Hey Guys !!! That is a sharp installation !!! I've bought Viking Bags before. A deer hit one and it won't lock, but I've been satisfied with 'em. I like your blinker relocate and extras. You'll laugh, but I was impressed with that drill bit you tapped the holes with !!!
Great video! I did a set a few years back and the Viking Bags video has a lot of areas where it's not clear what to do. You definitely hit the nail on the head with this one. Keep up the great content!
Viking bags can’t be beat for all around value, IMO. I have a couple of their products and will definitely be getting more. Probably some permanent bags for my new ‘21 FXLRS I just picked up!! I prefer the more leather style bags and they have a ton of options from Viking! I’ve already ordered the “road warrior” fairing from Memphis shades and waiting on that to arrive. Getting a sissy bar next. Already have a little luggage rack piece to cover the fender. Yeah, awesome bike! Looks good. Have fun!
You don’t use a #40 or a 1/8” bit to pilot drill your holes first. I’ve seen many instances where a unibit wandered slightly off the mark. You should always pilot drill your holes.
When they have a sale the price is unbelievable! My friend spent a little time adjusting his to get the desired open/close effect. Some other guy I used to know cried about his to Viking and they took care of him, excellent service. Up to you to resolve since these are custom mount products with lots of variables. FWIW I used mine for 2 years without issue.
Can you add some video from the rear view, I really like how they look on your bike, I like how you were able to make them closer to the fender, do they hit the axle nut at all?
What license plate bracket did you use to relocate the rear turn signals? I like the clean look and plan to purchase a set of these bags, but I am held up trying to figure out the best way to relocate the turn signals.
Hey man, that is exactly the setup I want, great job! Can you let us know how much you had to chop off the brackets to get them to work with the quick hold fast mounts?
No issues. I used the stock exhaust with cardboard “spacer” to ensure enough clearance. The Thrashin AR pipe now on the bike gives even more clearance.
@@jeniusbiker ya it probably will be. Thinking may be better to go with a sport glide, change a couple things, 117 kit. Be easier to get and probably cheaper.
@@curtisbull1583 Honestly if mostly 2up riding I’d get a touring standard. Road glide and street glide standard 107’s aren’t too much more and it’s way better suited for 2up. I’ve ridden both the standard RG and SG for extensive miles and theres nothing better for 2up.
They do come painted, however I suggest getting a permanent ceramic coat or a layer of clear coat applied before mounting. The paint is a very basic single stage that will scratch easily.
Leather pros are definitely nice bags, but more of a club style bag than touring. I went back and forth on the two and decided I wanted hard bags for long trips.

Thank you for the amazing installation video! We hope our bags are still serving you well!

Nice video. Very helpful. Now I know what bags to buy.
Too many chotski bags out there to decide which ones to get. This video makes it easy.
it sounds great!!! its all about that pipe!!!

Viking bags were ok for the price but a issue I had is one openend and closed fine but the other one didn't ever wanna open

Niiice. I have the same bags and same bike. They look badasss. I really like them aswell.
Awesome! I can’t believe how well the bags fit the bike. Almost looks OEM
What model bags are they and size?
Love the bike brother 🤘

Theres a link in the description to the one I used
Nice looking bike. I’ve got a 2020 Drluxe.
Thanks! It’s my first Harley and I’m in love with it!

We cut off the equivalent length of the hold fast mounts. Thanks for the kind words!
Is there a quick release option for their bags? Looks great!! Nice bike and great vid.
There is, but I didn’t like how far out the bags appear to mount with the quick release.
Looks great brother. Any clearance issues with the exhaust?
No issues. I used the stock exhaust with cardboard “spacer” to ensure enough clearance. The Thrashin AR pipe now on the bike gives even more clearance.
Looks good dude 👌
Thanks!
Awesome vid mate! What make and model is that seat you have on?, Please keep the vids coming. Cheers.
H-D sundowner seat, it’s a very comfortable 2up or all day riding seat. Thanks for the kind words!
Could this setup or close to it be comfortable for a passenger on a long ride? Wife being the passenger. Lol
Really liking the new low rider ST.
Definately want to swap the rear shock if you do lots of 2up. The new FXLRST is nice, but it’s gonna be hard to find this 1st year

What is this seat? It looks very comfortable, especially for the passenger.
HD Sundowner
Yo! Where did you get the black mounting bolts ?
The black parts are from the HD holdfast kit I used for my removable sissy bar
@@jeniusbiker nice ! Thanks brother
Did the muffler burn the bottom of the bag or it hasn’t
No burning, does tend to keep contents warm tho
Awesome
Where did you get that turn signal relocation bracket? @@roadassassin9445
@@michaelarbuckle2686 from Amazon
What seat is that?
It’s the HD sundowner. It’s my seat of choice for long rides or 2up
@@jeniusbiker Thanks bud
Did they come painted that black color?
They do come painted, however I suggest getting a permanent ceramic coat or a layer of clear coat applied before mounting. The paint is a very basic single stage that will scratch easily.
I’d rather have LeatherPros for a few hundred more.

@@jeniusbiker totally get that. Besides, it’s a personal preference like anything else on our rides.
The seat is way to big for the bike
I have a few seats, that’s the 350 miles a day seat
Super c'est valise
Wtf is that seat bro
That is the most comfortable seat for my 300+ mile/day rides!
Fuck buying a product you need to drill holes in!
It’s all about the mods!
