Don't think it's mentioned here, but this TV supports native 120Hz at 1080p and 1440p. The PS5 and XSX will allow you to run at 1080/1440, so you can run at 1440p/120Hz and have VRR support, which is going to be great for games like Elden Ring that have some framerate drops here and there.

I'm an integrator installer and sell several brands. I tried TCL a year ago because of the cost but you get what you pay for. The picture is bright and colorful but processing is not that great and f the 28 I installed, all failed within a year and they do not honor their warranties.
@@JilesMcCoy Took me 36 hours over 5 weeks on the phone to get them to replace one out of the box that came from their distributor and none of the others were covered. Every phone call I had to start over doing their trouble shooting and taking pictures then pictures of the serial number and the condition of the box. Then when they didn't pick it up I called in with the case number and had to start over. They just wear you down so you think it's not worth your time. As a comparison, in the last 15 years I have installed over 700 Sony TVs and only had 12 fail. All of them out of warranty and they still replaced 8 of them out of warranty.
I bought the exact same tv 2 weeks ago 2 days after putting up in the tv stand it started glitching and flicking non stop had to returned it and got my money back.
I was just marveling at this TV at Costco it was a definite stand out among all 75 inch TVs that were not OLED. The reason is because it has a very special LCD VA panel with 6,000:1 native contrast! In the older days local dimming would you get you that much contrast! So this is a very nice inky-blacks mid-range TV!

Q650 - 2x 10w speakers Q651 - 2x 15w speakers (So the new model has better speakers) Also to note, the new model has a better processor so the image enhancements are better as well as less lag when moving through the TVs apps and menus.
I have the 2019 version of this tv, the 65R625. It is incredibly good even when put up to current model tv’s. My Xbox Series X runs perfectly on it and the HDR looks fantastic.
Look I'm going to be honest here, I have had this exact TV for a month (TCL 85-Q6 QLED) and there is a lot of motion blurry and judder issues. You don't see the football or puck and if you do it's just a blur. In fact at times you don't even see the football or puck. I have tried adjusting every setting and the problem remains. When I watch the the same events on my TCL 55 S-5 upstairs there is NO ISSUES. I'm in the process of returning the TV. If you watch a lot of football or hockey, this TV is not for you.

My only issue with TCL is the processing isnt up to par with the big three and so motion and upscaling isnt as good, but supppsedly the latest 2024 models have improved processing. If they've improved the upscaling, then its a no-brainer.

Hisense u7 is better than the tcl q6. Tcl qm 7 is comparable to the hisense u7, but after two weeks of research, hisense u7 has the edge. Hisense has pretty decent antiglare comparable to the to neo qled tvs, plus the 75 inch version uses a ads pro panel vs every other tv using a VA panel. Making it better for viewing angles. Hisense u7 is also out of the box ready for picture settings, and has better/more gaming options. You honestly cant go wrong with either TV. Smaller sizes like the 55 and 65 are really close in price, $200 difference between tcl q6 and hisense u7. It isnt until you get to the 75 and 85 that you start seeing a $350-600 difference. What really shines with the hisense u7 is 144hz option for PC users looking for a solid monitor, and the ability to play 4kUHD at 120hz on consoles. Sales so far havent stated black friday, so if you see the hisense u7 get a black Friday deal hop on it. Im really considering the 100 inch hisense u7. If you're looking for size without breaking your wallet, go with 85 inch tcl qd6 at $850 vs 85 hisense u7 at $1499. Hope this helps someone decide on a TV. Theres also that sweet oled on sale on best buy right now, 65 inch samsung s90c oled for $999. I picked one up and I've been in awe these last two weeks. My old tvs and monitors look so flat, i cant go back. Edit: 75 inch Hisense u7 just got it's black Friday special at best buy for $899.
@@sportstronics TCL has better colors, but you have to tweak the settings to get there. It also has an issue with reds, but you can tone it down with filters to correct it. Hisense has an issue with greens, so watching sports with green fields is intense. Though, Hisense you don't have to adjust much for picture settings. You can't go wrong with either TV, but I do feel like Hisense has an edge in most cases, especially with the screen glare being better. Q6 is so much more affordable, and similar with gaming options minus the 4KUHD 120hz. It can do 4K 1440p 120hz. Both brands have their issues though, but common with affordable TVs. Only thing I'm curious about is the 75 inch Hisense U7 with the ADS pro panel vs a VA panel. Everyone reviews the 65 inch versions of TVs, and I haven't seen the 75 inch version be reviewed and showcased.

This is classic symptom of infant mortality - maybe it was damaged during shipping or wasn't fully QA'd. Whenever I check TV reviews I want to see all one-star reviews as broken TVs. This means there are no major design flaws except some always die during shipping and you got unlucky....
Wonder how it will be over the long haul? All I ever see are new tv reviews. With all of the fentanyl etc. coming from China I have been doing my best to not buy anything from Chinese based companies and made in China products no matter where the company is based. It has been a real challenge and usually cost me more money but compared to what all of the families of people affected by Fentanyl etc. it seems like the least I could do. I know we want to just hide our heads in the sand which I did for years but when do we stop?
TCL is the biggest OEM in the world. That means if you buy Vizio or Philips or Toshiba or even some low-end Sony models they might be made by TCL! They are hard to avoid. My TCL 43s405 is still doing great after 6 years using it 8hr/day working from home ...

That TV is a Year Old. The New Model is Q651 G or F and the other operating systems they might be using this year like Roku. It has a 120 hz upgraded VA panel which provides Great Contrast and Deep Blacks. This Version of the TV and the 98 inch they Both have this 120 hz VA panel. The others, have a 60 hz IPS panel although I have heard some models have a 60 hz VA panel. It gets confusing...

I've compared the u7 and qm7 and the hisense ghosting and motion is way off. Better colors that's about it.
