SPECULAR REFLECTION in SLIT LAMP | All you need to know
the video talks about specular reflection in slit lamp techniques. Specular reflection is an advanced technique of examining the ocular surface like the cornea and the lens. In particular the specular reflection is used to examine the epithelium and the endothelium.
the principle behind the specular reflection is that the angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection during the dazzle specular reflex from a smooth surface.
Using the specular reflection we can understand the quality of the endothelium, epithelium, precorneal tear film and even contact lens wettability. The video explains in detail how to do a specular reflection on a slit lamp
