Not sure all that trouble was worth it. Someone bought it, removed the batteries, and returned it to get free batteries. You can get those battery packs on eBay for $20. I got an entire charger and battery set for $13 used. If it was $100 I'd understand it but those batteries are "one fits all" for their entire ONEPWR range. There's tons out there. Not a big deal. I actually got a second of these OnePWR vacuums for $25 that "was not working", turned out to be a bad battery pack. Got another pack for it and presto. This was less than 5 months after it came out too. PS: Don;t wait 2 months to open vacuums you buy. Open them the day they arrive.
Good for you for putting that Miele to use. I have a brand new in box Miele s227 De Luxe. Not long ago I decided to unbox it for the first time and put it into use and I enjoy it so much more than I did just having it sit in storage.
The Miele really is the exact opposite to the Vax you unboxed. As you said back in the 80s Miele products were excellent quality, available only from independent retailers or the very best department stores. Miele customer service was also second to none. Sadly the customer service you experienced with Vax is quite frankly abysmal. Unfortunately that seems to be the case with many manufacturers nowadays.
My grandfather had a similar model in that grayish 80s green. And now after 4 decades I learn it had a blow function. Yes, time flies and Roger made the right decision. Tomorrow may never come.
I’ve used one of those, the rotary dial to change the power has really lovely damping to the mechanism, proper engineering! I love Miele as a brand… definitely worth the money. Yes, really 1980s design! Amazing video, keep up the brilliant work!
They are a pretty poor brand anyway, especially when it comes to quality. Out of all the brands I own, I've had most problems with Vax. I used my 6131 carpet washer a few times and the last time I went to use it, the pump wasn't working.
About time you used a proper vacuum for vacuum of the month, especially if you use the electric brush! Shame the Windtunnel was too beastly for you, I always fancied them, even if they are ear splittingly loud. My grandmother had an original one in purplish burgundy. They sure did clean carpets though.
Still a handsome machine all these years later.
That old Miele is a lovely choice! It is definitely still easier of the ears, as it has a lower pitched and probably quieter motor.
That Miele is so much quieter than the Maytag and that Vax monstrosity.....

I'm so sorry Vax didn't work out and that was appalling the service they gave you. You can't beat a true classic vintage vacuum, wonderful job!
Vax's loss is Miele's gain.
@@ibaisaic I agree with you!

I've used the blow function several times this week. It was very useful to help dry my Mum's Shark cordless after I gave it a mini refurbishment.
It’s like the current Miller c3 grate grandmother I wish we got the radiator Bush still be good for the air conditioner filter
what a wonderful choice for vacuum of the month! I hope you told Vax how why and where to go

I love how daisy is sleeping through the vacuuming and your other 2 dogs are like "oh no"
Can you please do some kind of robot vacuum for December vacuum of the month?
I love how Daisy is so nonchalant…..❤😊
She's seen it, done it and bought the T shirt. The other dogs don't get the exposure Daisy does.
The tool storage compartment and door has such a high quality feel compared to the c3 which is kinda flimsy.
I’m disgusted with Vax customer service, or lack of it. I’ll know to avoid that brand.

I used the Sebo Felix Pet one month and a vintage Electrolux 504, they are certainly proper vacuums.
I'd like to know how much that Maytag weighs. It's a behemoth !
It's not that heavy actually being made mostly of plastic.
It's a stripped down Windtunnel. It's less than 14lb.
Nice Miele
You can’t go wrong with a Miele
Miele are still bit more dear but the washing machines and dryer are much more dear if I won the lottery I would have all my weight goods as Miele
Daisy is so over vacuums..even NOS 80's Mieles!
Who saw the ghost 👻
Where was it.
That what I want to know as well
You have three dogs
No, I have two dogs.
Absolute scam
What is.
@@ibaisaic The Vax (i guess) btw love your videos from Turkey 🇹🇷❤🇬🇧
