
    I’ve tried these so called copy cat recipes in the past-but they were rubbish and tasted nothing like the original.
    I hope you get a tv show. Your style is so easy to follow.
    Can’t thank you enough.xx just I’m so amazed this actually turned out like the TGI recipe .
    It’s a first for me,

    I tried this-it’s exactly the same as TGI’s.
    I put in too much cayenne, but apart from that, it’s just crazy how much it’s like the tgi version.
    Thank you so much for taking the time to post this, I’ve tried so many peoples versions of this sauce which ends up tasting nothing like it, but this is just amazing.

    I'm not a huge fan of the heat so, I did 1/8 cayenne and 1/8 chili powder for depth. This glaze is amazing! I 'George Foreman' glazed onions and peppers for a low carb side dish. Love, love, love this stuff!!!!

    How do you make the sauce more sticky? i mean in order to "glue" on the ribs? i make the sauce and it is very "watery" although with outstanding flavour! plz help? :) happy new year

    • @DreamingGypsy
      @DreamingGypsy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya! So the best way to thicken the sauce is to cook it on low heat for a longer time in order to "reduce" it - that is what causes the sauce to thicken.

    Is there any concept to why you put the ingredients in that particular order? For instance, is there a reason you added the jack daniels at the reduction step rather than beginning?

    Is it possible to exclude pineapple juice and pineapple slices from this recipe? Is it going to taste good without pineapple juice and slices?

    • @DreamingGypsy
      @DreamingGypsy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it will taste good but wont have that kick back sweet taste that the pineapple provides!

    • @giorgostheofanous9945
      @giorgostheofanous9945 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cooking With Anto Is there anything else we can use to have this kick back sweet taste ? The problem is that I am allergic to pineapple!

    • @DreamingGypsy
      @DreamingGypsy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say Mango is the closest that would taste great with the flavors! Pineapple has an acidic taste to it that cant be replaced, but the sweet mango will work!

    • @richyriot5452

      the actual recipe for jd glaze from tgif doesnt have any fruit in it. It has cider vinegar and dark brown sugar for that sweet tang. This recipe is good, but slightly over complicated the process a little.

    When do i add the sauce? When grilling the meat or when its finished resting after getting grilled? I'm kinda new to these, thanks.

    • @DreamingGypsy
      @DreamingGypsy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You add the sauce at the very end so as to not burn it! Hope that helps...

    • @LadeeBugg81
      @LadeeBugg81 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since the glaze has sugar, it's best to put it in after its cooked. The sugar will burn if its cooked (think creme brulee)
