Great review. The car is getting a lot of hate, for all of the wrong reasons. Looks like Ford fixed that jerky 10 speed. I’m expecting a PP GT this week which was factory ordered, can’t wait!
Great review. I have a 10R80 2020 GT when it was stock the the trans would klunk etc but after putting a Whipple SC on it and getting a custom engine and trans tune it now shifts like butter and very quick shifts I must say.
I knew this vid was gonna be good from the title and the thumbnail, looks very good in that color. I mean for this price in this spec, its hard to pass, especially since the new supra goes around the same price or a little more, but for the price, its a lot of car ,almost 500hp and an epic soundtrack from the v8. If i had to pick against it and the new supra , i would take the new mustang for sure.
Interior starting to grow On me. The screens were a deal breaker at first but they actually look cool when they are on and lit up. I was waiting for these to come out so i could maybe find a good deal on a used s550 but nkw i think i want to wait a few more years for one of these instead 😄
The 10R80 is shifting smoother? That’s a bummer. I like my shifts to be pronounced, like a performance car. I guess Ford wants the Mustang to be a BMW.
After test driving a well equipped 2024 GT premium with the handling package and 10R80. Comparing it to the S550 GT Premium. It's a major improvement. Shifts are solid whether normal driving or driving hard. Maga ride has been improved and I'm a hugh fan of the overall new design with it's high tech interior. I notice Nobody mentions the hood is longer and the belt line seem taller. I recall Ford mentioning you can enter or exit with a helmet on. I'm waiting to see if Ford will be introducing a new Dark Horse Cobra or GT500 before placing an order. With the UAW strike. Current Orders will likely get pushed back and with the limited production Dark Horse being extremely hard to find. I guess I'll wait for a few months before ordering or purchasing dealer inventory.
That amazing turning radius makes me happy me thinking into the future doing donuts in a tight space in the middle of the street so my grandkids can see haha looking to get a s650 soon 🙏🏼😫
@@JVette01 I know that in 23 they fixed the CDF drum issue that 22 and below cars had which was the cause of the harsh shifting. Maybe you can drive a 23 and compare?
During Motor Trend and Steeda tests. They both launched using the foot brake at around 2500 RPMs creating solid launches. I believe Steeda ran a 11.2 pass.
You mentioned steering. It depends on the settings. You'll notice the suspension improvements with the performance package and the retuned Magna Ride. The steering box has also been upgraded. The hood is longer and the side belt and doors are taller than the S550. I'm wondering how many miles that base GT has. FYI. The factory Twin cone filters are restrictive. From Dyno pulls. Removing the carbon traps and using K&N air filters pickups 15 extra horsepower. Add Kooks headers and the increase was 40 horsepower. The Gen 4 Coyote uses improved internals versus the Gen 3 Coyote. One thing discovered is the Gen 4 is more restricted due to the new cafe regulations regarding carbon emissions. As mentioned earlier. Changing the cone filters to K&N and adding Kooks headers reflect a 55 horsepower gain verified on multiple Dyno pulls.

Still not a fan of the screens and those mode change animations look way too distracting. The small, recessed, satin screen between the gauges on my 2016 gets washed out and made totally useless by the sun all the time, I'm in a coupe and previous owner had Florida tint installed. I can't imagine what a nightmare these gloss screens are on a sunny day and they just scream to me "CHEAP, IT WAS CHEAPER FOR US BUT WE AREN'T PASSING THE SAVINGS TO THE CUSTOMER".
I hate to inform you, but Ford didn't cheap out on the visor lights. It's called natural lighting. Most of the time women will be using that lighting because they will be putting on makeup. And if you have a girlfriend at all you'll understand that they want natural light to be able to see what their makeup will look like when they're standing in the sun rather than just a bright light.
@@JVette01 no you can't That's the reason why they use natural light. Natural light is caused by bulbs that have a natural light effect in the area! You may think you can get something with a LED that is considered bright white light but it will never be something considered that is natural. So I'm sorry but keep on trying is the only response that I can give to you. There is a reason why the lights from the shades are natural and that is because of our wonderful beautiful females.
It’s nothing but a S5 50 mixed up with a Camaro with a lot of touch of a dodge charger. It’s nice but to me it is 550. Looks quality the new 2020 Ford Mustang looks cheap.

Well that's not true btw the dyno shows power to the wheels, I just watched a dark horse dyno it measured 438 HP to the wheels which came out to the advertised 500 HP at the crank....so you're wrong they are as advertised
Good showcase. This will be the spec I go for. Just a base gt with a 10 spd is all I need.

The clunky shifting makes it feel cheap. However, you can still feel them, they’re just more refined.
I love what they've done to the interior. If the 10 speed has been smoothed out, i might have to take a ride in one to check it out.
You should!
