Benford Terex fault finding. Building a ‘wall’ and more dribble from my small brain.

  • Benford Terex HD1000 dumper no tip or lift - issue/problem/fault.
I had full guff on the wheels and steering but nothing on the lift or tip mechanism. Turns out the electrical connection on the top of one of the solenoids was full of water, had rusted and probably tripped the pop-out circuit breaker, fuse or trip. Call it what you like.
I bypassed the pop out thing as it wasn’t visibly popped out and this resolved the problem.
Apart from that, here’s a quick update on what we’ve done in the few precious hours we’ve had free in the last week or so.
I am desperate for Spring and am definitely getting worse at enduring the bleak winter months.
Kates gym arrives next week in the form of a wooden summerhouse and I am really keen to try to get the paths, lawn and fencing understood. This rarely happens quickly and we change our minds A LOT.
We draw designs on paper, scribble with paints on the ground, talk a lot, point at things and stand in every location to get a perspective.
Some things are designed, some just happen and others come and go faster than you might imagine.
Anyway, here’s us trying to get some progress in our lunch break. This is how we stay sane. :)
    Later Taters.

Hi have you ever had the fault where is starts but then won't tick over just cuts out mine is annoying me some people saying the anti start module with the red leds can go faulty

@@gastongate6097 Funny you should ask that. I was thinking about how that box works and I think it is simply a set of open circuits which are closed (by switches on the seat and joystick.
I think it works by offering 12V +ve to a switch, then goes to the white led box. If it sees 12v on seat & joystick then it just acts as a relay and allows start. So, to bypass it, I’m guessing you could permanently wire +12v direct to the led box.
Having said that, I don’t see why the engine would stop on its own. Once the anti-start has done its job, I don’t think it can stop the engine. So if yours starts, it doesn’t sound like an anti-start (little box issue).
To back up that theory, once it has started, you can move the joystick and get off the seat. Both are requirements to start it …but not to keep it running.
Something else is wrong I think.

@deetee6621 well I spoke with a chap who said that box should not engage the starter motor so as mine cranks it should not be that box, mine will crank and start even if you have the forward or reverse gear engaged,it will start with the emergency stop Button pushed in or out but the dam thing will just not tick over 🤷
