Rushing to mount the body on the chassis 😝

- The rush is on to get the body mounted back on the chassis... Bad Chad is welding a 4" inner sill to the framework of the floor skeleton. Then he needs to weld a temporary brace underneath the chassis that will hold the body until we get it fitting with the right stance. Meanwhile, Nathan is prepping the inside of the body by getting rid of any surrounding metal that could interfere with the new floor 😝

Dougsgg should definitely have at least mask to prevent him from inhaling the dust particles from entering his lungs .Which could possibly come from lead paint ingredients.

The body will have no rubber pads to assist in cab vibration may be a problem . The floor is solid to the frame and will have road and drivetrain vibration that maybe be quite noticeable but it’s up to you. We have never done it that way and it maybe alright but just a thought at this stage. It is looking good though ! No matter the process, very skilled work is evident.
Will the body fit on the floor ? will they drop the body? Stay tuned for the next exciting episode 😮

I used a sliding garage door frame......on the ceiling...used the brackets for the door to slide in the frame,,,,,,Comealong..........2 x 4 thru the windows and put the body on the frame alone. Max could only help on Tuesday nite.Steve on Sunay... BAH. Do it myself.

Getting close to landing the 1933 Plymouth Coupe on the chassis. The Hiltz Team are going to make it work.
If you used the barrel grainer with a plastic stripping barrel, you would strip the paint 4 times faster than using a drill motor. I recently stripped a PV Volvo with such a device and that’s what my experience has showed. Barrel plastic stripping drums are available from Amazon.

you have got such an amazing crew now hard to almost imposible to have that now a day's love the car cheer's
Get these guys some PPE Type3 (minimal) mask or air feed mask , dust extraction units and a couple welding curtains to stop flash for starters
I heard using a mig welder tempers the metal harder then a TIG welder which makes the weld more prone to cracking, with tig welding being also more workable (formable) while doing body work.. Everybody chime in and tell me you’re experience and thoughts !!!

Chad could have put the body on the lift outside and lifted it up. Then, roll the frame and floor underneath the body. Then, drop the body down over the floor all by himself, but then, again, it doesn't hurt to have a little help from your friends.
The abrupt stop on the video makes me think that there was a bad accident.....hmmmm

those stripping wheels come in a 4 and 5 inch that fits on your grinder thats what i use to strip powder coat on propane tanks and i think Doug should wear breathing protection i learned the hard way breathing the grinder dust in
