As a nearsighted patient, the slit lamp brightness is very uncomfortable.
How does the doctor ensure that the device does not generate any accidental damage to the eye due to the light?
Is the type of light completely benign to the eye?

Yeah, this cannot burn. Though for patient comfort a doc might take a break during a particularly lengthy exam
