I have four 12.8 pro time usb batts. in parallel and they are always impress me! seems like the more I use them the better they perform! weird! but true great vid. I needed to see why they perform so well and you confirmed why they do. keep it up good job.👌👏👍👍
I've been in factories in the US where competing brands of equipment were made on the same assembly lines using many of the same components. The funniest thing I saw on a lawn tractor line was a stack of batteries that went into every brand, except when Craftsman machines came down the line they slapped DieHard labels on them.
Thanks for the teardown of the timeusb 12v 100a. I could not find any info on that built-in bms but I'd sure like to know more about the data header for external devices or canbus.
Hi Brad, thanks for the video. I am looking for a 100ah battery for my electric engine 54lbs. There is so much choice that I don't know which one to take. From all the ones you have tested, which one would you recommend for this type of use ?
Any chance you have the dimensions on the battery pack/bms itself without the case. It looks like their is a lot of dead space and would live to re-case it into another option to make it a smaller form factor.
Thanks for the teardown. It looks like a good option but, how do you think it would handle being used in series 24v for a boat? What did you think of the BMS? I've watched 3 times now and still can't convince myself. It's still a lot more than lead acid deep cycles. Help me decide please.
You're welcome. Yes it will work in series, up to 4. It looks every bit as solid, if not more than all the other tear downs I've done. Me personally I think I would buy it over any lead acid, but please weigh the decision yourself don't let me tell you :)
having bought these batts. for home solar project, I took the leap SCARED! as they do cost more than flooded lead acid. I work at walmart and even get batts. at walmart cheaper. but I will never go back to lead acid after buying these timeUSB batteries, I bought four 100ah pro batts and LOVE! them they charge fast with my 400w solar array but plan to add another 100w panel as winter is here. you won't regret it.
Saw another video, and it seems that USED cells were in the Battery. Would be nice to see what are the actual cels rated at and are they putting out 80 percent of their initial rating. Sure they could last a long time but if they have already had 3,000-5,000 cycles on them wouldn't you like to know?
They do have a battery that has used cells. This one is different, and has new cells. They do disclose this when they sell. Here is the video I did with capacity test th-cam.com/video/uqFtCcqZ-ho/w-d-xo.html Thanks!
@@thanapatrachartburut513 The MOSFETs in the BMS cannot handle the voltage your talking about. Soon as one BMS tries to protect the battery by shutting off charging the MOSFETS will fry.
@@berns1853Maybe they are new cell s, instead of used? Lol. Btw I've already tested the battery, and it pulls well over full capacity, so I'm not just going off "because they say so" the capacity test is on my channel.
They come from China, what’s not to believe 😅 The marketing lies that are used are staggering. You cannot buy a true grade A cell 100ah battery for less than 450$+

they got this battery on sale for 208.00 i came here to see the review

Thanks for the teardown and reassuring me of the quality. Just bought two before the price goes up.

LOL, that DieHard label! What fools we are :)
Man bro out of breath already. Great video
Yeah, LOL! These things will kick your butt trying to bang them open. Thanks
Local guy has one of these never used for $80,I need to go grab it

Looks similar to a Redodo. I saw another video unboxing one and the manual and paper work and styrofoam padding in the shipping box looks identical.

me gustan tus videos. yo compre cuatro de estas de 12v y 100Ah. y quiero saver si puedo camviarle la bms y ponerles .
Any clue how these compare to Litime batteries?

At what voltage do you charge that and what voltage is a full charge?
Do you think these would work well on a DC to DC charger in a car for car audio amplifier
They will do a constant 100a discharge per battery. So it might depending on how many amps you need.

This one doesn't have it.

That sounds like a tear down done by Will Prowse on the NON-Pro version of this battery (and the BMS is rated for just 50A).
Can I series it into 72v for my ev motorcycle?
No, these can only series up to 4 for 48v
