@@VMIyanks04 thank you for that! Indeed a great truck. I’m trying to find time to do a 130,000 miles update video, but it would be so boring as there is nothing to talk about. Truck is running great.
@ I’d still love to watch it though! And all you’d have to do is show your videos of your adventures and it would be a beautiful video! I have about 75k mi on mine now and I bought it used with about 30k on it back in 2020 when I first commented on your video! Even just doing the daily work commute is still so much fun!
A great video as usual, stunning photography and loved the inside of the tents as I nearly stayed there back fifteen years ago and I am desperately wanting to go there , but as I’m from the UK I was invited to a wedding in Key West that year so I made my holiday there instead but I’ve always wanted to see the view from the stream you took in that picture since I saw it in some movies that have been shot from that spot in the past , oh and I watched all the adverts to help the channel
Thank you so much for the kind words and for supporting the channel by watching the ads-it really means a lot! 😊 It’s fascinating to hear about your connection to the area and how close you were to staying there. Key West must have been an incredible experience, though! The view from the stream is indeed magical-it’s easy to see why it’s a popular filming location. If you ever get the chance to visit, it’s absolutely worth it. Who knows, maybe one day your travels will bring you there! Thanks again for watching and for sharing your story!
The Explorer II is such a great watch. I’ve been wearing mine everyday for a few weeks now and it’s incredibly accurate. I spent two weeks abroad over Christmas and tracking time back home with the GMT hand was very useful. Love it.
Hi, Cheyne, I said at the start of your series to decide which watch would be leaving that it won’t be the Explorer 2 this was your first Rolex and you can tell you love this watch it already has history for you You’re pictures really are a work of art but then nature is a work of art
Yeah its such a hard decision which goes, the Rolex Submariner or Explorer 40. We will have to see in the near future. Thank you for that, Nature is incredible. Cheers
I picked my up while I was in Taiwan, its a custom strap. Go to Wotancraft's website and they'll have direction on how to customize the strap for your Rolex Explorer II. Cheers
Hi Cheyne! Incredible video as always! One quick question-can you link to the tools you use to change your straps!? Can you also link the strap you have on this Explorer!?! Thank you!!!
@@AnonYmous-hu6jd thank you, Sure - I’m currently on the road, as soon as I get back home and see what exactly I have I’ll reply with a link or the name. If I remember correctly I got them at a timepiece store in Canada. Cheers
Great video. I love how you talk about your watches being travel companions. In one of your videos you showed a broken G=Shock. Is there another video where you show more about how that happened? I remember you said that quartz watches cant handle extreme temp changes as well as mechanical watches. I’m interested in learning more about that. It would be cool if you did some more comparisons of G Shocks or other watches against the Rolex. Thanks for sharing your adventures
Thank you, Yeah I love a good G-shock and will always have one in my collection, but I have learned to not take them out snow camping or when I'm out for any extended periods of time in sub-zero temps. Sorry, I'm currently on the road and don't have access to my archives due to limited service. So I'm not a 100% sure in what videos I talk about my G-shocks. I do remember in (Rolex Submariner and Rolex Explorer II, Locked in a Brewery Icebox) I featured a G-Shock failing and maybe (Rolex Submariner Date - A Perfect Watch for Adventure). Yes we have had that request and I'll start featuring Other watch comparisons to Rolex in the near future. Cheers
Ok thank you. I watched the video of you taking those watches in the freezer. Pretty impressive. I don’t think you necessarily need to feature many other watch brands as comparison. But another idea is to feature watch types as a comparison. For example quarts watches, and digital watches. It would be great if you could do the extreme temp tests with a regular battery operated quarts, like a Timex; a solar powered quarts like a Citizen eco-drive solar; and another digital G-Shock; and a solar G-Shock like a solar Mudmaster (which is different than a battery version). I think these comparisons against a Submariner and Explorer 2 would be awesome.
I've got a Submariner no date and gmt master rootbeer. I've considered adding an Explorer 2 polar. My only gripe it i wish it was a little bit smaller. Id love it in a 40 or 41.
@Anonymouslyme1 😂 for the record I can handle the size of the watch, I just have a preference for a 40mm case over a 42mm. Then it would be perfect to me
My collection is similar, a sub and I have the Exp II, mine is a black dial and it wears very similar in size to my sub - and my wrist is just regular size, it’s a very comfortable watch and one of my most worn, especially outdoors and traveling!
Awesome video and spectacular photographs!!!! Love seeing these Rolex watches out in the field. Going to order the photo "First Snow of the Season" for my mountain home. I'll contact you via email.
I’ve always thought the Explorer II would be awesome as a 3-hander with a rotating timing bezel. With a SS bezel, it’d be like a tougher version of a Submariner.
The Rolex Explorer II suits your work and lifestyle the best in my opinion. Though I’d have a smarter watch for dressier occasions. Maybe something like a Cartier Tank, JLC Reverso, or a Rolex Datejust or Oyster Perpetual
The Artem Straps are excellent, but there is just something with the Explorer II on a leather strap. Giving I wouldn't put the Rolex Submariner or Explorer 40 on a leather strap, those would go on the rubber Artem Straps. Cheers
@@TheIntellect8 You'll have to wait and see, going to do a full unveiling video. If you good back to some of my older videos I hint at which one I got.

Exp2 226570 on my wrist today. Top watch, love it. Also have the 224270 exp 1 in 40 mm, but at the Moment i prefer the exp 2. greetings from germany.

Yeah I hear what you are saying, but it does wear a little smaller than 42 thanks to how thin it is. Especially the black dial version. Cheers

Explore II is a nice watch but the Rolex GMT (a better watch) is only a $1,000 more. I think most people including myself would rather buy a GMT.

Gay
