- If you’ve seen Cleveland police cars parked outside a CMSD school recently, there’s likely no need for concern. It’s probably the new CPD Community Engagement Officers making a friendly visit to read to students, play with them at recess or socialize at lunch. It’s all part of the city’s effort to the bridge the gap between the people who live in the neighborhoods and those who protect them, and it’s helping students see the officers in a whole new light.
There are three community engagement officers in each Cleveland police district. Beyond the schools, they also visit rec centers, libraries and parks, and meet with city council members and community development corporations. This was the first full school year with the engagement officers. The program began in summer 2018.
These are the heroes in America duhhh they serve and protect and share a good word with the youth. Father figure
I used to go there that’s Charles dickens
Now let's take a look at reality.
It has been about 3 years now.
How many of these cops are still with that department?
If you look at these officer's records,
How many officers have committed criminal offenses?
How many have been sued for violations of the Constitution?
How many of these cops have gone to prison?
You do not tell the kids about that, do you?
You do not show the kids all of the videos showing the crimes that cops commit.
Why not tell the truth?
why are you focusing on the negative. every cop does not have this rap sheet that your listing. some of them do great jobs.
I agree🫡
