@@leea389 their job is to save lives at sea. It's not up to them not to save possible illegal immigrants or people who didn't use their 2 braincells before going into the sea with their padle board. Those volunteers risk their lives to save others and therefor should be highly respected.

@@coastie1961 I didn't mention HM Coastguard because I was replying to a remark about the RNLI providing free taxi service for illegal immigrants. It seems though that that remark has been removed :-). And yes, ofcourse HM Coastguard has a vital role.
