It's amazing the time it takes to replace a fuel filter compared to a car or truck. It's also amazing to see the tubes, pipes and and "stuff" attached to the outside of these engines. Your videos are very welcome in order to show us the methods used to maintain them and ensure the safety of those who use them. Well done and keep up the great content.
I m so glad that i found this channel, thank you for making such good videos! I m also working as an aircraft mechanic on A320 and B737, and i m still learning something new watching ur videos .
im starting school in the summer to get my A&P here in the states and these videos are a great insight. I decided to change professions from an auto mechanic and its nice to see that there are similarities. One of the things im looking forward to most in aviation is that there's only the right way to do it. here in automotive you'll have 3 different people tell you 3 different wrong ways to do something on a car.
Thank you for making videos like this! They're extremely interesting to watch. I like seeing all the Stahlwille tools as well. They're not too common in the US
I know it may not depend on you because you do not determine job cards, but in convenient case can you show us THS actuator rem/ins . This is hard maintenance task ! Thank you !
Thank you for the video. I really like these types of maintenance content. I have a question for you: You mentioned that you have to inspect the old fuel filter for any type of (metallic) debris. Now what would be the next action if you found something on the filter. Do you have to open up a investigation to figure out where the issue is? Thank you in advance.
Yes you need to send it to the laboratory to check what is the material inside and depending on contamination you eider dispatch it with a new filter or if it is too much you must ground the aircraft
Thanks for the video. Very informative. Can very cold conditions affect the replacement of the O-ring? Can they become brittle as you are in the process of replacing them?
Great job Tomaš, Just curious, regarding maintenance procedures, per general, which type of engine do you prefer on A320, CFM or PW? For me seems that CFM is designed better. Thanks
It of course depends. I like both. CFM56-5B is a very simple engine, an old concept which works, PW is more complicated and it still has issues but whenever they solve that it will be a great engine, if you have the correct tools it is quite ok 🙂
How long is this process from start to finish to replace one engine's fuel filter? Is this a job that is so frequent that one is doing them all the time? Just found you and the videos are really interesting.
What do you think of this zeto @2:20 I normally loosen the nuts and main bolt, leaving them screwed in on the final threads so cover wont fall off, then once i remove drain plug, I pull down filter cover so that air gets inside and the fuel drains much faster.
You have quite a lot of resistance but yes it is possible. Problem is that I must follow AMM otherwise someon can point at it that I skip something or jumping the steps. You know how are the people in the comments 🙂
Thank you man. These ‘How to’ videos have been monumental in helping me restore my 2005 Airbus A320 that the local plane dealer sold to me.
Ok, here we go again 🙄.
@@zeto.rYou're getting views quit complaining
But to get to people who want to ask something about the video I need to go through these kinds of comments
@@5.43v He's right. My comment/question got burried.
😂
This is really helpful as i am now studying module 15 to obtain b1.1 license.
Good luck with that 🙂 hopefully you will pass it

We are basically college just we work on a different machine 😎🙏

This helped! Thank you!
With pleasure
Thanks for the video. Very informative.

First of all, thank you🙂, Well it depends What do you consider as a cold environment, Because I changed the filter in -25°C And it was still ok
Great job Tomaš,

Do you always lie on the floor? Is there no mat? Top video thanks!
It was a very warm day so it was ok. Otherwise,I I will use mat
What do you do with the drained fuel?
Zeto which camera do you use man it's really nice watching your videos
I have several of them DJI Osmo pocket 3 gopro max and my Samsung galaxy s23
Awesome
Thank you
May I ask when it comes down to the tools you use are they your own that you have bought yourself or does your company provide them for you?
How long is this process from start to finish to replace one engine's fuel filter? Is this a job that is so frequent that one is doing them all the time? Just found you and the videos are really interesting.
It takes between 1-2 hours and you can affect only one engine per night since it is critical task
And thank you for your comment 🙂
Good job
Thank you 🙂
😊that good
Thank you

Interesting to see how much that filter cost. I imagine you don’t just run down to PepBoys to buy one.
Around 4000€
that rug was not totally lint free, was it?
No idea. This are company provided. It should be
Whats the bolts torque value and the drain plug torque value?
Take a look at your manual. I will not share values. Otherwise, people can use my videos for work
On a v25 I remove the cover partially for draining as it breath more and drains quicker
On the video I must always follow the manual 🙂 but there are other ways 😄
@@zeto.r sure . It’s on the better position u can stand next to it and hook up the bucket on the fcoc. When I was At BA we got 3 filter by night
Nice job, but for sure you must smell really bad after such night 😁
Are you based on Loww
Yes 🙂
do engineer airbus must have electical license?
You need modules, yes
🙏🫀
