A. I was wondering what you were doing in the gawdawful heat last week B. Now I'm wondering how long that whole process took and how you had the will to do it C. My version (which would never exist, for many reasons) would involve a lot more swearing, I think. Thanks for the entertainment, as always - it looks great! Glad you had a lake handy for when things got *really* hot
Tidy workshop, tidy mind! Having a tidy workspace is in itself inspiring (rather than somewhere you don’t want to go or deal with). Enjoy all the space you made for activities.
Love a good shop organization! Just did one myself and working in the shop has become a joy again! No more hunting for tools, just have a task and complete it with tools and materials that are easy to find.
What is a ‘woozle’? And what a nice big Bill the Cat you have! Dave, you’re going to outlive all of us, being able to execute in such heat. In the best possible way, the last scene reminds me of seeing photos of Japanese snow monkeys immersing themselves in onsen…. :)
What an immensely satisfying episode, great way to start the week. That was a well-earned lake soak. As always, thanks for taking us along this nostalgic journey!
I'm impressed by the quality of the tent. They're easy to find on-line in several sizes. They deliver in a handful of heavy boxes, and I won't say they're simple to assemble, but it's do-able without undue strain. Arrow Storage Systems and/or Shelter Logic...the branding is a tad confusing.
Great video! Don't feel guilty! You've been busy, we've seen countless videos of Adam doing clean-up in his shop in time lapse. Check out norm Abraham the new Yankees workshop. He built a shop table that would be perfect for your needs. We're all of those tools already in the camp? Or they from your shop in SF?
I looked it up and the head starts at the top of the neck, so I claim soakage of the bottom half of the head. There were no specific promises made regarding top of head soakage, though our legal team is reviewing.
That's what the "for now" was about. I've got it up off the ground on stickers,, It's been a dry spring. It will all be fine for the summer. Plan B will be needed before I cut out for the winter.
On the right (facing inward) side, you could mount shelf brackets to the metal pylons. You could then store the wood there. It would be out of the way, but accessable when you need it . Just a thought.
Man, this is just the best channel and series ever. Can believe that this is not getting attention.
Thanks! Getting attention from Pierre is a start…
Definitely my most looked-forward-to content (sorry, Adam), and you have Bill (Ack!) AND a Woozle!
So there Savage!
You're awarded two points for noticing the Woozie.
Thanks!
Thank you!
A very satisfying episode and the perfect motivation for my planned Saturday Hobby Room clean and reorganize! :)
Get ‘er done!
01:28 What a clever transition!
I had to check 1:28 - thanks for noticing!

It oddly took exactly as long as that heat lasted, but of course, I was moving slowly and sitting on the porch a fair bit.
Tidy workshop, tidy mind!

Thanks Phil. Must be time to pour some concrete…

That's the ticket!

Snow monkey!
Woozle? Ask Piglet.
I love these so much. We have an old cabin in Tahoe, and this is the life of maintaining it.
We're friends with an old cabin in Tahoe and I've put in some time maintaining it. Love it up there.
This is great Dave. I'm not sure which gives me more anxiety...the messy tent or the clean one 😉Thanks for the update, take care!
Hah - can't win.

Glad you liked it.
I have been really enjoying these videos.
Glad to hear it!
Love the mix of that annoying satisfaction of sorting a space mixed with all the history.
That’s what most of my days feel like - sorting history mixed spaces.
What kind of pen is being used on the chalkboard? Great work!
Thanks so much! It's "liquid chalk", whatever that really is. They're great, but leave a stain on the chalkboard paint I use.
Good stuff and little by little.
Thanks -
Bill the cat!!
Original from the 80's, no less.
What are the white pens you're using?
On the chalkboard - liquid chalk. On everything else - Presto Correction Pens. They're addictive.
Very cool video. May I ask the brand and model of the tent and where you obtained it?

@@cinodrome Thank you!

Choosing a shop table design could occupy someone for a lifetime. I’m sentimentally fond of the ILM version.
A lot of them were here. I’ve been slowly collecting others. The SF supply is staying in SF.
Was that Bill the Cat? I wondered where he's been all these years. :)
Yes and scruffy as ever.
Aha!!
Yahoo!
I saw no head soakage. Not sure why that's important to me. Otherwise, really great video.

Local craig: now window doors. Door > bench.
I'm taking some satisfaction in the translation challenge here. Craigslist...use a door to make a work bench...window door? Almost there........
Dunno that putting the wood under is a good idea. Mold and critters might ruin it. Just a thought.
