You know, while there *is* something about watching really good players execute optimally to pick up their tricks... I have no issues with watching you not win gracefully like this whatsoever. You don't have to be a winner to be worthwhile company, everyone should be aware of that simple truth. As long as I don't get the feeling like you're forcing yourself to work in the content coal mines despite not taking much enjoyment out of playing for yourself which it didn#t feel like here. Keep the love of games alive and your charming personality will always draw people to wanting to watch you :)
Thank you so much for all of that. You know, some of my best memories are from games that I most definitely lost. The idea of losing seems to deter so many people from wanting to play at all, that I really want to show that it's not always about the win. To me, the games themselves are so much fun, regardless of the outcome. :)
Thankyou for doing a playthrough of Calico! This is one of the games I want to get to introduce my wife into board games 😁 I'm looking forward to the Endless Winter playthrough too🤘🏽👹🤘🏽
It's a great game with simple enough rules that a huge range of players can come together to play it! I'd highly recommend it as a wifey game. :) I'm hoping I can get a better overhead camera setup soon, too, and then I'll be able to get that endless winter playthrough up for everyone!!
The pattern tiles/ color tiles do not have to be adjacent to one another to count for goal tiles... you just need two of a color/ pattern touching that goal tile to fulfill the AA requirement. Also, I think the old tile is supposed to slide down to be closer to the bag, so you wouldn't have lost the new blue tile that came out that one turn. (edit: it slides further and it is the one that is farthest from the bag that gets discarded... same idea).
@@AfterEvenfall I believe you have been playing on extra hard mode for a game that is already hard enough as it is... especially when you start getting into the hardest scenarios!
@@AfterEvenfall I always thought this is some simple tile-laying, like as straightforward as akropolis and such. But as soon as you explained the scoring tiles, it suddenly resembled a math problem! Also, those tiles have a nice clink, are they plastic or bakelite?
They are actually just your standard linen-finished cardboard pieces, but I'm pretty sure my tabletop is hollow, so it makes for extra clicky sounds as I play. :)
Would love to see you do more playthroughs nice easy watching
Thanks

This is a pretty cool tile placement game. Although I feel like Solo games feel more like labyrinth puzzles
It's true, they feel quite a bit like math equations ;)

Love this one solo ❤ the upgrade buttons are soooooo cute😍
It’s such a nice relaxing game solo!!
I've seen them on etsy before and they look really good. Might have to get them!

That would be a massive game changer for me... :p

Not a fan of drafting and tile placement. But cats are nice. 10/10 game.
Haha yes exactly!
I feel like I will have analysis paralysis with this game 😂
Most definitely. It’s almost painful to watch it back, too and see just how many places I could have taken better tiles and didn’t.
