I love watching Chiefs home games in this era such a lively loud crowd and the band that used to play there was excellent playing those tunes inbetween downs plus it was old school AFC on CBS games that I love rewatch.
The day I got my dog jazz. RIP Jazz I miss you. I remember riding home in the backseat with her laying in my lap as a puppy, listening to this game on the radio and being so happy when vinitieri missed that kick at the end.
That had to be the best time to experience a game at Arrowhead. They still had the band back then playing music in between plays and playing a live drum when the defense was on the field. Also, the touchdown song where they go like "WE'LL BEAT THE HELLOUT OF U! U! U! U! UUUUUUUUU!"
Scar has been around since the 85 team. Funny thing is he never seems to look any older....people talk about carrol or bledsoe or the team quitting in 99 but ironically if future superbowl hero vinitieri doesnt miss two game winning fgs (this game and a game vs buffalo) the pats make the playoffs and carrol isnt fired.
@@scottaznavourian5791 That is true, but i think this game is when the wheels started to fall off during the season and the next game is when it felt like the team was tuning out Pete Carrol.
@@scottaznavourian5791 Oh yes i remember that game, that is when they were FLAT, and yes they played a bit better but they dug themselves to big of a deficit to make it matter. So yes that game was the nail in the coffin with what was wrong with the team, and the eagles game was exclamation point that Carrol lost the locker room and even as an 8 year old he was going to get fired after the season.
That missed FG turned the whole season around. Yeah the Patriots won the next 2 of 3 but they would have been 7-1 and playoff bound had they won this game
Looking back at these chiefs teams in the 90s makes you wonder what could have been if they would have drafted well and found a serviceable QB rather than filling a roster with over the hill veterans and cast off QBs. And by this time in the 90s they were clearly a franchise in decline, running on fumes from the 92 and 95 seasons

Bledsoe was extremely prolific at this point and it looked like he was on his way to a record-breaking career. Things kind of went south for him very suddenly starting in the second half of 99.
