I just subscribed to your channel after your bathroom renovation was recommended to me. So I'm new here so I apologize if you are from the CO... I just thought I would let you know if people were stealin your pictures cause there are some scams on marketplace
My husband and I are both 80 years old now. But we have worked on our home , doing all of the work ourselves like you are doing now. I just want you to know that work like this is a labor of love and you will remember these wonderful days forever. Enjoy these years. I wish I could still do it all. ❤
The post/planter didn't work because the base was too narrow and light. Much safer to concrete them into the ground, however the soil and water around your post base will rot your post rather quickly unless you sealed the wood.
As someone who DIY’d her own patio and installed my own posts, dig at least 3 feet. Tar the bottom of the post so it doesn’t rot in the ground+moisture. Then proceed with the remaining steps.
I change homes often and redecorate my spaces frequently. My house has been filled with creamy colors and texture, but now I’m starting to add color, which seems to be the new vibe. I love it!
I love this! So glad I found you. I really appreciate that while admitting you weren't a skilled carpenter, you just went for it! I really think it looks so nice. Hope you're still enjoying it.
I think you guys did an awesome job! You are absolutely correct that the finishing work is so important! It brings everything to a higher level. You wont believe how much you have increased the value of your home doing these improvements! Good job guys!
Wow what a transformation. You both can be proud of what you've accomplished. You've added some value to your home. Looking forward to seeing your upstairs renovation.
I’ve been doing commercial and residential remodeling for about 30 years, and I must say you guys did a really good job! I especially like the range hood - even with very little experience, you “nailed” it!
Hi Kenzie, I watched every one of these videos as you released them and always came back for more! This video compiling everything you two have accomplished this last year is just amazing. I can not get enough of your dream kitchen makeover. You two are so talented and have been so inspiring. I want to apologize for my absence in commenting on many of your latest videos. I am not sure if you noticed. However, in December my dad had a fall and then was hospitalized and had heart surgery. Thankfully he is improving. Although it did scare my whole family and it changed a lot that was going on last month. Now my entire family has been hit with a severe case of the flu and therefore, I am still behind. I have not forgotten about you or how much I love your channel, Evelyn's channel, and Jenna's channel. The three of you are so amazing and I have watched you all when I have needed cheering up. Can't wait for all of your videos in 2024! Happy New Year with lots of Love!❤
hi jill! oh no, i’m so sorry you’re going through all that right now. you deserve the most happiness!! you have such a sweet soul & i thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support to my channel. you are such a blessing to me, so i’m sure you’re the biggest blessing to your family!! praying for healing for you & your family 🤎
Kenzie!! Love all the work y’all did. Your home looks beautiful!! I love love love your kitchen. Wow!! Great design choices and it looks like y’all hired professionals to remodel everything. I love the update to the fireplace too!! Smart to change out the more farmhouse German Smear and go with the more minimal, timeless look. Y’all are very talented and deserve massive props for your work. Love seeing your sweet kiddos and fur babies too!! ❤
Other ways to add height are to use books, vases, etc. I noticed you put the faux tree on the stool, and side table in both makeovers but you're always taking away valuable space that could be used for drinks/food or for people to set their phones down. For the guest room/office I would attach a floating shelf or side table to the wall by the couch since you don't have a coffee table and for the patio, prop up the tree using a decorative wooden block or a column of some sort to free up the side table. Absolutely love the green built-in with the golden hardware and the patio came out cozy. I commend you on the kitchen refresh with the tile backsplash, mixed metal hardware, making the refrigerator a custom build and how you redid the kitchen island, in particular. Great job!
Wow, this home makeover video is a rollercoaster of emotions. The dedication of the team from start to finish is impressive, and the before-and-after shots left me in awe. It's inspiring to see how a complete house remodel can turn a space into a dream home.
Glad to see your channel grow so much, you deserve the growth and prosperity. You're talented and really fun to watch. Thank you for sharing your skills with us 😊😊😊
STUNNING kitchen my friend! I'm a DIY'er too and let me just say, "mmmuuahhh!! Chef's-kiss perfection!" 💯 you NAILED IT! 🎯 Literally! 😂🤣🤣😜 I have been in the planning stage for my kitchen and want to do something similar but I want surround-cabinets, floor to ceiling, around my fridge. Ohhhh, yeahhhh, I'm nervous! Lol! Doing it all by myself. Me & Jesus! Lol! 😂🤣😉👍 I LOVE the tile ❤, the range idea is genuis and the above fridge hack..., girl, we are 2 minds that think alike! 💯🤣 the island "beef up" with red oak is brilliant and beautiful! I know you showed alot more renovations of your home in this video and they are all amazing! The kitchen is just my absolute favorite! 💯😍😁👍👍 Thank You SO MUCH for sharing! It helps inspire peeps like me. Ps: I've never watched your channel before and you TOTALLY have a new sub from NC! 💯💣😁👍 God bless you and your hubs!🙏❤️👍
hey girl!! yayyy i’m so happy you’re here 🥰 HAHA “me & jesus” i love it 😂 i’m sure it will be challenging at times, but it will be sooo worth it in the end 🥹 good luck with your reno girl!! feel free to send me pictures on instagram once you get it done, i would LOVE to see! 😍 you got this!! 👏🏼
My husband and I prefer our crown upside down, my husband who has been in construction for 44 years knows how it goes and he and I both agree we like the way it gives more character! Calk is your friend for the finish :) great job
I agree, it looks pretty but some stuff that they built doesn’t look sturdy. Like planter boxes need some plastic inside so wood doesn’t rot. Same thing with poles. They will get rotted too. And filled them with just dirt It looks like the wind will blow them away.
I literally just found you out of the blue, and I’m absolutely in love with the living room!!! It’s not something I would normally like, but idk I love it! Especially the fireplace!!!
Those posts are going to rot from sitting in wet soil. If anyone else is thinking of trying this, you’d probably be alright using cedar posts with waterproof sealer for extra protection. But cedar is expensive and I still wouldn’t recommend soaking structural posts.
This has motivated me to use 2024 to start pricing and planning out my own DIY projects for the things we want to change in our home. One question I have for you is concerning the microwave. Do you not use one? If so, where do you store it now? I went 3 years without one and it felt so good to have one again.
You have some very creative ideas in all of the projects you did here. It looks great and very inviting! Congratulations. You and your husband made a great team. You kept your animals guessing as to what you are doing next as well.
Wow, you guys did an amazing job, love the tile in the kitchen, so pretty. I really did like the brick you had put on the fireplace, I thought it was really pretty, it did give me an idea for my bedroom, so Thank You!
You guys need a "push stick" when you're using the table saw for small pieces of wood. The next tool to invest in would be an 18 gauge nailer. You'll love it for a lot of these types of projects instead of screws (and you can use it to attach the trim pieces with the wood glue rather than taping and waiting for the glue to dry)
thank you!! it can slow down the process a little bit with kids, but we do have help from family with the kids right around the corner if we need it 🙏🏻🥹
Enjoying the video. For the sink base cabinets in your office: you can get hardware so they will tilt out. Instead of sponges, you could put pens, pencil tape, etc.
Love all the projects! My only advice is wet sand so less dust (My dad just taught me that it's helped so much) and if you score the back of drywall, it would bend how you want it, but IDK that you could wet drywall so I could also try that on my next project that I could use that. Thank you and love your style!
Wow I love your tenacity! The hood turned out gorgeous and the tiles! It's funny bc your kitchen looked fine...nice appliances etc but once you did the work you did and updated the appliances and even stools! Super job. Keep up great work...very inspiring. 😊patty k.
How do both of you work in the office without bumping into one another and where do you now put your computer monitors? It's a lovely room with nice color choices; however, I am confused about its functionality.
Sooo beautiful!❤ I remember the first fireplace: I wanted to do the same, but it didn't fit into our home...but I actually loved all three versions, the brickwall was pretty, but the rug was to wild.. the third one is also really pretty! And xour kitchen is a deam❤ you are really talented ❤
Where did you put the computer screens, love the office, I been getting ideas to remodel mind but my work from home requires two computer screens, just wonder how you will put them in that set up
I love it! My only comment would be to remove the handles on the fridge and spray paint them to match your faucet and oven and it will be so much more cohesive! Other than that I think you did an amazing job. You should be so proud of yourself and your hubby too!😊
Kitchen change-up looks beautiful! The fireplace change was so nice in the end so much better!! I wasn't loving the brick thing. First time enjoying your video and was enjoying the updates!! Well done!🤩
Your post may rot quickly. They don't look like they are pressure treated, cedar, or other rot/insect resistant wood. Also on the planted boxes, you may want to put a liner in them to prevent rot as well. Just a heads up. The office looked amazing!
Idk if someone else mentioned already but I think ur planters were too small compared to the height of the posts and the pull from the wind. Looks better the way you finished it but in case other people were trying to do the same thing. Also you can probably pop those drawer fronts off the cabinets in the guest room and add some Ikea drawers to the inside. Look up Ana White she has a video adding drawers to premade cabinets. But even without everything looks really nice.
Gorgeous remodel projects! I love this kitchen and I’m about to tackle ours. Question for you, what is the new distance of your upper cabinets to the counter. That made a big difference! I’m wondering if I should do that to my uppers? Also, can you link the backsplash tile?
we raised them 6 inches above the standard height! it made a hugeee difference in making the room feel bigger 🤭 the backsplash is from riad tile! it’s the 2x6” zellige in the color natural white ✨
I hope you’re happier with your solar string lights than we were. We finally threw them away, and we live in Arizona with probably 315 sunny days per year! I noticed that a lot of your pretty flowers in the window boxes were hyacinths. Those are Spring bulbs and should be planted in the ground, so they’ll come up every year.
This has inspired me and given me so many ideas! Also, careful with your Dyson going over any moisture. Even the tiniest bit can get to the motor and cause problems, oftentimes once that happens, it's irreparable.
The planters with the concrete were too small at the base. They were already top heavy before the sail and the sail has a lot of force too. But the idea is really nice and thr patio turned out perfect! You now have the absolute pullet proof post solution and csn even hang way heavier stuff.
hi fam!! who's been here since the office remodel?! 🥹🫶🏼
Me 🙋🏻♀️ I’m trying to slowly watch ALL your videos!
The planter needed a larger base for the post it was too top heavy.
Me
This is going to sound so odd but I shop a lot on marketplace and I swear that I seen some of your pictures online here in Colorado Springs

wow, thank you for this comment. made my day 🥹 god bless you & your husband! ♥️😭🥰
If you ever want a different desk setup, you'll be sorry you didn't do the whole floor. Just sayin'.
I love the stove!
The post/planter didn't work because the base was too narrow and light. Much safer to concrete them into the ground, however the soil and water around your post base will rot your post rather quickly unless you sealed the wood.
Exactly what I was thinking. They would probably be okay with cedar posts and a waterproof coating, but these will definitely rot.
As someone who DIY’d her own patio and installed my own posts, dig at least 3 feet.
Tar the bottom of the post so it doesn’t rot in the ground+moisture. Then proceed with the remaining steps.
Too funny…..”but it worked on Pinterest!”.

Kitchen looks great! Love the tile and the new look of the island. That is something that I need to do to mine.
You guys did an incredible job! Thank you for all the details in how you accomplished the remodel. Very inspiring!!
I love it that your chair faces the window. Mine used to face the wall and it was a game changer when I turned the desk so I faced the window.
Wow, this home makeover video is a rollercoaster of emotions. The dedication of the team from start to finish is impressive, and the before-and-after shots left me in awe. It's inspiring to see how a complete house remodel can turn a space into a dream home.
i just showed this comment to my husband, thank you so much for being here and showing your support 🥹🥰 it means everything to us!! 🫶🏼🤭
Kitchen is absolutely stunning. And I agree about your fireplace, love the last try the most.
Why would you put a cabinet by the window and cover your vents
Glad to see your channel grow so much, you deserve the growth and prosperity. You're talented and really fun to watch. Thank you for sharing your skills with us 😊😊😊
this is so sweet. thank you so much for saying this and for being here!! 🫶🏼🥹

This is my first time on your channel. I can’t believe that you guys did all of that on your own. I love the counter chairs.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you’re here 🥰🫶🏼
I can really appreciate how on hands you are with virtually everything.
My husband and I prefer our crown upside down, my husband who has been in construction for 44 years knows how it goes and he and I both agree we like the way it gives more character!
Calk is your friend for the finish :) great job
Susan, you are the mantle queen! Always love your mantle designs. And your winter dining table-🤩🤩 gorgeous!
Love the second fireplace! Makes the room calmer to the eye.
You guys did a really good job. The jobs that were done you all made seem so easy. I'm so glad found this being up early that you new subscribers.
Those posts are going to rot from sitting in wet soil. If anyone else is thinking of trying this, you’d probably be alright using cedar posts with waterproof sealer for extra protection. But cedar is expensive and I still wouldn’t recommend soaking structural posts.
Why did it work on Pinterest? 😂😂 You are an amazing team! ❤️❤️ Together you transformed your house! ❣️
😂 thank you SO much 🫶🏼🥰
Second Firewall transformation was phenomenal.
This renovation is so inspiring. Great job! I can't wait to watch more of your videos.
It looks beautiful. I’m so impressed with your remodeling skills and enjoy watching your videos.
Very lovely! My favourite was the kitchen, the backsplash tile is gorgeous and the island finish is perfect. Subscribed :)
Oh my goodness!! So much work but with fabulous results! Everything is so professional. Love.

Yes, that brick needed to go. Looks so good now. Love what you did with the kitchen too.
Your room makeovers look amazing! You are both talented and know your way around power tools. Great job!
you are so sweet! thank you!

You guys did a great job with the reno. I'm moving into a builder grade new construction in a few weeks and can''t wait to customize it to my liking.
Wow, you guys did a great job. All the finishes are beautiful.
thank you 🥰

Your kitchen was honestly nice before but wow the after ! Very nice
I loved everything you and your honeybun did. I am soooo proud! ❤
yayyy i’m so glad! thank you so much for all your support 🥰

That is GREAT advice! Totally doing that next time i sand. Thank you so much for your kind words 🫶🏼🥰
Loved the fireplace in the end! 😍
Unbelievable transformation. Love your new rooms in your home.
ahhh thank you so much!
Those posts in the back yard are going to rot. You have to use treated lumber when the wood touches any soil or concrete
Even PT will rot if it’s sitting in wet soil
I’m glad the faux brick fireplace was removed. I thought it clashed in style too. Beautiful remodel throughout, especially the kitchen👏🏽😍
me too girl 😂 thank you friend!! 😭♥️
It all looks great, but the kitchen is very impressive for DIY. Looks very rich. Nice
Wow I love your tenacity! The hood turned out gorgeous and the tiles! It's funny bc your kitchen looked fine...nice appliances etc but once you did the work you did and updated the appliances and even stools! Super job. Keep up great work...very inspiring. 😊patty k.
Everything looks so beautiful! I love your style! You and your hubby are both very talented! I'm a new sub, and I am so glad I found your channel!
You both did this DIY, like a pro. Well done❤
Awesome DIY ! My fave is the kitchen perfect with that gorgeous stove.
LOVED the kitchen! Great transformation
Kitchen turned out very pretty.
How do both of you work in the office without bumping into one another and where do you now put your computer monitors? It's a lovely room with nice color choices; however, I am confused about its functionality.
Who wouldn’t want to work, in that beautiful office ❤️❤️
Sooo beautiful!❤ I remember the first fireplace: I wanted to do the same, but it didn't fit into our home...but I actually loved all three versions, the brickwall was pretty, but the rug was to wild.. the third one is also really pretty! And xour kitchen is a deam❤ you are really talented ❤
totally agree with you!! thank you so much for being here 🥹🫶🏼
wow!! The kitchen was a hard project, but turned out so nice! Good job!
Loved everything, but especially the kitchen!!
You did a beautiful job. The house looks beautiful.
thank you so much!!
You should be so proud of yourself and your hubby too!😊
Great job! Totally enjoyed seeing every step of the way!
thank you so much! 🥰
Kitchen change-up looks beautiful! The fireplace change was so nice in the end so much better!! I wasn't loving the brick thing. First time enjoying your video and was enjoying the updates!! Well done!🤩
I liked the original shiplap fireplace best, but I love the new kitchen and patio.
Your post may rot quickly. They don't look like they are pressure treated, cedar, or other rot/insect resistant wood. Also on the planted boxes, you may want to put a liner in them to prevent rot as well. Just a heads up.
The office looked amazing!
Wow! You did an awesome job!
Stil wouldn’t recommend putting the planters around the posts though. Now the posts will be soaking in wet soil and rot.
You and your husband are so talented...Love all your content!!!!!!
thank you so much friend 🥹🫶🏼
Looks great. You can also paint the radiator, no need for a cover less bulking in a small space!😊
The bad thing you covered the ceiling vent for over all looks ok it does the trick!
Seriously, that takes alot of skills to undertake ! Props for the team collaboration. Curious why the air duct is obstructed in the office?
Wow just found ur channel…these DIY are awesome!! The plastering is seriously impressive!!👍🏻👍🏻🥰
thank you so much for sticking around!! 😊🫶🏼
Wow ! Your home is just so beautiful !
thank you!! 🥹
Beautiful!!!
This is very inspiring! Thank you very much!
Incredible kitchen makeover!!!
Incredible transformation! You guys did such an awesome job, its absolutely beautiful! I love the kitchen so so much!❤❤
ahhh thank you so much 🥰🫶🏼
Would like to see the other side of the kitchen island please. Great job so far 🎉
I absolutely LoVe the backsplash tile!
it’s a dreammm 🥹
I had the same sand box. Looking verry good and practical, but boys crushed in two months. How is your's lasting?
I hope those post dont come up. You need to dig past your freezing point for them to not get pushed up and out from the freezing ground.
My two cents: I would have placed the desk with shelves on the opposite wall. Blocking a window is a no-no.
The planters with the concrete were too small at the base. They were already top heavy before the sail and the sail has a lot of force too. But the idea is really nice and thr patio turned out perfect! You now have the absolute pullet proof post solution and csn even hang way heavier stuff.
Girl, you are amazing!
ahhh thank you girl! 🥹🫶🏼
Which shade did you use for kitchen cabinets? The kitchen turned out gorgeous ❤❤
Wow your kitchen is amazing !
thank you!! it was a lot of work but SO worth it 🙈
Wow you worked so hard. Great job
I love haw all your projects came out.
