A remix of Gehrman, 'The First Hunter'. I also used 'Gwyn, Lord of Cinder' from Dark Souls at 3:14. I started this song with piano as a nod to Gwyn and I thought it would be fun to hear Gwyn in a Bloodborne style later on, it fit nicely since both songs are in 3/4 time. Thanks go to Shnabubula (seriously go search Shnabubula and you will not be disappointed!) for giving me that idea.
This was a tough one to think about and took me a while to just get an idea I thought was worth doing. Somebody mentioned making it like one of my Borne in Blood tracks which was a cool idea, I should've thought of that! The original is already gorgeous and fits so nicely with the fight and location. With this I just wanted to enjoy the piece and make it a big epic track. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy it.

Fear an old man in a profession where everyone dies young.
It almost makes me angry that FromSoftware has you fight all these amazing warriors like: Gwyn, Artorias, and Gehrman when they are far out of their prime and are withered husks of their former self's. Imagining fighting them in their prime is almost maddening at how awesome it would be.

Play this while doing a cosplay as Gehrman in his prime and start clearing through Old Yharnam. It sounds so heroic as if it were back when Gehrman stood against the beasts and showed everyone how it was done. He is basically the Batman of the Bloodborne universe, except older and cooler.
By this blood, we've used night by night. Oh good Hunter, your dreams are filled with strife. By my name and in hopes that you awaken anew, we shall have this final fight.
For some reason i can just picture Gehrman, alone fighting the beasts on the first hunt to this theme. As if he was in his prime before he lost everything, before he fell pray to the moon presence. As if the theme makes each fight like it could have been his last and towards the end we can just hear him start to falter...blown away man

The lord of cinder lives on.
People have criticized this remix as for not being faithful to the original... That's because the original is the soundtrack to the battle between a tortured old man and the good hunter who tries to free him (or ascend depending on if it is ending 2 or 3).

The merger into Gwyn's theme was a stroke of genius

Tfw Gehrman looks exactly like my grandfather did, same face and all
Gehrman's OG theme was sad and it was a battle between two Hunters trying to free and protect each other from the Dream. This one makes it feel like Gehrman had enough of the Moon Presence and joins you side by side in one last battle to end the ever lasting Nightmare against the Great One.
This remix fits perfectly if you imagine it playing while Gehman sits in his chair remembering his glory days as a hunter.
